Tungsten E2 will not turn off!

I have not tested with the settings on my Tungsten, and now all of a sudden, it does not turn off. I don't know what happened. If disable it, it lights up again in exactly 10 seconds. Because it stays on all the time, when it's not charging, the battery dies after a few hours. I tried to reset, too. Any suggestions?

  • Tungsten E2 will not turn off without soft reset

I recently bought a Palm Tunsten E2 (by ebay, fully functional working condition) and it worked fine for a few hours affter, I got it. It's now at random intervals, do not turn off. I have to soft reset it before it don't let me stop, but it is on the property.

Also when I turn it on sometimes it acs like I was pressing a bunch of buttons when I'm not.

There is a possibility that it is a software problem.

If you did a hard reset and do not synchronize, you always observe the device and you get the same problem then it is a hardware problem already. But if not try this:

    1. perform a hard reset on the device. as mentioned, this erases all data on the handheld.

    2. If you're hotsynching to outlook, you can then hotsync directly to a new username.

    3. If you are Palm dekstop hotsynching then you need to change some settings. You must rename the backup fodler in the directory c:/program files/palm / (userfolder). Once found the backup folder, click right backup and click Rename. Rename it to backupold. Once done. close the open windows.

    4. change the settings of PIMs on desktop replaces handheld. Click the hotsync Manager. go to custom. the custom window title, make sure you are under the correct user name. Search the PIMs and change desktop replaces handheld.

Click ok and fact and then hotsync for the same username.

    hope this one works.

  • K010 ENVY: my laptop will not turn off

    Hello

When I shutdown/hibernate/standby/resume my laptop, it will die completely.

All programs will be closed (when stop or restart) and I think that OS will also close. But the laptop will not turn off. Power LIGHT and fan will stay on.

And when I try to Hibernate, everything is ok, but I have the same problem.

Whenever I have to turn it off by holding the power button, otherwise the battery will be discharged.

After manual turn off, when I turn it on again, everything works correctly:

-If hibernation: OS will continue to last situation.

-If start/stop: OS works normally without error or warning.

After sleep, OS works from the beginning. Because the data stored in RAM and will be deleted after power off.

Perhaps a portable automatic perevent equipment turned off. All the drivers are up to date.

Is there a parameter/software to check and fix my problem?

    Thank you

    Hello

    You are welcome

On some machines, the pilot for 11 series IMEI has been known to cause that kind of question of the judgment, so it may be worth trying an earlier version.

You can use the following method to install an earlier version of the driver IMEI.

Download driver IMEI on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp66001-66500/sp66228.exe

Disable your wireless card (should be f12 ).

Open your download folder and run the installer - it warns you that it is an earlier version, but simply continue.

    When finished, restart the laptop.

If the computer shuts down correctly, turn on your wireless adapter and use the utility on the following link to prevent Windows 10 to update automatically the driver IMEI again.

  • Windows 8 Visual AIDS will not turn off?

In Control Panel > accessibility > Ease of Access Center > use text or Visual alternatives for sounds.
I have unchecked everything, boxes, choose 'none' for "Visual alert has chosen" and it does not turn off.

Is anyway to fix this or reset the ease of access/panel seetings?

    Hi Dominique,.

You may experience this problem if the Windows system files are damaged. First try to restart the computer and check. Follow these methods and check if that helps:

Method 1: you cannot reset the accessibility settings, but you can try to perform the system restore and check if it helps. Follow these steps:

    1. Press the Windows key + R
    2. Type rstrui and then press ENTER.
    3. Click Next and choose the restore point, when your computer was working fine.

For more information, see: How to restore, refresh or reset your PC

System Restore warning: When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

Method 2: I suggest you run the tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker and check if it helps. The tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker scans missing or system corrupted files and repairs them.

Run the System File Checker to see if you have corrupted system files.

Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files

  • DesignJet 815 MFP - The Scanner lamp will not turn off

Before we had the controller and lamp replaced on our venerable 815 scanner card (i.e. before the last apparently got watered by a power surge), I seem to remember that the lamp will auto power off after a period of inactivity to prolong the life of the lamp.

A new has served without interruption since a few days now, which is not healthy for me.

I couldn't find anything in the settings, the manual online or on the auto layout PDF user guide... I just imagine that this was how things were at work? If it is SUPPOSED to shut down to protect the lamp, no one knows where this setting is hidden or how to turn it on?
