  Dell U3014 comes with HDMI output and you should be able to connect with the PS3 to play games. However, you will need to connect external speakers to "Audio output" to get the sound output as there are no internal speakers in U3014. The monitor is capable of resolutions up to 2560 x 1600 and should be able to play Blu - ray videos without any hassles.
