Two monitors with computer desktop Slimline?

Hello

I want to set up two monitors with my HP Slimline.  Is this possible?  I know I have to change the graphics card to accommodate two cords.

Slimline s5310f

64 bit

NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430

LG E2360V LED monitor

Hello

You have options:

1. install a video card that supports two monitors. -> the best performance option

2. use a video USB adapter/converter.   -> What are your needs of video connection? VGA, DVI orHDMI

3. use a USB attachable monitor such as this AOC 16 "monitor.

Option #1.

Look here in HP Partsurfer for video cards that are used in the new Slimline models with a 220 Watt power supply.  These cards have been made specifically for the HP Slimline PC with a 220 watt power supply.

  • Desktop HP Pavilion 550-A17C: two monitors with desktop HP Pavilion 550-A17C? (Graphics, AMD Radeon R5)

Hello. My computer is a HP Pavilion Desktop 550 - A17C with AMD Radeon R5 (integrated) graphics card. Can he take charge of two monitors? I did everything I can think of, including searching the Internet for a number of hours for solutions. For the life of me I can't get the computer to detect the second monitor, when I have two connected monitors.

I connect the main monitor with a VGA cable and the second with a DVI cable. The computer only has a VGA connector and a DVI connector. There is no HDMI port (serioulsly and I bought this computer as three months previously, as a refurb...) (Lol).

What I want to do, is extend the display. My hardware is unable to conduct two screens? A USB video adapter solve the problem?

    Thank you

    @AFL2016, welcome to the forum.

First of all, make sure that you use a DVI - D connector:

  • Two monitors on hp pavilion slimline s3700y pc desktop?

I have a hp pavilion slimline s3700y desktop pc. is it possible that it can support two monitors?

Here are the specifications of your desktop HP Pavilion Slimline s3700y. According to the specifications, the power plant is only valued at 160 watts, and there is no card graphics PCIe x 16 on the market which help the power supply to your computer.

Depending on what you plan on both monitors, there may be several different options.

    (1) Day trading, word documents, spreadsheets and other... buy an adapter USB-to-video as the EVGA UV plus + UV19 or UV39.

    (2) game... not recommended

    (3) source (expensive) a bigger power supply (220 watts) and new graphics card for HP

    (4) source, a power more than athenapower.com (up to 350-400 watts) and a PCIe x 16 graphics card 'low - profile' another source.

  • 230 X: the display on two monitors with lid closed?

    My current setup:

    • ThinkPad x 230
    • Docking station series 3 ban
    • EVGA UV Plus + 39 vga box to allow setting up dual monitor

I have the following problem, I don't know if they are related:

    First question:

    • When I close the lid on my laptop, it stops. I expect it would display Desktop on my two monitors.

    Second question:

If I'm away from my computer, my screen become white.

    • I tried pressing the keys on my keyboard to wake up my system [does not]
    • I tried to open the lid: computer laptop screen is blank
    • So I have to shut down my computer, open the cover of the screen, and then close the lid and they press the button on my docking station to display Desktop to my two monitors?

Do you know what causes this problem?

    1. disable stop option for "lid closed" settings within the app Lenovo Power Manager (Group of event parameters).
2 could you be more clear. Please? Your laptop is going to sleep several minutes later (5? 15? same?) we let him? And you can not wake him normally?

I'm considering buying a Qosmio X 505 - Q890, but it must support two monitors.

Is this possible with this machine? I guess if it's possible, it should be an HDMI and a VGA.

    Thank you.

As far as I know that there is no support for dual monitors. You can only use a port. Connected TV/monitor will be detected automatically.

  • Two monitors with a view 4.0 using PCoIP on ESX 3.5 hosts (4 VM version)

You can use multiple monitors View 4 with PCoIP, when it is running on the virtual machines that are on ESX 3.5 (vCenter 4 If) with virtual machines that are running on the virtual machine hardware 4?  We have an environment where we cannot get two monitors to work (installation is correct in the options view pool, VMX file and video memory), although it works 'out of the box' elsewhere.  the main difference is the ESX (and hardware VM) versions.   Any thoughts?

  • How to set up two monitors with screen LCD and HDTV on computer that is running Windows 7

Issues of identity and position monitor

I use a LCD and an HD TV on my computer. I have HDTV mounted to my left on the wall in my room and the LCD is on my desk in front of me. I have my monitor set as my main screen and HDTV as secondary. Windows identifies the HDTV as monitor 1 and my screen LCD 2. After starting the computer they work very well as they should. My problem is during the boot process. When the computer starts, it displays only the boot screen/POST on monitor 1 (HDTV) but not my main screen #2 (LCD). This is a problem when I don't have my HDTV now, I don't see the MESSAGE options. I don't want to always have my HDTV and crane my neck every time I need to change the BIOS settings or use the MESSAGE options. Is there any solution for this?

    Hi Darth Polizei,

I hope that's not redundant but did you try to set your monitor 19 "as the main display?

    1. In the screen resolution window, you click the icon of the monitor that represents the secondary monitor.
    2. You click to select the "Make my main screen" check box, and then click OK.
    3. You log out of the computer.
    4. You log on to the computer.

  • s3710t computer desktop slimline HD and RAM upgrade

I bought desktop s3710t with Vists BONE several years ago and it works very well with no error message.

I did not have the large files that would come in the future I am looking to upgrade my HD.  The specifications on the HP.com site lists the 1 TB 7200 RPM SATA 3 G (3.0 Gb/s) as the max I could have ordered.

    1. Who is in fact a limit or simply everything what has been proposed when I bought the computer?
    2. I am considering a 3.5 inches 1 or 1.5 TB 7200 RPM, SATA 6 Gb/s, 64 MB Cache drive.  Is there a reason any that this drive does not work? i.e. 3 Gbit/s faster and with 64 MB of Cache?

    I also bought the option/3 GB RAM that is configured as (1 x 2 GB, 1 x 1 GB) DDR2 PC2-6400.

    1. If I replace the key 1 GB with a 2 GB key will there be a reasonable increase in performance?
    2. Is the 4 GB limit or could I go on to say 8 GB? Which will bring a significant improvement?

I use the computer mainly for word processing, e-mail and photo retouching.

Please see cannot restore the PC after replacing the hard drive with a disk (Windows 7 and Vista) AF for general information about problems using discs of HP recovery with a disc of AF.

Please see Advanced identification of a hard drive to Format to aid in the identification of a hard drive of the AF (Advanced Format).

Sorry, but there are too many discs on the market to recommend an and since 2010, most hard drives have been AF readers.

  • S5610y: S5610y computer desktop Slimline won't start

I turned off the computer, and I tried to turn it back on after a few hours. It will not start. I pressed and pressed the power button for a few long seconds and tried again. No luck. The output is very good, and therefore the power cable. I noticed that there is a green light on the back of the power supply, and when I press the power button to turn on the computer, the green light turns off. It turns out if I remove the cable at the back of the power supply and reconnected, but disappears again when I press the power button to start the computer.

This can be a symptom of a bad diet? Thanks in advance for the answers.

    Hi there @Uncle_Zia

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I understand you have problems, turn on/off your computer. I'm happy to help you.

In response to your question, it certainly could be a power supply problem, or possibly a component internal. I would recommend that you look at the following page: desktop HP - troubleshooting the power supply problems
