Tungsten E2 memory

I bought a Palm Tungsten E2 with a 2 GB SD memory card, but when I put it in the card slot, that it is not read by handheld. I put it in the right direction, but it's as if the card is not there at all. What should I do?

Take the card to the store.  The E2 cannot read more than 1 GB cards.

Additionally, make sure that the card is older style 'SD', not 'SD HC".

What is the largest size of SD card I can use in the Tungsten E2? Must be a palm card or can all factory card work?

The maximum card for your device size is 1 GB. You can use any card that is compatible SD. Some of the brands that many people use is a Kingston or Sandisk.

Click on the following link for the Web page of kb.palm.com for the article about the SD card formats.

  • card memory sd 1 GB on the Tungsten E2

Anyone know why my Dane-elec 1 GB sd memory card does not work on my e2 tunsgten? I tried soft and hard reset but the palm still does not recognize the card. The power lights when the Palm is off if I insert the card, but it is said that there is no card inserted. What should I do? Does it matter what brand sd card I use? Please let me know. Thank you

I figured out. It was really bad cards I had. They were tag 1 GB, but both were in fact of 2 GB, which does not work on a tungsten e2. A Kingston 1 GB and they work fine.

  • deficit of memory on the Tungsten E2

I used a tungsten for Epocrates medical software for several years with no problems. It recently fried and I bought Tungsten E2, but cannot successfully download Epocrates on it due to lack of memory. I deleted all the old entries in calendar, bare-boned the Epocrates download and use absolutely nothing else on this PDA. If I use a memory expansion card, the Epocrates transfers to it but it runs too slow to be of any use. Are passed by the library of knowledge several times. Did the hard reset 3 times. Epocrates will not help cos they say their program is very good for my PDA.

I am tech challenged and cannot understand this.

Please help and also, keep in mind that I do not understand the tech terminology.

  • problems with my Tungsten E2 Palm reading is not my memory card more

I have a Palm Tungsten E2 and I now have problems with him reading the memory cards and I don't understand why because it was very good.  I didn't give up, nothing happened.

I have a 1 GB memory card that I use.  It's a SD Impact memory card

When I insert card it makes no noise and if I try to format the card it says No card inserted.

I also tried a new card, it's a 2 GB Sandisk card (did not know at the time that it would use only a 1 GB card).

Hope that was enough information for you help out me.

My only other suggestion right now would be to try another 1gig or smaller card to determine if the card is at fault.

I had 100% success with SanDisk cards.

  • Amount of Tungsten E of memory left?

I looked at the headers when I use the computer and to the section on Plam preferences and I can't understand it.

How can I find out how much memory I have left on my palm, I use it on a Mac?

Hello and thank you for using the Palm forums.

Click the main button on your device. Then, click the top left where the time is displayed.

A dropdown list will appear. Click application, Info. Will develop a list with all the info of memory on your palm and if you have a memory card in your Palm, it will also show the amount of memory is used and how much is left. It will also specify the amount of memory each application takes over.

Click OK to exit from this screen.

I hope this has been helpful!

A Palm One Tungsten E2 has an internal memory in addition to the SD card in the device. I lost the battery and not recharges but the SD card is empty. I had a lot of addresses and phone numbers and wonder if they are still in the camera. If so can I buy a battery to replace the old and to recover the data?

Hello and welcome to the HP support community!

The E2 a NVRAM it's internal memory, so all that is there are always power loss!  :-)

You will need a battery to recover the data.  May want to search Chris Short, aka PalmDr. on eBay for repairs.

I just got Tungsten E2 of a cousin and I don't really know how to insert SIM in there? Knows not even supports SIM or not?

I had an option of memory card on top, but no details of sim card.

The problem is not with the card data or the sd Card, the problem is SIM Card(Mobile Company's card, how to insert it).

  • Palm Tungsten E2 alert fatal

I have a Tungsten E2, which just showed me a fatal alert message.  It reads: ' MemoryMgr.c, Line: 3732, NULL handle "and has a"Reset"button at the bottom.

The button does not respond when I press it.

What does that mean?  How can I fix this "fatal" without deleting all the information stored?  Or am I just S.O.L.?  There are addresses stored on this device.  I don't have a memory card for saving data.

    Help, please!

    Thank you in advance!

Hello and welcome to the HP support community!

Press and release the tiny "Reset" button in the back of the unit.   This is called a warm reboot and should not remove all data.

  • Tungsten E - lost information and is more synchronized to a computer

Help, please! The power on my Tungsten E came out and just, we got rid of the computer, that I've had synchronized to it to the... so I did not return to the top. Is it possible to retrieve the info on the palm? When I loaded, he just started upward as if it were a new palm and asked me to put in place the stylus. The info should be on the Palm somewhere?

When the Palm dies YOU, all the info is missing, unless you synchronize had it to a computer where you saved the info on a memory card. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

  • The price of a new Tungsten E2?

I currently own a Tungsten E2, but after years of ownership, I would like to have that new look again. Nobody knows what the price of a new works now?

In addition, are Texas, supposed to be a step towards the top of the E2 or for comparison, the same?

Because Palm abandoned their range of PDA, the price of a new unit went to heaven!

Your best bet is to use a bot "dealer" as bottomdollar.com or similar to find the best prices on the net.

For example, the low price for a whole new E2 on amazon.com is now $489,00!

(The price for those on amazon used was approximately $135,00)

The TX is a notch above E2.  Big screen, Wifi radio, more memory, faster processor, etc.

  • updates to Tungsten E2

It will not stop! I had to reset hard to make it work again! and the idea why this happened? also other updates for the part of the bone? 5.4.8 5.4.9?

    Help, please!

    WOW!  Hold the phone...

I went to check the link on the page of E2... It takes you to a download page that specifically lists the devices on the update of the SID must be used.  The E2 is NOT in the list!

    The system configuration required

    • Tungsten E, Tungsten T3, Zire 31, or Zire 72 handheld computer
    • 42 KB of free memory on handheld.

  • Installs NIV Study Bible Zondervan to device - he wants to map, do not know how-Tungsten E2

I just got the Zondervan NIV Study Bible software transferred to me of a previous user who said that he is not installed on any device.  They gave me the whole package and everything and I went to install it last night.  So this should be a legal transfer of the software under the usual EULA.  But he just had a quick start guide included.  I guess it could have been a real manual available for download on the Web site that is no more - just a blank page appears.

It's software, as well as several versions of the Bible, including the Bible to study NBS itself which is in 4 modules which are quite large 2-4 m.  He mentions that the versions of the Bible can be installed on the expansion card, but don't give any instructions how to do this.

When I started I had about 11 MB of free space on my TE2. I did the error I guess checked almost everything that needs to be installed.  And then there was a step that I noticed after I had clicked on next (or when it written in my tired brain) I've been doing the hot sync I think it was before clicking next.

In any case, it is said the software requires 500 k the other stuff can be loaded to the storage card or device RAM and rquire 21MB of free memory to free memory (it's on the package not the brief instructions).

He gave me some fatal errors, something about memory, probably because he was trying to install more than ago free memory in the device RAM.  So I had to do a soft reset several times.

I figure out how to transfer the Bible versions previously installed in the card and then deleted from the device.  Syncs more installed hot more things and then crashed again.

The 4 modules of the NIV study Bible now appear in the window where they can be demolished, but they do not appear in the window to copy the map.  I just checked again.

Also the camera itself is only showing 168 29.7 M k and I'm afraid that doesn't do everything I need to do hot sync with other applications previously installed large companies that are very interactive, which allows me to take an application on the palm, and then update our site of co to upload and download of data.

So any suggestions on how to get large applications of the power off and on the map?  Also I can't find where the stuff on my computer and I do not see it filed under hot sync options.

I mean there may be a way I could wipe it all (but I'm a little afraid that he might not reinstall because she doesn't have a license key) and start over just belong at the same time, maybe just do the NIV study Bible by itself first which is the largest and pass the 4 modules, but there are 3090,2676,2484 2918 k respectively.

So any suggestions would be appreciated.  I also checked the site Web of Zondervan and they don't show so, apparently, that this software is not supported over all Palm applications. I think I've seen a date of 2004.  But previous user said that she had used it on a tee.

    Palm v 4.5.2P

    WinXP sp2 with updates

Thanks for any help you can give!

    Thank you.

I had also tried other ways to get answers and got a more specific response on the right way to proceed.  Here is the link to the actual knowledge base article giving instructions specific since there are some files that must be on the Palm and some on the map, etc.

    http://support.Laridian.com/index.php?_m=Knowledgebase&_A=viewarticle&KBArticleID=380&ratingconfirm=1

I sent Zondervan to see if they might be able to direct me to a downloadable manual.  Him referred me to laridan.com which is now supported by their software.

I followed the instructions, taking account of certain things that were already where they should be, hot sync and it seems to work very well with 7.8 M of free space on my Palm which I trust is sufficient for my other very large applications.

    Thanks for your help!

  • Tungsten E no photos

    Office v4.1.4

I put some pictures in the window of the main memory, did a HotSync, the photos were marked with an "unknown error" and on the Tungsten E there is no picture on the screen icon.

This Tungsten E replaces my old M505.

All the other functions and data has been properly not synchronized everywhere... just no pictures

    Brute Force method.

I went to my other office where everything has worked, found in the PDB and PRC associated pictures, copied to the 'problem' Office, would be to HotSync and all is well (or almost).

Photos will not HotSync to main memory, but go very well on my expansion card, where is the Pic of will go.

    Appreciate the ideas

    Merry Christmas
