U2414H, DDM, please connect a Dell monitor taken in charge

Hello when I open my pc I get this error on dell display Manager (please connect a dell monitor supported) and freeze my pc I try reinstalling the vga driver but the problem is I have the monitor for 3 months and I've never had a problem this problem. stars all of a sudden I use mini display port to vga: asus hd 7750

I doubt that the material of the monitor is defective. Open the U2414H OSD (On Screen Display) display settings and make sure that DisplayPort 1.2 is disabled.

I am able to run the laptop, as well as a VGA monitor monitor, as well as a HDMI monitor and a USB port monitor all at once on a laptop G60-513NR?  Laptop has all these available ports.

    Hi tbn14,

Welcome to the forums of hp. Thank you for yor query.

Unfortunately, your laptop is able to process one entry at a time due to considerations of graphics card.

You should be able to run the following configuration:

HDMI + Usb Monitor or VGA + Usb Monitor.

May I recommend that you look at getting a KVM switch is better able to handle multiple monitors.

  • Can I connect a Dell 17 "monitor to my iMac g5?

    Hello!

I just bought an iMac G5 to an individual on Craigslist with a broken power supply.  I've already replaced the power supply and the computer now works perfectly.  In any case, I have a 17 inch 1440 X 900, Dell display with a VGA connector on the back.  I wonder if I can use the Dell monitor as a secondary monitor (extended desktop) with the iMac.  The iMac has two ports, firewire, 4 USB ports and a port mini screen.  Thanks a lot for your suggestions!

Yes, you can use it. You will need an adapter cable

  • How to connect an additional monitor for the gateway all-in-one?

Hello you all, I have a question I hope you a lot more smarter computer people can help me with. I have a friend who has a gateway all in one model #-ZX4931. It has a VGA port on the back. It has been also updated for Windows 10. I'm house sitting and dog looking for her in a few weeks

I want to plug the additional monitor which by the way, it's a Dell (sorry) to work on a project I'am doing right now. I try to use the screen that she has on the All In One and I didn't like how my project came out looking

I see on the back of its All In One, it has a VGA port. I Google several times and different words from Google, which told me that you cannot plug an additional external monitor for all in one PC, so I'm confused as to why there is a VGA port, if you couldn't plug the external monitor

in any case, can someone please help me and give me details on how to connect an external monitor, in addition to its gateway all in one model #-ZX4931

Looking at your specific model, I think you can try to connect an external monitor via the VGA port.

Once you have connected the secondary monitor using the VGA port, press control + p and main Windows logo if you are able to extend or clone your desktop.

  • HPE HP8 1360t DVI connections and two monitors

I recently bought a new HP8 HPE 1360t directly from HP.

I finally got around to get set up last night. I like almost everything about it, EXCEPT to try to figure out how to make it work with two monitors.

Before buying, I contacted HP sales to confirm that this model could support two monitors in extended mode, which means that Office spans both monitors, giving me two times the workspace.

I have two monitors (1908FP) Dell that I got as part of a severance package from my last job (Yes, I know what you think) and down them as two monitors with the office in extended mode. They have both connected via DVI to a MOLEX splitter. They seem to be of DVI - D Single Link.

At the back of my new computer, there are three DVI ports:

-one on its own and it is DVI - I Dual Link (photo below)

-both grouped together and on the side. one looks like DVI - I Dual Link and the other DVI - D Dual Link

When you configure the workstation I naturally just assumed to connect all the cables DVI mail of my monitors for each of the two DVI ports on the side. Nothing happened.

I removed then each of them to test it on its own. Still nothing.

Then I plugged into the port at the top, and it worked. But it has only a single port.

So I went back and tried the other in each of the two and went to the panel display and but it does not recognize the second monitor.

At this point I don't know what to do. They told me this computer supports two monitors, but I don't see how it's done if neither of the DVI low ports to work.

Is there anything else I should do? Or have I not those who simply do not work?

I am running Windows 7 family Premium 64-bit (Service Pack 1), Direct X 11, and the graphics card is GeForce GT 630.

If it means anything NVIDIA control panel says my card and monitor are HDCP and it does not find the second monitor when I use setting up the functionality of multiple screens.

I would be very happy for any help and advice.

    Thank you.

    Lee

    This model uses a card mother IPMMB-FM (Formosa). The built-in rear I/O below;

    (5) - DVI - I (digital and analog output) and DVI - D (digital only)

When the computer is equipped with a dedicated graphics installed in slot PCIe x 16 card, this motherboard integrated DVI outputs are disabled. The only connections that you can use are those on GT630 discrete graphic card. This card must have at least a DVI and an HDMI output. Please post a photo of the back of your computer, centered on the graphics card. You may need to use a HDMI-DVI adapter to connect the second monitor.

  • Possible to connect an external monitor for laptop HP Pavilion dv4t-4200 CTO

I have a HP Pavilion dv4t-4200 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC model # A1M02AV and it has a VGA, one port that resembles a cable port phone/broadband and one that looks like a USB port, but indented on each side down. I can even connect an external monitor? How will I know if I have more than 1 video card? In addition to the usual USB/headphone ports, I have not all ports. He says that my drivers are up to date... but I don't know even what I'm looking for. Do I need to install something or buy some kind of adapter?

I'm trying to connect an external Dell montitor via the VGA port with a VGA cable. The monitor has power, but my laptop does not detect recognize them / it. However, when I plugged in the first time in, my laptop screen has shrunk in a square (vs the entire screen) so he acknowledged something... but nothing happened on the external monitor.

I tried to detect through my display settings, but I have accidentally changed some display setting until the reception desk shows only 1 monitor, but not selected my real laptop screen or something or changed to be Monitor 2 (even if there is no monitor 1), so when I plug the cable into my laptop suddenly my desktop disappears and it's just a white background screen - and I cannot access the screen of the computer settings or whatever whatever... when the cable is disconnected this setting seems to be normal, so I can not understand how to fix it.

Sorry, I don't know what I'm doing here - please help!

    Hello

All Dell monitors are equipped with CD for the drivers. Your laptop may not know the monitor without its driver, it will not install automatically. Please check:

Ringht click an empty space on the desktop,

    Click Customize

    Click on display

    Click on change display settings

You can see the TWO laptop screen and external monitor in there, as shown in the following image:

For the test, I put my Dell monitor is my main screen. If I can't see 2 monitors, you need its driver first and then check the cable.

    Kind regards.

  • Monitor taken?

My Dell monitors (second user) all have the USB hub is under construction and I noticed there is an another taken 6vDC to input on the rear panel is also - that, to allow the user to provide a power source, such as a hub USB will continue to power devices when the monitor it is car is turned off? If my hypothesis is correct, anyone know a part number for the unit so I can investigate a purchase please?

The plug is designed to power the monitor soundbar (speakers). It does not need to be able to 'in' the monitor. There is no way around the fact that if you turn off the monitor, the USB ports also turn off.

  • Can you connect U3014 DELL to the PS3?

OK, I have the old dell 3007wfp 30 '. I tried to connect my ps3 to the screen via hdmi/DVI. It did not work. I can't play either any Blu - ray movie via computer on this screen.

Now, in the next 2 weeks, I plan to buy the new U3014 from DELL. I'm still very happy with my old dell 3007, but I also want to connect to the PS3.

My question is can connect you the new dell monitor 30 ' to the PS3 and it allows to play games? I mean that the new screen has the hdmi connection, so maybe it works with the PS3? Can you also use it to watch Blu - Ray?

The naturalness of 2560 x 1600 resolution can prevent connection and using the PS3 and watch Blu - ray or he makes the adjustment of hd resolution?

The only reason why I'd buy this monitor is if I can connect to the PS3. Can any representative dell or Dell U3014 help me?

    Hi Mary,

Dell U3014 comes with HDMI output and you should be able to connect with the PS3 to play games. However, you will need to connect external speakers to "Audio output" to get the sound output as there are no internal speakers in U3014. The monitor is capable of resolutions up to 2560 x 1600 and should be able to play Blu - ray videos without any hassles. You can refer to the technical specifications of the monitor available in Guide user here.

I hope this helps. Answer please if you have any other questions.

  • Touchsmart computer connection to another monitor

Hi, I looked at the forum in other places and I've seen an adapter that can work with other my monitor, but I'm not too sure. The HP USB graphic adapter connects to a DVI / VGA? And if it is could I then connect my other monitors VGA cable, (the only entrance/exit) with pins on the connector DVI / VGA?

Please help me if you can. Thank you

This is the profile for the HP USB graphic adapter (model # NL571AA). According to the specifications, the adapter kit consists of HP USB graphics card, a USB cable and a DVI - I to VGA. Plug the USB cable into the computer and the USB graphic card. If you are using a cable and a VGA monitor, plug the DVI - I to VGA in the USB graphics adapter. Then plug your time your monitor VGA audio and USB DVI - I to VGA graphics card installed.

You can do the same thing with any other adapter USB / VGA on the market, including EVGA more + UV19 or the EVGA more + UV39

    Hi Julie,.

    1. is the issue limited to the pictures on your computer?

    2. make the computer desktop and other screens come well?

    3. what program do you use to see the pictures?

4 did you changes in the program before the show?

If the question is limited to viewing photos, you can use a different program for the same thing and see if the problem persists. You can use Windows Live Photo Gallery.
