Typos, letters ignored as I tye

I took the New York computer to Geek Squad.  The problem does not occur in the store, but as soon as I got home, the same problem arises.

If you are using a desktop computer, try another keyboard.

See you soon. Mick Murphy - Microsoft partner

    Hello

    Thank you for the shipping of the issue with the update of windows.

    The question appears with the the windows update services.

    Enable windows update services of the services.msc and try to update that should fix the problem.

    That should solve the problem, if the problem persists I advise you to run the following commands at the command prompt.

    regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\wucltux.dll
    regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\wuaueng.dll
    regsvr32 wups2.dll
    regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\wuapi.dll
    regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\wudriver.dll
    regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\wups.dll
    regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\wuwebv.dll

    One way to do this is start-> cmd to open a shell.  You might want to right-click on the search result cmd.exe and select run as administrator, never know.  Then from there, type these lines in one at a time.  Some people may raise errors, others will complete report.  Make sure that the errors are not typos and ignore all others.

  • I'm trying to re - install my for windows vista 32 bit synaptics pointing device, but my device manager does not display any device and keeps bring up the keyboard to the screen as how to fix this?

    I tried to install a driver for it but I find only 64 and 86 bit drivers. Sometimes my keyboard is not typing all letters I am getting tye (type) or like this for example. Someone at - it help me fix this please. I really want to get this computer working again.

    Your keyboard might not be hitting the correct letters (typing lertters numbers) because your shift caps lock is enabled (the led is green), to disable it on a portable computer, press on the 'fn + caps lk' keys at the same time, the green light should turn off.

    Your system is 32-bit if you need marked x 86 driver (it's actually 32-bit, there is no system of 86 bit).

    For you On - Screen Keyboard, check if it is automatically configured to start whenever you open a session:

    Go to the Control Panel, easy access, less "explore all settings', click on 'Use the computer without a mouse or keyboard', click on the box in front of"Use on-screen Keyboard"to uncheck if its active.

  • LaserJet 6 p ignoring letters

    I work for a University doing tech support and I came across a strange question. Printer Laserjet 6 p in one of the offices of our AHD is ignorant letters or their prayer in the following way:

    2013 Summ r NFL r ation Sch

    In the case of words 'School' and 'Information', the o's look like the symbol for pi and the 'm' appears to make up for a bit. I was told that this problem does not occur if printing from Notepad.

    Any thoughts?

    Changed the font Arial (apparently this model has pre-installed fonts) and it prints fine. It turns out that the age of the printer it will more or less be an insoluble problem. The printer comes pre-installed with 45 fonts and additional fonts must be added in via compatibility packs HP maintains is more due to the age of the equipment. I have loaded it to print documents of police 'fun' at the front desk, which is much more recent and does not suffer from this problem.

  • Help - REGEXP: ignore zeros when it is followed by letters

    Hello

    I have a database with the data entered is wrong.

    Is it possible to do a query: SELECT * from table where name like '% 1NC_P51234' and resulting:

    1NC_P51234
    1NC_P01234
    1NC_P0001234

    Basiccly YES, after the undercore and the letter P, ignoring the zero

    Hi, Roseline,.

    I think I understand now. Examples of great help, and done the formatting.

    Let's rewrite the existing query, to make it more clear what he does:

    SELECT  *
    FROM    table_x
    WHERE   REGEXP_LIKE ( name
                        , '_P'     ||     -- (a) the characters '_' and 'P', followed by
                    '0*'     ||     -- (b) 0 or more '0's                  , followed by
                    '[1-9]'     ||     -- (c) any of the characters '1' througn '9'
                  )
    ;

    That may have worked perfectly for your orriginal problem, but now you have a slightly different problem.
    Before the optional '0', now you can get the 5 string '06 M - P' nstead of the string 2 "_P". You can simply change the part (a).
    After the '0' option, you must now find the character '2' instead of characters 'by 9' 1. You can simply change the part (c), and you now have:

    SELECT  *
    FROM    table_x
    WHERE   REGEXP_LIKE ( name
                        , '06M_P'     ||     -- (a) the characters '0', '6', 'M', '_' and 'P', followed by
                    '0*'     ||     -- (b) 0 or more '0's, followed by
                    '2'     ||     -- (c) the character '2'
                  )
    ;

    Again another time, condition (a) can be '09R_P' and condition (c) could be "600", in which case you could say:

    SELECT  *
    FROM    table_x
    WHERE   REGEXP_LIKE ( name
                        , '09R_P'     ||     -- (a) the characters '09R_P', followed by
                    '0*'     ||     -- (b) 0 or more '0's, followed by
                    '600'     ||     -- (c) the characters '600'
                  )
    ;

    Actually, all of the queries above work exactly as written. The 2nd argument of REGEXP_LIKE can be any kind of expression.
    It can be a single literal string, like

    '_P0*[1-9]'

    or it can be a concatenation of string literals 3, as

    '09R_P' || '0*' || '600'

    or it can be a concatenation of literals and bind variables, as

    :part_a || 'P_0*' || :part_c

    or it can be a concatenation of any kinds of string expressions, including
    literals,.
    bind variables,
    columns,
    SUBSTR,
    CASE expressions,
    even other regular expressions.

    Hi TerriIP,

    ·         What is the brand and model of the keyboard?

    ·         It happens with all applications?

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    If you use a wireless keyboard, and then try to connect a wired keyboard and verification.

    You will need to reduce the character repeat rate in keyboard settings and check.

    a. open keyboard properties by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type keyboard, and then click keyboard.

    b. in the character repeat, move the rate to the left slider repeat make keyboard characters repeat more slowly, or move it to the right to make them repeat more quickly, and then click OK.

    You can also check if similar problem occurs when you use the keyboard of the screen:

    Type without using the keyboard (on-screen keyboard)

    Hello

    Yes, I know that this question.
    As far as I know that this has been fixed by the updated BIOS

    See the European driver of Toshiba page and download the latest BIOS for your laptop model.
    Update the BIOS and check how it works.

  • The letters are too thin to read

    On my new Dell desktop with an E1910Hc monitor, there is very high definition, but the letters in many programs (including Word) are too small to read easily. In other words, the letters look as if they were written with a very fine tip pen, making letters appear almost grey not black and pretty hard to read.  I wish they were thicker, like the letters in a printed book.  Sizing of fonts is not the answer.  What the DPI setting in Control Panel?  Something else?  Or is it just like that?  Running Windows XP Professional.  All this seems to be of high resolution, which is fine in everything except the letters, and it is all the work I do.

  • T420 does not take into account the case of letters power on password

    Hello!

    just noticed that when I boot my laptop with power on password, it accepts the password regardless of the case of the letters I get. For example, if the password is set to "qwerty" it starts with "qwerty", "QWERTY", "qWeRtY", "QWErty" and so on. It is the same for the HARD drive password. Is this a bug or a feature?

    T420 4178

    BIOS 1.30

    Fingerprint authentication enabled

    It's just how it works.  The BIOS passwords actually use these keys scancodes, and not the ASCII representation.  In this implementation, the modifiers (for example, the SHIFT key) are ignored.

    someone please help

    You listed the correct version of the OS.

    The good news is that you have the most available from Verizon updated version.  The bad news is that OS 4.7.0.148 version still has this as a question in there.  Most of the time when you type, you'll notice that it works very well, but every so often, he did exactly what you said (I had this problem on my phone avec.148 as well).  There are other versions that do not have the same problem, but they are not official for use on Verizon right now.

    As a result, there are really a couple of options you have here:

    1. Ignore this... it is quite normal and does not affect the operation of the device.  You can expect that Verizon upgrades the operating system again.  In the meantime, play with the settings you have until you find the one you prefer.
    2. You can install an OS that has not been made official on Verizon.  Note that you only do so if you are uncomfortable, upgrade and downgrade the operating systems on your phone and as long you understand that Verizon provides no support for the software they had not approved.

    If you have additional information about #2, please let us know.  In General, however, unless it's really drive you crazy furious, I live just with her until Verizon approves the next update - as you are less likely to have problems if you must go to Verizon for any need of support.

  • Orthographic inDesign - ignoring the reference numbers in the tables

    I have a document of 100 pages with several tables.  Each table contains many numbers of different parts, some letters including and others do not.  We do not have any specific format.  Is it possible that I can get the spell check to ignore any word that contains a number in my entire document?  I want to still come out check to check the tables because there are other things other than the numbers of room inside.  I tried using GREP styles to achieve this, but I can't make it work.  Help, please!

    Create a character style that affects the Language of No attribute and apply it to part numbers (use a find/replace query to find them). Does not take into account no. language spell check words.

  • Interation game memory - letters with accents

    Hello, I have set up the interaction of memory game Cap 7. I want the user based on the English and French terms. However, the letters with accents (year = year) simply do not appear in the active set. Indeed, I can enter it to make the game, but when I go to start the game, all these letters are simply ignored (omitted). Instead of the year, we see anne! What can we do? Thank you. Marvin DuBois

    Owen, you can reach the symbols of the accordion Format while you set the memory game. Also even when you copy the characters of a container of text on the stage, in which you have used this symbol Panel, the characters in combination are just deleted. This is clearly a bug, have already send a bug report. The latest version of this game already has more features for the location and this new text feature, but it is a pity that it does not.

  • Letters the first letter of sentence

    Hi all

    I use 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.5.0

    I would like to convert this string:
    it's a phrase one another... yet another.
    in
    This is a sentence. Another... Umpteenth.
    with capital letters at the beginning of the text and after any point (just looking at full stops at the moment).

    I'm having a problem with regular expressions in this functions applied to the backreferences are applied for the literal text rather than the back reference.

    for example:
    Wrote file afiedt.buf

      1  with t as (select lower('this is a sentence. another one... yet another.') txt
      2               from dual)
      3       select regexp_replace(txt,'(\.+ +)([[:alpha:]])','\1'||upper('\2'))
      4*      from t
    13:13:36 SQL> /

    REGEXP_REPLACE(TXT,'(\.++)([[:ALPHA:]])','\1'||UPPER('\2'))
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    this is a sentence. another one... yet another.

    1 row selected.
    This does not succeed the upper() function is applied to the string literal "\2" rather than the appropriate alpha character.

    I'm really hoping to avoid resorting to splitting the string using instr and re - concatenate together again, but what it really takes.

    Yes, I Googled, but I had trouble finding references that refer to initcaps()

    Hello

    It's the kind of thing I would write a PL/SQL function.

    If you know a substring that never happens in the text (say "~"), then you can:
    (1) change all spaces to ' ~ 0'
    (2) when there is a number of consecutive ' ~ 0 after an end of sentence punctuation, then change the last of them in a space
    (3) use INITCAP
    (4) change others ' ~ 0 in spaces

    SELECT     REPLACE ( INITCAP ( REGEXP_REPLACE ( REPLACE ( txt
                                       , ' '
                                       , '~0'
                                       )
                                , '([.?!](~0)*~0)([[:alpha:]])'
                                , '\1 \3'
                                )
                     )
              , '~0'
              , ' '
              )          AS cap_txt
    FROM     t

    I don't know how you can manage abbreviations, for example "example."
