Turn off computer account in Active Directory will still allow the workstation to log
I have a special scenario. A Windows 7 workstation was locking (pending of CTRL + ALT + DELETE) mode. Until I turned off the computer, the user account and the same account administrator, reset the password for this user and the workstation. My requirement is that the user cannot log on to the workstation again.
However, the user can connect to the workstation.
This parameter of register AD might lock the computer completely? or is there any GPO setting that could lock the computer?
Thanks in advance.
Pingala

Temporary disable user accounts in Active Directory
Hello
How COMPUTER administrators to connect the portal of identity (COMPUTER store) and temporary management may disable user account in Active Directory?
How can we give the portal higher priority than the target system where the user status comes (HR DB)?
You can allow users in the Administrators role COMPUTER have access to the portal by SSO or normal connection. In this regard to disabling AD account is, are there at - it no criterion based on who you are disabling the account in AD? Or you can just provide the button turn off and attach it to the "IsTemporaryDeactivated" column in person?
How can we give the portal higher priority than the target system where the user status comes (HR DB)?
-For that you can expand the table person from time to time updates the portal with an update say type 'W' for the web and do not leave any extract DB HR for this type of update.

ESX computer object in Active Directory - pwdLastSet and horodateurs lastLogon
Hello
I am trying to determine the regularity of changes of account password and logons to the ESX host when added to Active Directory.
The attributes Active Directory I am referring here are pwdLastSet and lastLogon timestamps.
The ESX host will regularly change the password and thus update the timestamp?
A process runs on the host to raise an event for the opening of the regular session to Active Directory and then update the lastLogon time stamp?
Would appreciate a point in the right direction for documentation.
See you soon,.
Jeremy
Hello
I think that this is governed by your GPO settings on how often computer accounts to change their passwords. If your business has not changed this setting (GPO_name\Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\Security Options - domain member: maximum age machine account password) then it should be 30 days by default. Your ESX host must comply with this setting.
If you wish to arrive here's how:
1 enable SSH on one of the hosts joined to the domain (vCenter-> Configuration-> Security Profile tab-> properties-> launch SSH (above services)).
2. type 'cat /etc/likewise/lsassd.conf' (WITHOUT ' ')
That must return a great performance, but you will need to scroll to the top and find where it says:
# Lifetime machine password expiration
# Default: 30 d
# Minimum: 1 h
# Maximum: 60 d
machine-word of past - life duration = 30 d
I hope this helps.

the mouse turns off screen by far on one side and not the other way
my mouse turns off the screen along tracks on the right side up to 6 inches of while on the left and up he hits the edge. at the bottom it will turn off screen but only a centimetre or two. I called support but they needed a control on my computer, I was wondering just if theres a way I can fix this without letting someone take on my system.
If another (additional) monitor has been activated, it will appear on the right side and the mouse can move in this area. It seems that this could be happening. Open the display by right-clicking on an empty space in the office, then choose NVIDIA Control Panel or open the ATI Catalyst Control Center, and then check if 2 screens are selected.
