ttyvnd32.vxd

I recently installed new software on my laptop which runs only in safe mode. My operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium. When I try to access the new software (a commonly used payroll), I get the following message. Access denied C:\Windows\system\ttyvnd32.vxd. Software company providing payroll software have never heard of this problem Google does not recognize the name of the file. Appreciate any help.

Hello LewisGribben,

What is the payroll software, that you try to install?
Is it compatible with Windows 7?
If you right-click on the Setup file of the payroll software and select 'Run as Administrator' you get
the same error message?

Please let us know.

  • Tecra T8000: How do I copy the file vmm32.vxd hard disc to disc

    Hi all!

I have here my father-Lawa´s T8000. The operating system (win 98) seems to be messed up, it will start only the message that the vmm32.vxd file required for running windows and the lack of Ista´s.

I found help on the microsoft home page that says I should extract from the original in dos mode win98 cd, but I have no idea witch letter corresponds to the cd-rom drive... Can I change the A:, B: and c: everithing else like D:, E: and so on Wona´t work?

I'm also a bit confused what it Wonta´t start of the (original)? Win98 cd. In the Bios boot priority is CD-disk hard - ect.

But it does not start on my xp home cd!
    Any ideas?

If you want to boot from the recovery of Win98 CD you must first load the accompanying disk.
This floppy can be found on the Toshiba driver page. After downloading and unpacking you should read the Readme for more details.

In DOS mode, it is possible that the HARD drive or the CD/DVD drive does not use the same letters as in the mentioned operating system. You can check the contents of the data carrier with dir command BACK.

But if you are a beginner and do some many experiences I would recommend using the recovery CD.

PS: The Toshiba Recovery CD is not the same as the original Windows CD and so I don t think you can find the file on the delivered CD of Tosh and will be able to copy it.

    Hi Olivia Lee.

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    2. has the recovery disk provided by Compaq?

    3. what happens when you try to boot from the recovery disc?

Unfortunately, you will not be able to use the recovery disk to repair Windows XP as these recovery discs are very different from the original Windows XP.

Therefore, you will need to make arrangements for an original CD of Windows XP and later to perform the installation of Windows XP.

Refer to method 2 in the below Microsoft article on how to repair Windows XP installation.

    Hello

19 error code means there is a driver conflict such as two devices attempt to use the same resources.

This can occur when more than one service is defined for a device, if there is a failure opening the service subkey, or if the driver name cannot be obtained from the service subkey.

    Uninstall and reinstall the driver

  • Wireless Cardbus problems Tecra 780DVD

    Hi all

I've recently updated to Win98 (using the upgrade version) from Win95 with the hope of being able to add a wireless card.

    The brand is ADDON ADD-GWK140 (54 Mbps PC card). I followed the instructions, but considering that Win98 detects the card and the drivers seem to load correctly, the map stay calm (no led power), with a yellow exclation mark in Device Manager. The error indicates that;

NDIS.vxd, or Chargers device ntkern.vxd for this device could not load the device driver

I tried to reinstall but no dice.

Could someone suggest a solution? Any help would be appreciated!

    Thank you

  • Satellite Pro 4270 and network problems

I just got a laptop, Toshiba Satellite Pro 4270... I installed win 98 on it and it works beautifully.

But then I added LAN PCMCIA card in computer and wanted to do some sufring. I encountered a problem.

In the next devices, win98 reports error handler:
The NDIS. VXD, NTKERN. VXD or Chargers device for this device could not load the device driver. (Code 2).

The card is 3Com Fe575C and I downloaded the latest drivers from www.3Com.com/warranty, but that did not help. I also ran regclean and reinstalled the card after that. Always the same fault. With my own laptop (win2k pro), the card works perfectly with no additional drivers, so the map itself is not defective.

In addition, the Win98 find PCI card when starting, but I have no driver for that... Where can I get that? It does not specify which card that is...

    Hello

I guess it is Win 98 Second Edition You are using on the 4270.
Please go to driver download site and download the INF-update to the PC Card controller. I think this should solve your problem.

While you are at it download the other drivers you need more.

  • Question about updating BIOS for my Satellite M40

So, my laptop does not start, but works recovery procedure. Support suggested me to update my Bios.
OK, given that the last time, it was easy.

    I downloaded the newsest version vor my Satellite M40 (PSM40) (1, 70 - WIN<= i="" have="" an="" ati="" grafics="" card)="" and="" extracted="" the="" bios-20070709161345.zip="">
    But there was a surprise:
Instead of getting the old data structure, as written in the FAQ update Bios
1 extract the zip file containing the BIOS upgrade to a temporary folder.
    2. in the folder temporary three subfolders will be generated. "docs", 'Update - 3.5' disc', 'Update - CD - R or CD - RW"

I get a file only: BIOS of Windows Knockhill10GV170.exe
Extraction of it I get 8 files:
    -fdbase.img
    -InsydeFlash.exe
    -iscflash.dll
    -iscflash.vxd
    -KPM170. ROM
    -Platform.ini
    -The c:\windows\system32\unicows.dll

Now my question: How can I create this bootable CD-ROM to update my Bios?

Just to know: download all the other things are done on my desktop from my laptop is not starting ;)
I also tried to run the exe in the hope that it will create a floppy disk or a CD-ROM, but it is written "basic cfg address not found."

    Hello

Update the BIOS there are two ways to do this:
-Traditional mode (TRAD) and in this case, you need floppy
-Windows (WIN) and this update can be done under operating system running.

Update BIOS WIN will work if you run Windows on your laptop satellite. If I understand your assignment well you are trying to do traditional BIOS updated, but using the BIOS to WIN update. On the Toshiba download page, there are two listed BIOS updates and two of them as versions of WIN. This means that you can update the BIOS under operating system only.

Back to your problem: in the history one thing confuses me when you write: my laptop does not start, but works recovery procedure. Sorry, but if the recovery procedure is working and you will have clean installed OS.

Be a little more concrete in our laptop does not start. What happen exactly when you press the power button / stop?

  • Portege 7200 multiple problems

    Hello

It is my last ditch attempt to try and get some sort of difficulty for my Portege 7200.

I will try to explain as best as I can, so this is.

I had a system dual boot (Linux & Win98), did not want Linux HD so formatted and reinstalled Win98.

Everything works except for a few problems that I hope you guys can help with.

    1. at startup (before windows logon) I am invited with cannot find VREDIR. VXD and a few other VXD files.

2 screen dislikes the adapter PCI/AGP of Trident Cyberblade e4-128. Only the driver installed, that followed the instuction on the Toshiba tools and utilities cd-rom. keep getting invited to change my display at startup configuration. Once logged into windows screen does not match the entire screen (black border). Have used the companion disc one receives with the Portege to stretch the LCD. The screen is bigger, but the display quality is bad.

Can anyone help as I am at a loss on any one of the above point.

    Kind regards

    Joe

    Hello
most likely, these files are not at all. This message usually when these files become 'independent' in the registry, or when certain network/protocol device missing files.
The problem with these files occurs generally when you install something in the network control panel that does not install correctly.
If you have recently installed a network adapter or Protocol in your system, remove it and reinstall it.
The IPX protocol is often also responsible for this message.

    Good bye
