U2711, developed a green line (vertical) today

My monitor is still under warranty, and developed a vertical green line today. I ran the self-assessment test, unplugged and I can see the anomaly in red and blue. How can I request my Advanced - guarantee of the next business day Exchange (8 X 5)?

    Hello

These lines on the screen indicate graphics card problem.
Try testing with external monitor? If the same image that you will certainly know the graphics card is defective.

Anyway, these two questions are for me serious enough and best thing you can do is to contact the nearest Toshiba authorized maintainer.

  • Satellite L350D-216: green lines, dots and shadows.

    Hi all.

About three days ago, I bought a laptop (Toshiba L350D, published on July 09 I think) second hand on a good deal.

I turn it on today, to discover a series of weird green lines, points and shadows, over which areas of text hard to read.

You can see to the right of the words and if you look close enough, also around the different letters in the Google logo.

Do not clear especially here (sorry), but the words greyed out in the address bar are very ghosts.

Also, he seems to have replaced areas full of colors like grey, with a color green "dotty".

It seems that this issue has also spread on video, where green areas are now appearing at random points.

I have updated with the latest display drivers available here, who unfortunately made no difference.

Any advice on why it suddenly decided to go and how to get rid of would be appreciated, I use the laptop for Photoshop and as you can imagine, having a surface of green and shadows is rather off-putting when I'm working.

    Hello

To be honest, all the screenshots displayed in your message is displayed correctly on my laptop.

It seems that your graphics card or screen developed a problem.

You can check if the same thing is seen on the external monitor.

If yes then the internal display may be affected and should be replaced.

To do this, you should get in touch with a local Toshiba technician.

  • Why my films are released in the form of thin and green lines when working in Windows Movie Maker?

When I change the video, everything seems fine. I can see the video, I can modify it. But when I publish it, it becomes a black screen with a thin, green line oriented horizontally or vertically, that it seems to vary.

I tried redownloading Windows Movie Maker (the link is on my Hotmail page) and it did not help. It's actually when the line is vertical.

The strange thing is the titles on video and audio actually appear very well. But I don't think it's my camera because the video plays very well before I publish it. So what the hell is happening?

I use a Flip camcorder if that helps.

Here's a video showing the problem. You can hear the sound and see the title wipe across the screen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=guL_l-YOz8E

Not sure if I have a few other Codec here or not, but I think I could.

In any case, I realized the problem WITH WMM, I went and tried to save other ways and go with more parameters: DV - AVI (PAL) works!

  • Red/green line on screen of laptop

So, whenever we go out, my family put my laptop under a couch to hide. Anyone have any ideas on what is wrong? The lines are still there, for two days. I don't drop it or anything, but just maybe I put him on the ground too hard. I searched on the internet and get the results of "broken screen", "broken video card", "Reinstall video card", "some things are cowards"... no idea what to do. If anyone have experienced this, please help!

My laptop is Compaq Presario A900, is told by the way. Had for about... 2 years. Or less.

    Looks like this:

and no, I didn't sit on it or drop it, ever. This is why I still don't think that the cables of the screen are screwed or the screen is broken. Other problems, perhaps? Thank you.

    Hello

1TS restart to ensure that nothing works to influence the following process.

Change the resolution of your screen to a little lower - OK. Change for a bit higher than it was (all the way)
the lines change their locations or they stay in the same place? If they stay in the same place then it
There's a chance that the screen has been damaged. You can reset the resolution as desired.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Now this

Control Panel / Device Manager - graphics cards - writing down of the brand and complete model of the device.
Double-click it and write the version - now click on update drivers (this could do nothing as MS is
far behind certification pilot) - now do a RIGHT CLICK on the device and UNINSTALL - REBOOT which will refresh
    the driver stack.

Then go to system Maker and get the latest drivers (or the same if not more recent ones) - download - SAVE-
go to where you put - top - right click RUN AS ADMIN - REBOOT.

I hope that your lines have disappeared.

    If not try this-

Start - type in the search box - MSCONFIG will find at the top of the list right click - RUN AS ADMIN.

General tab - note what settings are there now - select Diagnostic startup - APPLY / OK - REBOOT

Are the lines still there? If this isn't the case, then you have a program or service starting up causing their.

  • Dreamweaver - green line on the side of the MP4 videos, part 2

The original discussion: Re: Dreamweaver - green line on the side of MP4 videos

OK now I get disturbed (not the fault of you guys of course).

I discovered that the green line is NOT on my videos, but is caused by the insertion of the video (via Insert-HTML-HTML5 video).

Another method of insertion, the original route, I used in the old (Insert HTML plugin) version works better - does not cause the green line, but the line grey on the background remains.

I don't want ALL the lines on the edges of my videos. (I like black open space, that I had, it's much more aesthetic and gives a full page less busy look).

As you can see on other videos (approx) on the menu, what happened to the previous version of DW (defective if it was with El Capitan - it crashed or took a force - quit almost whenever I used it).   http://www.communicomics.com/eyemenu.html

I am trying to edit these videos, and there seems to be no way to reintegrate those who are free to line to this new version.

(This happens when I try to re - insert the same videos in this new version.) It is certainly something in this new version, which is the cause.)

I am also changing the text, and apparently I can also no longer edit the text using the 'direct' either - the only way I found to do it is to make a code live/split screen and revise the text in the code section.

I also miss the opportunity to make a convenient toggle of the widths of the table (I tried to create a new page, thinking that the green line can be caused by the table created in the previous version.

(Maybe there is a simple way to edit live view that I'm missing?)

But I'm trying to get this stuff finalized, and this new version is screwing things upward.

I'll take the time to learn the Muse, but today, I need a quick way to work with what I have (and of course, when I do, there is no guarantee of Muse will not have the same question 'lines').

I just want to be able to replace the videos with revision without the lines.

If there is no work around for this, is it possible to have the old version of DW back so I can finish it without all this hassle?

    Please advise, my countdown has...

    Thanks again,

    Joe

To get rid of the green line, make sure that your output video width is a multiple of 16.

Short answer. With MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 (and other codecs DCT based), compression is applied to a grid of 16 x 16 pixel macroblocks. With MPEG - 4 Part 10 (h.264), multiple of 4 and 8 also works, but 16 is more effective.

I think I have a problem with the cable that go from my screen to the SLI card, you have the reference to the present?

Have you ever had this problem?

    Sorry for my English.

    Hello!

Do you have this problem on an external monitor too or only on the screen internal? Maybe it s not a graphics card problem. Check it!

If you have the same problem on the external monitor, you must go to an ASP. I think that map graphic or let's say the motherboard needs to be replaced. :(

Welcome to the HP Forums! I read your post and wanted to help.

I understand that you have a black spot, down from the top of the screen a green line. You can connect an external monitor to your laptop. If the external monitor is displayed well, it may be the laptop screen broken. You can contact the store local repair, or HP support by phone for repair.

  • Green line on screen - Tecra A2

    Hello

I have a problem with the screen. There is a green line appearing to the left corner of the screen and still a thing was I want to change the cover of my laptop.

Do we get shells? Please answer.

    Hello

If possible try to connect the external display to your Tecra and check if the problem persists. On this way, you will know if this issue may be due to display or the graphics card.

If you need some parts for your laptop, you can contact partner service authorized in your country or check if you can find some independent services and order all the parts you need. eBay is also a place where you can find many parts for Toshiba laptops.

  • Annoying green line glisten under Compaq Cq40 LCD screen

I don't know if it's because of the new BIOS I installed that caused it that I improved F.24 F.30 version and after that all of a sudden there's this green line boring glisten under my LCD... and my temp CPU reaches now to + 60 degrees Celsius, while before upgrading my CPU temp only amounts to 32 degrees Celsius.

I already flashed the BIOS F.30 and now he's back to F.24 the temp went down, but the green line which sparkle under my LCD screen is still there... I checked the new updates to the graphics card but it says that it is up-to-date. so theBIOS has nothing to do with the flickering line after all I thought that it was caused by the high temperature. Haven't bought my laptop in Singapore in February this year no problem until this one

BTW, my laptop is a Compaq CQ40 319TU with Vista Home Premium OS license.

  • HP Envy 5532 Printing green lines across the page when scanning in color

Hi, I'm Green striped wallpaper is the best way to describe it, when I scan a document color the entire page has this striped background green and the image being analyzed. The printer is around the age of 18 months.

I tried all the diagnostic tools that are available through the printer, nothing seems to clear it.

    Any suggestions?

    Hey @thelentons,

Welcome to the HP forums! I hope you enjoy your stay here.

I understand that your e-all-in-one printer of 5532 Envy is scanning with green lines. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet , not a surge protector. Once it's done remove any paper flat from the printer and turn the printer off, then on again. Finally we will try to make a copy. If the copy has lines so you have a hardware problem. If you are able to make a copy without lines so you can have a software problem.

If you have a hardware problem

While the printer is turned on remove the cable at the back of the printer for a minute, turn on the printer and try to make a copy.

If the copy always has lines in it then we will make a factory reset the printer. I'll send you some pointers on how to do so shortly in a private message.

If after the reset you still have lines in print then the printer needs to be replaced. You can contact HP support by clicking here and filling out the form below.

If you have a software problem

I can provide you with more information, but I need to know what operating system is on your computer. If you are not sure what your operating system is you can click here to find. Please let me know what you use, and I'll be better able to help you.

I hope this solves your problem of copy and wish you a nice day!

If this solves your problem then please help others to find this post by clicking on accept as Solution on my post.

If you appreciate my help so please let others know by clicking on the icon below my post thumbs up.

  • Crash of Vista, graphic error, green lines and broken at the start lines.

OK, maybe complicated I don't know.

Occasional at startup, my screen will be covered in white or green lines and will prevent windows to start so I have to manually turn my pc and turn it on again.

At first, it was just a problem visually but now its my PC randomly crash. The dotted green line will suddenly appear all over screen of, freeze my PC and I have to restart again.

It's random, it is not the case whenever I turn on the PC but when it does it is a pain.

    See you soon

    Hello, daz18

This seems to be either a driver, or more likely a hardware problem. Errors that distort the screen you describe is extremely rare with only software.

Check with the manufacturer and make sure that you have the latest video drivers for your computer.

Try to run the memory diagnostics tool: click Start, type memory in the search box and open the Diagnostic tool memory and choose whether you want to restart now or later. After the restart of the tool must be running and then windows starts to tell whether or not it finds problems.
