turn off the photosmart print color 6525

I use a Mac with OS X V.10.9.4 and have a PhotoSmart 6525. I can't seem to disable printing color for all documents, even when I select ' print black & white ' or ' grayscale print ' in the reference of the printer. It prints colors perfectly, but sometimes I want to just grey quick docs. I tried the HP utility, but could not find the opportunity to let me choose whether to print in color or black & white. I still want the parser must be able to scan in color, but the option for printing.

Anyone know how to solve this apparently simple problem that me completely baffled?

Thank you!

Diana

@diananmig

AirPrint driver will allow you to choose the option to print in "black and white".

  • E 7520 HP All - In - One Printer: turn off the power to the wireless printer

    I have not printed for a few days I have not noticed if my Wi - Fi connection worked.

    I tried to print wireless today and got the error message that the printer was not connected to the internet.  I tried to go wrong, but it did not help.  I checked the connection to the wireless router and put the password in.  It has not yet recognized it.  I tried to disable printing for my smart phone (I think it is called), but the screen froze on the circle showing the progress.

    I tried to turn off the printer with the power button, but that no longer works.

    The Wi - Fi light just keeps blinking.

    How can I disable the printer may reset?  Or can you help get my printer to recognize my wireless again?

    Thank you.

    Hi Rhonda, there.

    I would suggest to unplug the power cord from the printer without turning it off with the switch, it will do a reset without getting rid of all the parameters. You simply leave unplugged for about 1-2 minutes to clear out any power.

    I recommend then reconnect, and doing as much as you can from the guide below:

    Printer keeps no connection Wi - Fi

    Good luck and let me know how it goes

  • LJ Pro300 color MFP M375nw. Power cycling, displays "49 service error - turn off the power, then press" on-screen.

    Bike constantly, the power display "49 service error - turn off the power, then press ' on-screen before stopping.
    For this printer only when it is connected to the network. Quite happy to sit quietly when printer NOT connected to the network.

    Unplug the network cable from the printer, check and clear all print queues (there may be a doc pdf sitting in a pc or server print queue)

    Once the queues have been dotted, restart the printer and reconnect the network cable.

    If this does not cure the problem, then the likely problem is a defective formatter Board.

    Good luck!

  • All lights on screen Flash - Message - Please turn off the printer and turn it back on

    I'm fighting a problem for a few weeks now with all the lights on the display starts flashing and the message please turn off the printer and turn it back on.   HP sent me a new printer that does the same thing.  The printer is an Officejet Pro 8600.  My computer is Windows 7.  I use a Belkin 750 db wireless router.  I talked to the service the customer several times with no results.  Did a hard reset of the printer, change the SSID of the router, because I think that one of my neighbors has the same router.  The thing most effective I did was change the channel to 6 which will operate for several hours until the display starts to Flash again.  Channels 1 & 11 starts blinking after a few minutes.  I know there are other people who have had the same problem.  I'm about to throw the thing in the trash.  My last printer brand X was set up the same way with no problems.  On the network, there are 2 iPads, smart TV, and an iPhone.  Need help please!

  • How can I turn off the scale for the pipette/color theme tool?

    I have a shortcut key (F13) for the eyedropper tool that speeds up the formatting for me.  With the latest version of InDesign, the pipette now shares the same space as color theme tool, when I press initially on F13 I get the theme instead of the eyedropper color tool.  Yes this happens only at first, but I don't want it to happen at all.  Is there a way I can turn off the toggle between these 2 tools so that F13 only active the eyedropper tool?

    No worries, I found this thread:

    Is there a way to make the ordinary Eyedropper tool FAILURE since they added a stupid color theme tool?

    Seems I'm not the only one having this problem, too bad it is not solution yet.

  • the photosmart printer 7510 energy mode

    I just got this printer and I like it a lot.  I've set up and was able to print from my macbook, the ipad and the iphone without a problem - it was a few days ago.  I just tried to will something of my macbook and couldn't because the printer was not connected to the wireless connection.  I think it has to do with the printer goes into power saving mode.  After that I turned power off, then on again, it worked.  Is there a way to stop the printer mode 'sleep'?  Thank you

    According to this Troubleshooting document, the "auto off" is disabled on printers that have been set up with a Wi - Fi connection.  This printer does not seem to have a plug-in Ethernet at the back or I would recommend using them and turn off the wireless radio.  This fact state that the printer will not turn off document if there is a memory card inserted in the printer card reader.

    You will not be able to access the built-in web server (type the IP address in a web browser) if the printer is off and won't wake up.  However, a static IP address would help remind the printer is a wireless.  Here's how to set a static IP address on your printer model:

    1. To correctly set a static IP address, type the IP address of your printer wireless in a web browser on a computer connected to the network, while the printer is on and in good condition.
    2. If you see a picture of your printer, you are officially in the built-in web server (EWS).
    3. For Photosmart printers, select the tab 'network '.
    4. Then you will see on your left an option for "Networking" and under that will be 'network (IP) address.
    5. Once all the boxes appear on the right, select the circle next to "manual".
    6. To eliminate the risk of user error, I select the box that says 'Suggest a manual IP address.'  This will change the IP address of the printer is nothing wrong to change the line from the top to your original numbers.  This way you are not wondering if you have correctly plugged into the rest of the numbers.
    7. For the preferred DNS server I would be typing a simple 8 in each box of (8.8.8.8)
    8. For the alternate DNS server type 8.8.4.4 and click on apply to process your request.
    9. I always turn the printer power off and on again once I completed this step to make sure that the IP address changes have been fixed indefinitely.

    It seems like a great disadvantage to replace a printer with another printer that has the same problem.  Currently, no firmware update is available on the Web site, but instructions on how to make an update of product on the printer are explained in this link.  It is a very comprehensive document, and I use it in many cases.  Your only other option would be to make sure that the printer is plugged directly in wall, just in case it is a power issue.

    If the steps above throughout this thread do not then contact technical support at 1-800-474-6836 on a replacement or a printer updated can always become a long and interminable experience.  I wish you the best with this. It doesn't seem to be anything wrong with my printer, so it is possible that a replacement product will not have this problem.

    Thank you

    Hello @Kathieh3,

    The steps I have mentioned must be done on the printer screen, not on the computer.

    On the printer screen, press 'Fax'-'settings'-'fax advanced settings'. Once you scroll through the menu options, you will find the "ringing" or "ring volume" option. Select, then reduce the volume.

    Let me know if that helps!

  • OfficeJet L7780 how can I turn off the ringer?

    I want to turn off the ringer (phone ringing sound) on my OfficeJet L7780. I tried to work in the printer menus. I searched everywhere, including the manual and have not found an answer. Please help if you can.

    I only use the OfficeJet for outgoing faxes, I just need to hear the dial or connect tones, so if I turn those off to turn off the ringer, it's okay. Thanks in advance for your help, Ed

  • Cannot turn off the issue of jam and paper cartridge (both at the same time)

    I have a HP Officejet 8600, running on a wireless home network.  The printer will not work.  We get two messages. 1. Introduction to jam, and I'm going through all the steps to clear paper, including the search for pieces of paper, as well as any leaves.  I found no paper, whole or in part anywhere in the printer.  2. at this point, I get a message that I have a problem with a printer (of ink, installed correctly, etc.) cartridge.  Simply replace us all cartridges, so I know that we are not out of ink.  However, when I opened the door to the area of printer cartridge, the cartridge does not move where I can check it out.  There's just right.  So I'm "stuck".  I don't know how to get the cartridge door to roll over so I can check!  I turned off the computer several times and tried to reset things, but nothing seems to work.  Any suggestions?

    Followed - I turned off the printer.  Then opened the cartridge and reaches into the printer access door.  Without moving the cartridge door, I pressed each cartridge to make sure it was placed correctly.  Then, shut the door and back running the printer.  The printer seems to start correctly.  I then opened the door, the door-cartridge moved where I could access them normally.  I double checked that each cartridge is installed and closed the door.

    At this point, everything seems to work properly.

  • How to turn in lots on / turn off the layers in a large group of files

    I lifted this code to another debate that is supposed to say it works, but it doesn't.

    I get the error message: object does not support the method or property 'length '.

    I looked at other scripts to batch process this line of code seems to be OK.

    I know it's a very simple script and that the Tower on / turn off the part of the layer of the script works perfectly well (on individuall pages), but for some reason I can't get this lot of process.

    I have a set of several version of files with layers like 'from' for the Germany, "us" for the United States, etc. that I need lots open until I can print.

    Here's what I have:

    myFolder var is Folder.selectDialog ("Select folder Indesign");.

    var myIndsnFiles = myFolder.getFiles ("*.indd");

    for (k = 0; k < myIndsnFiles.length; k ++)

    {

    var myIndsnFiles = app.open (myIndsnFiles [k]);

    var myIndsnFiles = app.documents [0];

    var answersLayer = myIndsnFiles.layers.item ("us");

    answersLayer.visible = false;

    app.activeDocument.close (SaveOptions.yes);

    }

    Can you correct/explain what I am doing wrong?

    I had the Sergey Version to work. See below. It is very different from my original. I understood why my original wasn't, but could not know how to solve this problem. I tried to insert Laubender code in it, but I got the same error as above "object does not support the property or method 'length.

    I made a few adjustments so that the script turns off all the layers that need to be turned off and then turns on the layer I need.

    Everything works perfectly except that I wonder if there is a way I can disable all warnings, such as missing links, so that it treats the whole batch without a break. Maybe that's what Laubender spoke.

    myFolder var is Folder.selectDialog ("Select folder Indesign");.

    If (myFolder! = null)

    {

    var myIndsnFiles = myFolder.getFiles ("*.indd");

    for (var k = myIndsnFiles.length - 1; k > = 0; k-)

    {

    Try

    {

    myDoc var = app.open (myIndsnFiles [k]);

    Marquetry var = myDoc.layers.item ('in');

    inLayer.visible = false;

    var itLayer = myDoc.layers.item ('it');

    itLayer.visible = false;

    deLayer var = myDoc.layers.item("de");

    deLayer.visible = false;

    var ukLayer = myDoc.layers.item ('uk');

    ukLayer.visible = false;

    var usLayer = myDoc.layers.item ("us");

    usLayer.visible = false;

    var intLayer = myDoc.layers.item ("INT");

  • Menu error when turn off the DVD (CS4)

    Hello Adobe community

    I recently created a DVD in Adobe Encore CS4. It has two menus. The menu title has two buttons: Play driver (which connects to a minute 25 TV pilot) and Extras (which connects to a root menu). The menu root contains three music videos (which all the link to the main menu) and a main menu button (which has links from the menu title). I burned the Encore DVD and it played on my DVD player at home. Everything on the DVD works great (menus and videos). However, when I am on the title menu, and I turned off the DVD drive and turn it back on (with the disk still inside) something strange is happening. The menu suddenly compressed horizontally, and the buttons no longer work. Play, up, down, enter, none of the remote controls work more. The only way I can get the DVD works again is to insert a DVD completely different summer and then insert again my DVD. Then he is back to normal.

    I included two photos to illustrate what is happening.

    The DVD is in 16:9 mode, however the TV I watch on 4:3.

    IT IS WHAT THE MENU TITLE LOOKS LIKE WHEN I INSERT FIRST THE DVD: ALL THE WORK OF BUTTONS/LINKS/NAVIGATION... EVERYTHING IS GOOD.

    menu.JPG

    WHEN YOU TURN ON THE DVD MARKET AGAIN (AT THIS POINT), THE MENU BECOMES SQUASHED HORIZONTALLY. DISAPPEARS FROM THE BOXING OF THE LETTER UP AND DOWN, AND NOW NONE OF THE BUTTONS.

    menu-squashed.JPG

    Interestingly, when I go to the menu root (by clicking the Options button) and turn on the DVD player and turn on, the main menu is not affected, and all the buttons still work. The menu root is almost identical in design in the menu title, because it has exactly the same video in the background and audio playback on top. However, this problem occurs only in the menu title. Also, if I turn the DVD player working again while in the middle of watching one of the videos on the DVD, it still works very well. This problem occurs only in the menu title.

    The video in the menu title (and the menu root) is linked dynamically to Premiere CS4.

    Here is a picture of the organizational structure of the dvd:

    The DVD player is a Tevion AC-DVD51 (Jpeg/Mpeg4 Player)

    I have not included specifications on individual video files on the DVD, because they all work perfectly. It's just the menu title that plays up.

    If you want to get the list of additional parameters. Let me know.

    I really want to solve this problem, because I will be the sale of the DVD and I don't want this glitch happening on something, people have paid for.

    Thanks a lot for your time!
