Twitch.TV HTML5 player causing the video driver crash

Current video card is Radeon HD7800. This problem only appears when using Firefox to watch videos on the site of twitch.tv using the new HTML5 player. At the beginning all right, but there is gradual corruption of the firefox window. Text disappears, corrupt graphics and finally the leak of graphics corruption on windows or Aero, office causing a crash video driver and the restoration. This only happens with the jerk HTML5 player. All other sites work fine. The player also works very well in other browsers. IE9 and chrome have been tested. Firefox is the most recent version, and so are the video drivers.

I've had previous issues with suffers from a strange, unexplained, graphical corruption that have been patched out in new versions of firefox. It is the first instance when Firefox caused a crash of the complete video driver.

I get a Flash player on the half dozen I checked. How do you switch HTML5?

  • The video driver crash, gpu sniffer hogs cpu on surface pro 2

I use PS CC on my pro 2 Surface - when PS is started I get a system message depending on whether the video driver broke down.

This isn't a problem, CC PS still works.

The problem is the gpu task sniffer, that keeps running and hogging a single processor, engraving by far my battery.

I know that I probably need a new video driver, but there is none available. So, how can I disable the sniffer of gpu for now? It's annoying to have to kill the process after every start of the PS.

    Thank you Sam

This isn't one I thought, but look at this:

Account required to workaround is to disable the sniffer of gpu until the fix is issued.

    1. in the folder Photoshop CC, Ctrl-click on Adobe Photoshop CC.app

    2. choose "Show Package Contents" from the context menu.

    3. open the contents > MacOS folder, search for "sniffer".

    4. keep that file, but to rename it by placing a tilde from sniffer: ~ sniff

    5. close the finder and PS CC should start normally.

I demoted an Inspiron 15 3520 of Windows 8 for Windows 7, but every time I install the video driver recommended, from either windows update or in the Dell drivers section, I get a blue screen on startup. Roll back the windows standard VGA driver resolves the problem.

Is there one another driver I can try? (I already run Dell Diagnostics, passing everything ok)

  • Tecra S3 treat 99% because of the video driver

I have a tecra S3, all with the latest drivers provided by Toshiba.
All browsing some website/tool (a lot of controls active-X in there) the IE process (Firefix also) going to 99%, if the process is killed, the "explorer.exe" process is at 99% and so on...

My best guess is that the video driver causes corruption in the RAM of the S3.
Given that I have no problem when I disable hardware acceleration.

This isn't a stand alone situation, everyone at work with the same model, is having the same problem...

Someone at - it an idea? Or should I just wait a new driver of Toshiba? And away from hardware acceleration at the moment?

    Hello

I'm 100% sure that's not problem of graphics card or display driver. What antivirus do you use?

As far as I know some applications of spyware or virus scanner block activeX. Check please the virus scanner settings.

  • My Satellite P300 forget sometimes load the video driver

My laptop (Satellite P300) sometimes "forget" to start to load the videodriver.
If the resolution is by default in the Windows startup screen.
No matter what version of Windows I have, all the drivers are up to date.

When I restart for the most part, the problem is solved...

To be honest I never heard of something like that. in recent years, my brother has P300. In the beginning he used with original Vista and 2 years its P300 works with Win7. No problem at all.

I don't know which OS you are using now, but have you tried reinstalling the video driver (display)?
I also hope that you are using driver on Toshiba download page.

What should I do? On this Web site, you have only old version.

Yes you are right. Toshiba only offers older drivers. These drivers are tested and are protected from the GPU. This driver will not force the GPU to run on maximum performance to avoid overheating or damage GPU.

Can you please post the link for driver download page?

    Hey cfravel,

All major issues! Sorry to hear that you use in the blue screens, but you did a good job of troubleshooting. I'll answer the questions in the order that you asked them.

1 and 2.  Here is a link to the Microsoft Forumwhere there was a similar question. It looks like uninstalling and hiding the implementation update will correct the problem. To uninstall an update,

    • Click Start
    • Program 'type '.
    • Click on programs and features
    • Click View Installed Updates (left)
    • Search for KB2670838.
    • Select this option and click on uninstall.

    To hide the update,

    • Click Start
    • Type "update".
    • Click on Windows Update
    • Click Find updates
    • Click "# important updates available"
    • Search for KB2670838
    • Right-click on it and click on hide (you can always restore hidden updates in the future if you want by clicking on "restore hidden updates" from the main screen of Windows Update.

    3. here is the correct driver for your laptop HP Special Page. I think you're probably already doing it correctly, but just in case. How many times have you tried this driver? Try a couple of times.

3B. Yes you could certainly try the next previous driver.

3 c. the drivers coming from Intel or ATI are almost the same driver in most cases. We invite you to try them because they can always be uninstalled. Just, they are not guaranteed to work properly for your specific model.

    4. There are two versions of the driver for your ATI video chip. These and all future versions will still be available on your driver page. Click on the link under the latest driver that says "available versions" for a complete list of all the versions that are never released.

    5. to reinstall the driver of origin or any other original software that is preinstalled on your laptop, you can use HP Recovery Manager.

    • Click Start
    • Type "HP recovery".
    • Click HP Recovery Manager
    • Click re - install the drivers and software.
    • Scroll through the list and select drivers or software to install. These drivers will still be available on your page of driver as well.

6 here is a link on how to reinstall Windows from the recovery partition. In the links in blue at the top, click on "Recovering from the start (in the system startup) screen". This is a very simple process.

Please let me know if you have any questions or if these suggestions helped (it could help others with similar issues). I'll keep an eye out for your answer!

I'm unable to download the video driver for an Aspire 7540, because the download is infected. Who can be contacted to alert their site Acer seems to have infected files? I checked for a link to the webmaster but could not find one.

    Hi Simon,.

The ATI for the Aspire 7540 driver was released over 6 years ago and has been downloaded tens of thousands of times. I downloaded and tested the file on our network of company without problem. I think that you can experience a false positive if your anti-virus is indicating that he has a problem.

  • HP 15-af131dx: Radeon settings do not work after having back the video driver

I can't access Radeon settings after I've updated my video driver and then restored to the previous version. When I try to open it, I get this message:

I currently use the 15.201.1101.0 driver version. How can I return Readon settings?

    HPlaptop51

That's exactly why I have driver updates disabled in the Win10 - so it won't 'break' my PC with updates.  I had to disable in Win10, but I also had to disable it in the AMD Edition Crimson tool - because he was also trying to force updates on me.

The version you mentioned is the correct version for your PC and Win10.

So, the first thing I would do is go to this page and download the AMD driver: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-15-af100-Notebook-PC-series/8543365/model/8961406

Copy this driver on a USB key, so you can add it later.

So, what I would say is that you download and run this tool to permanently delete all traces of the AMD driver: AMD own Uninstall Utility

When this is done, try reinstalling the driver AMD of the file on the USB key.  It should work fine, this time.

Then block the updates of pilot in Win10: how stop Windows 10 to update automatically the device drivers - windows Windows 10-10

    Good luck
