Type alignment

When you line up for an object type in Illustrator he founded the text position on something like the line of base, attack or something other than the real height and width of the text. The only way I found to Center a form of the text accurately is to convert the type of curves. Then the type loses the reference of the baseline (or some Illustrator is align text) and the position is correct. For this project, I like to keep the type as the type for future changes.

From now the work around, I'm doing is to convert the type of curves... (see below) I then align the converted type (color cyan) in the copy of the form (orange rectangle) the type of color cyan converted to the Clipboard, undo 4 times to return the dough to (white) type in place (cyan - Ctrl + F the converted type cyan to get the correct position) then select the (white) type and push it into place so it aligns with the converted text color cyan (which is in the correct position)

Is there a specific way to align type to an object without convert it to curves and be used as a position reference?

Thanks guys -.

Yes, but the technique is a few steps.

  1. Select your type of
  2. Effect > path > describe the object
  3. Align the Palette Flyout turn on preview limits use
  4. Select your items and align

Top is before, is after

Disable use Preview limits when done as most people prefer off that you will see your race weight is added to your width and height in the transform palette among others.

  • Type alignment between two text boxes.

    Hello.

I have a business card, needs to have two text blocks, in separate text boxes, align vertically.

To make a long story short. I use InDesign to create a business card for "PageFlex" be used on "Four51. If the text variables change. Sometimes all three designations will be used, I.e., cell phone, fax. Other times only the telephone and/or fax numbers is used.

The customer wants that the block of text on the left to align vertically, ALWAYS with the right hand of the block of text to the top line. Even if the right text block will change. E.g. telephone, Fax and laptop still will NOT be used. It may be that a single employee and the left text frame must adapt to align at the top. Either upwards or downwards to match the alignment of the right hand block.

Here you can see two text blocks will align at the top. The right text block is "aligned to the bottom" in "vertical Justification".

Here, you see what happens when a line of text is deleted. I want that the block of text on the left to lower with the right text block so that they remain aligned.

Again, here's a deleted row. I would like once again, the left block of type lower with the right text block.

If it is not possible, it's ok. I'm not a guru type. It is not in my knowledge of InDesign. I tried with the text "linked" and "unrelated". I can't make it work.

Thanks in advance for any help.

All you need to do is place the left as an anchored object frame on the top line of the right frame (before the word name).

The left frame with then up and down with the top line.

  • Alignment issue

I keep trying to align objects and when I type line up the goes to the edge of the page. It aligns, but it goes to the top of the page if I align the top and right of the page when I type align. There must be a wrong preference, but I can't.

    Thank you

In the Align Panel, there is a field marked "Align in ' allows you to choose the page, margins, or the selected objects.

  • ENVY 4512: 4512 ENVY too high HP printing

    Hello.

I'm having a problem with my printer. For some reason any boring, my ENVY 4512 printer now prints more than usual. Example: printing a document every day with border and then I print the Word document. A few seconds later... the draw comes out with the top border, cut and a large blank space at the bottom below the border. I've checked everything. Paper size, paper type, aligned to the printer, rebooted the printer... probably I could do. A printing test, again and nothing at all has changed.

    More detailed specifications:

    • 6th generation of Intel Core i7 processor
    • WiFi to printer
    • Printer is right next to my computer
    • Very good Internet connection
    • Normal power
    • Word of 2016
    • Stationery
    • Authentic HP ink

Please come back to me @Nethersuperstar.

Did you try the driver generic and have the same result?

It may be a problem with user accounts, please try the following to see if it will be useful.

From the Control Panel, go to user accounts, change account settings, then drag the slider down to never notify, and then restart the computer and try to print the new Word again.

    Thank you!

  • Problem space leader & vertical

    And here's one for you.

I have a 77 page document that I'm working on. Let's say you have two text blocks then between them, exactly the same thing, positioned vertically. They are lined up as two columns.

Family of fonts, point size and the interlineations are the same in the two blocks of text. Exactly the same thing! The text styles and paragraph are in use, and a paragraph style is a bulleted list. The ball is a Zapf Dingbat.

However, I have the time harder to get the text in both columns of the line up vertically. I can't figure out why I'm fighting to adjust spacing between each line, and that doesn't work very well.

I don't see why these two text blocks, with the same characteristics of exact type, align. Hard returns are used between each line.

What Miss me?  I can create a new document with the same layout (two blocks of text) and I can get the text to the line perfectly vertical.

    Any suggestions?

Screenshots with nonprinting characters would be useful.

My first reaction is one of your styles to paragraph has space before or after you apply the workspace.

  • Punctuation (savvy right)

Can not get hooked to work on Mac CS5 right punctuation text aligned. I've done both

Is this all just not works on stalled right?

I manually fixed that by adding a space and the kerning, but I was wondering if I'm missing something

    Screen Shot 2013-10-24 at 11.14.17 AM.png

I switch the no character without success on it. Most of the people do not use that, but saw no break interefering with suspension punctuation on text copied from a pdf file in the past.

They are objects of type point. Have you tried instead of text in the box?

Also, do you think that the Roman hanging punctuation has already worked with objects of type point?

  • Novels

I noticed that there is a type of innovative project and had all kinds of excited.  Then I got a slap in the face.  This program bites frankly the big one when it comes to novel-writing.  For example, when I import a file that was once a story, he turns into a great big answer with no points column.  Gross.  Another example, when I want to type a story that the program requires me to type aligned right and when I adjust it resets on a hard return.  Not so much easier in the novel written there.

If you do not be friendly with new writers, kill this type of project file.  If you want to be friendly and make the program handles new projects differently, that I hope, then I'll use this program all the time.  I like that it allows a nice organization of scripts and the bios.  I like the features on / off and the sharing.  When a feature synopsis or cards will be available that works very well with the mentality of my writing.  I'm be excited for the Bookmarks feature.  Marking would be extreemly useful for me.  Overall, I LIKE THIS PROGRAM if I can use it to write my novels.

    Thank you

    Jason

The new project dialogue box has been one of the work-in-progress that was made public. This will be reorganized in our next generation.

We will allow users to create free form documents (like the character bios, lines of log, summary, etc.) which will not force the script as in shape for new writers.

Then, you should be able to use history for writing novels.

  • [JDev12c, ADF] Perfectly align "Input Text" (no label) of different types in gridRow/cell

    Hallo,

I have a panelGridLayout with 2 columns and lines.

In the second column, I create - by dragging and dropping the of a VO Istance - for each line an ADF input without label text.

At design time, and also when running the fields in the second column are aligned on the left but the fields whose type is "Date" or "BigDecimal" starts some pixel after the fields whose type is "String".

    2nd column
    I_____________| (String)
    I_____________| (String)
    I_____________| (BigDecimal)
    I_____________| (String)
    I_____________| (Date)

I tried, but I couldn't not perfectly align all the fields to the left. GridRows and GridCell have the same properties. I guess it depends on the type of the field...

    You kindly help me?

  • How to change type popup/list dropdown alignment?

With my Lenovo X 1 carbon preinstalled image, I noticed a strange behaviour of my popups to right-click on the desktop and some drop-down menus of the menus.

They are aligned to the left, not the right.

I.e. I right click on the dektop, my cursor is is on the upper right, not by the top-left corner.

I find it very annoying as all applications that do not use the windows setting the fact e reverse. In addition, subitems open to the left.

Is there a way to return to normal. I can't find the "switch".

My Tablet has been right-handed. But the regedit fix helped if everyone knows this.

    EA,

You can see how you like paragraph > justify full lines instead of align left.

  • align the cells with shared values

    3.6.1 the numbers

I would like to compare two columns and align the cells, if they are equal. Ideally, I would like to include the adjacent cells in the second column in the alignment.

    Example:

Run the formula (if possible) to format the following text:

    As follows:

    Hi cnickflight,

Easy to do by transferring the data to another table.

Table 1 contains the original data. I reduced the names of fruits to three letter codes to reduce type them, but this does not change the process.

Column A of table 2 contains a formula that copies the existing data in column A of table 1 and insert null strings when there is no data in the table 1.

The formula is entered in cell A2 and filled down.

    Table 2::A2: = IF (ROW () −1 > COUNTA (table 1::A),"', SHIFT (table 1::$A$1,ROW()−1,0))))

Fill until the end of the column.

Columns B and C contain a VLOOKUP formula. The formula is the same in the two columns, with the exception of the number indicating which column of the table, the returned value must come. The version of 'testing' of the formula in B2 is shown. When filled to the bottom, this formula should copy the names of fruits where they are both on the table 1, in the line that they appear in column A, and display a triangle of error in the lines where there is no name in column B to the one in the column (and in the rows where column A is empty). The error message for each of them should be "VLOOKUP couldn't find the requested value."

    Table 2::B2 (trial version): = VLOOKUP ($A, table 1: $b$ C, 1, FALSE)

(FALSE appears in the formula as 'exact match' editor)

If the behavior is as described, add IFERROR before VLOOKUP, and , "") after the closing parenthesis to match the 'final version'. " (See "why two versions? below.)

    2::B2 (final version) of the table: SIERREUR = (VLOOKUP ($A, table 1: $b$ C,1, FALSE),' ')

    2::C2 (final version) of the table: SIERREUR = (VLOOKUP ($A, table 1: $b$ C,2, FALSE),' ')

Fill both until the end of their respective columns. Results should now be as shown above.

    Note: Why two versions?

Function SIERREUR is ideal for use as a trap for the error, but it acts on all errors, not only the one you plan to trap. Best practice is to add to this trap only if you are sure that the formula generates other error messages that awaits you and using in this case we know VLOOKUP, who has been charged with finding an "exact match" will throw an error when it does. Function SIERREUR catches this error and puts a string anywhere in the cell, making it appear empty.

    Kind regards

    Barry

  • How can I "automate" a question of a single line and response? the answer starts with the right margin and ending on the right margin as it is typed. The sequence would be: 1 type question 2. Tab at the right margin. 3 type the answer ending on the margin

Question: How can I easily format a series of "a line of questions / answers" (questions and answers on the same line.)

How to easily create a long series of a single line of questions and answers to the question aligning it on the left and the end of the response by aligning right?

    For example

!. Type the short question on the left margin.

    2. tab at the right margin.

    3. type the answer with the end of the answer on the right margin.

Insert a right tab at the right margin.

  • Alignment of cells WPF graphics intensity

I'm used to seeing graphs like this (found on internet)... where the first cell is the same size as the others:

But in my case I have this... cells where data for some aligned reason with numbering Center brands.  As a result, the edge squares are only half of the other places (red squares show this issue).  Is this a setting any?  It's a simple table 6 x 6.  Thank you!

The short answer is that you can specify an AxisDouble for the HorizontalAxis and VerticalAxis of your graph of the current see the Visual range complete the data :

The longer answer is that intensity WPF chart displays values of data centered around their point of origin. This improves the interaction with other components, such as cursors and annotations. Unfortunately, even if we have improved the use of double axes in charts able Studio 2015, we left the default axis of the graph of the intensity as type int (I created a task to fix this for the next version).

  • HP F2480 - aligning not printing labels

    Hello

my HP F2480 is a great little Office all in one, but I've never been able to print labels in word (office 2007). There seems to be a problem with the alignment and the tags do not match the model selected in word. It is strange, however, that sometimes when I come to print on a normal A4 sheet it works fine. So I guess that it may be the different thickness of the sheet of labels.

In any case if someone has had this problem or could help me that would be great. ~

    see you soon,

    Jeremy

HI - you might try defining the type of automatic paper of plain paper in the printer driver, printing of labels.  If it works fine on plain paper, it might have to do with the automatic paper sensor.

    Hope that helps

  • EPrint labels do not align

I'm trying to print labels via ePrint.  The labels have been created with Word, using a standard label Avery format (8160) and print on a HP Envy 4500.  The process works well, except that the alignment is incorrect.  Locally, the labels print correctly, but thanks to ePrint, they "creep" - that is, each slide up slightly so that the bottom on the page label is partially on the last 2nd label printing.  Any suggestions about what I might hurt or what I could fix would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Hello jjgross,

I see you are having problems printing labels via ePrint. This happens because the labels are not a type of file to support printing via ePrint. To display the supported file types, click here: HP ePrint Print Job does not Print.
