U2713HM, no power

My U2713HM crashed today completely. It is all black and nothing woks at all. We had a small fall in electricity (a minute), and when the power came back, the monitor stayed off, when all the other devices started again. I unplugged all the cables and them reconnected, but reacts not even start. What should I do?

HanneSch,

Was the U2713HM connected to a UPS (uninterruptible power supply)? Or he has been connected directly to the wall socket when you had the blackout?

* While the computer is on and the screen is still connected to the computer, turn off the screen
* Unplug the power cord from the bottom of the screen monitor
* Press and hold the button of power monitor for 10 seconds
* Plug the monitor power cord
* Try to turn on the monitor

  • U2713HM, does not connect to Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter?

I can't find instructions anywhere to connect this monitor to the graphics card.

I hooked it up to my USB & HDMI on the bottom of the screen.

I changed to import HDMI monitor.

Said the Surface Pro 3 to connect

He scanned for wireless screens and found nothing

Pushed the reset button on Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter for 10 seconds

I don't think that there is power to my USB ports.  Is there something I need to turn on the monitor to make this thing work?

OK, according to ManuelU2713HM, upstream of U2713HM USB cable must be connected to a USB port on a computer.

So if you have a laptop, connect the cable upstream U2713HM USB. Then test the Microsoft Wireless Adapter Display without the extension. Just use the U2713HM HDMI and USB.

  • U2713H and U2713HM Displayport

I ordered two screens refurb U2713HM out of the store, but an injury to the top being a Dell U2713HM & the other a U2713H screen.  Both are good enough work to satisfaction, but with a few quirks.  I use both connected to the ports of my beginning 2013 15 "macbook pro retina two thunderbolt. The u2713HM, while you sleep, seems to appear randomly with a backup mode incoming message from authorities and then immediately falls asleep every two hours.  It is more an annoyance than a real problem.

The other screen, the U2713H, sometimes gives me enter power saving mode when waking sleep or restart and the only solution seems to turns with the power button and turn it back on.   It is a bit more annoying and discouraging.  I'm curious to know what is my problem.  Is minor incompatibilities with mac or I would benefit from new cables (I don't use expensive white 6 ft monoprice cables, but I do not exactly know what the end in all the 'best' cable is to be used, but I would be happy to order it if there was a final recommendation, or some other configuration monitor I want to toggle.)  I also have the opportunity to spend minidsiplayport on the u2713h displayport cable to a cable minidisplayport minidisplayport if it would somehow /shrug useful.

    Thank you, chaoflux

    Hello Chaoflux,

I have the same 'enter power saving mode' problem, but after I changed the port settings of your Displayport 1.1 Menu display->-> DisplayPort 1.2 to disable the display settings, the problem never came again.

Hope that fix your problem also.

  • U2713HM, grilled?

Hi guys, I bought a Dell U2713HM monitor exactly 1 month ago. I used it regularly without problems until this. When I turned on the screen today, there is no display at all, just a black screen with a grey ring important along the border of the screen. OSD does not appear when I tried to do a factory reset. The monitor is connected through a DVI. I swapped a HDMI and VGA with the same result. I am really amazed at this, the power is at work, that he be able to start. Someone has an idea of what has happened here?

Open the User GuideU2713HM. Access pages 54 and 55. Run the Test automatically and integrated Diagnostics. If these tests fail to run or you see the problem during the execution of that test, the monitor is defective.

  • U2713HMs not recognized by Dell Display Manager?

    Hello

I have a setup of 3 monitors x U2713HM on a desktop computer with two nvidia GTX470 graphics cards SLI. The monitors are connected with the dual link DVI cables provided with the monitors and the drivers have been successfully installed too, I can see the name of the monitors in the windows display properties. However the DDM displays a warning message "please connect a dell monitor supported" and when I click on it it has a longer General wanrning message asking me to check the compatibility of the driver screen and power cycling the monitor... I tried all the facilities of the DDM and update one included in the CD version 12XX something up to the most up to date which is 1360 ago only a few days but no luck. Installation of windows is windows 7 64-bit sp1. It is also an open in the center of dell support ticket and I am very satisfied with their response so far, but we still have not solved the problem. I just thought posting here in case someone has similar problems with the gtx470 or sli configuration.

    Thanks in advance,
    Vangelis

DDM requires that the display driver support DDC/CI, who sometimes gets broken in complex configurations of SLI. Make sure that DDC/CI is activated in the MENU of each monitors, and that you are not running no matter what 3rd party or commercial temperature that may interfere with the DDC/CI of monitoring voltage. Then try a different NVidia display driver.

If none of this helps temporarily simplify your configuration to see how DDC/CI gets broken in the NVidia driver. Start with a monitor and a graphics card and run DDM 2 monitors and then one map graphic, then 2 monitors on two non - SLI graphics cards, then 3 monitors on 2 graphics cards, then SLI, 2 (back to the normal configuration of your favorite) graphics cards.

  • DisplayPort U2713HM frustrating problem

I just got a new Dell U2713HM monitor and tried to connect it via cable DisplayPort 1.2 from a PC brand new.

The monitor says "No DVI not connected" and enters a power saving Mode.

    Symptoms:

1 connect only DP of PC from Dell U2713HM-> monitor goes into power saving (and on no detected DVI companing) Mode

    2. connect only Dell U2713HM-> DVI monitor to the PC up to 1920 X 1080 display resolution (not enough and clumsy to be honest)

3 - connect the DP and DVI simultaneously - monitor behaves strangely. He blows a small portion of the screen, so you can't see the other parts of the screen. I can see the mouse moving through. Right-click on the screen and go "Screen Resolution" displays a maximum resolution of 2560 X 1440, but I get to use it and it does not change this mode of supply.

This seems to be a problem in the new range of Dell of whose very disappointing for this superb rather monitor.

No idea how to solve this problem?

I have corrected the problem. In fact, it was not a problem, but rather a configuration problem.

Go to Dell menu and set the display Port input source (it is not detected automatically)

  • [Power Mac G5] Type of liquid cooling system?

Y at - it anyway how to determine type of LCS just by looking at the case?

We have old school Power Mac G5 DP 2, 7GHz (early 2005) we use for editing (well, for the last two years, he's right there and no one wants to touch this old piece of...). They will throw him in the year, and since I was take care of him for a while, I thought I'd take home when they do and use it as a backup machine for the data of my and my wife. I would like the max memory, put a few large hard drives (and small SSD, but there seems to be a lot of problems with this) and run the Linux command (more problems).

But first, I have to clean the machine and look at the State of it. What particularly concerns me is the LCS (DP 2, 7GHz I) - these things have been prone to leaks and what I found there are at least three revisions of the LCS - second of them made by Panasonic seems to be the most reliable. I can't look inside, deeply, because it must be ready to use at least for another 3-4 months, I can do is to open the case and remove the front fan and look outside the heater.

So this brings me to my question: Y at - it anyway to determine the type of LCS just by looking at the case?

    Thank you...

Apparently, there were two models more prone to leaks than others, although still very rare. See this http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/powermac_g5/faq/powermac-g5-liquid-cooling-infos-fuites-issues.html

The damage inflicted by a system of flight are very serious, and it is almost impossible to hide or completely clean. As soon as you open the side panel on the Power Mac, you will easily be able to tell if this unit experianced a problem.

Recently, I see unusual activity on my MacBook, which associated powers and may be the charger cable, for example today when I connect the charger, the led light with a delay also after a few movements on cable!

    Hey there alpha120,

I understand that you are experiencing some problems with the power of your MacBook. While it looks like a spare battery is a good option for this behavior, you can also try a SMC reset:

  • Activate App stuck on waiting and power Mode low does ' t

    Hi all

I have at least two concurrent problems with my iPhone 6 + iOS 10.0.2 (but started with iOS 9).

I can't install new application directly from the App Store on the phone because they were stuck in the phase of "pending". Same behavior of update of the applications that are already installed.

The only way to update/install the app's iTunes download and synchronize.

The other simultaneous problem is in what regards the activation of "low power mode" with the rocker switch (settings > farm > Low Power). Whenever I try to activate (manual or automatic 20% of battery) function, the gray toggle becoming in the Middle, then return to the OFF position.

I already have backupped & restored several times, but nothing has changed.

    How can I solve this?

    Thank your

    Best regards

    Hello Axoduss,

Thanks for posting in the communities of Support from Apple. I see that you have two problems. One is that the low power Mode is not activated, and the other is that updates and new applications are blocked pending. I know that I rely on my iPhone for everything. It is important to ensure that it works as expected. I'll be more than happy to help.

Great job to the backup of your phone and restore. It's a great way to help solve these issues.

If you are restoring from a backup, the problem may be in the back upward. I recommend to reset the phone to factory settings and set up like new to see if the Mode low power and installing apps works. If this does not work after the installation in the new and not after the restoration then you want to restore your data manually and not market back. Here is an article on setting up the phone as new:

Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod settings - Apple Support

Let us know if that helps.

    Take care!

I have problems to restart of Yosemite, after power failure during the new backup, and now HD is also blocked.

I tried the holding of 'command-r' and 'option' to see if the problem can be resolved or try any boot from a boot disk, my old backup, USB function start - but after a slow long process it all just stops.

There is software on my HD that I don't want to lose by simply reformatting the computer, because I am now in a different country, far from my house, which is another problem of the Apple Store, to reinstall my OS from Yosemite on the www.

    Hey AmnonMikeCohen,
