• Too low volume of the microphone

  I just bought a new Toshiba Satellite L500D, with Windows 7, and I'm having a problem with the microphone volume, in this sound recording is barely audible.

  I have a new dell inspiron 5050 w intel core 3 and windows 7 and internal microphone level is not high enough.  The level is set to 100 and up to 20 dB boost. Skype calls cannot be heard and sound tests have a very low volume.  I heard that maybe that's a problem with windows 7. Some of those who have upgraded to vista say they have the problem.  Driver update is grayed out. Thought of the back of computer.  Another solution?

  Hi, recently noticed that when I lower the volume level for music, games, video and other media, it also reduces my ringtone and notification volume level too!   now strange is my companion has MS xperia and I checked her yesterday and it had the same problem (jellybean) and because its volume level on the video, games etc is low, but max on ringtone, text lacks too calls and texts!   Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion Notebook 15-p027tx and the game its too low. Here is a document on the sounds troubleshooting.

  Please ensure that your edits were made on the laptop. In under his right click Device Manager and update driver. This is another step to try.

  There is a setting you may have missed.  On the "rocket", go to settings / system settings / Volume and make sure it is set on high.  This is the setting that the EU region is not available.
