U3014 DisplayPort question - fixed

I'm running the revision A03. Today the DisplayPort stopped working with my companion of Wacom Cintiq tablet. Everything was good 2 days ago. All other connections to work. I guess that I write mainly because of my frustration in trying to pass technical support. First person I spoke with barely spoke English (horrible accent they transferred me to someone else which required about a 35 minute wait.) They told me that my monitor is licensed in the Canada (I bought at B & H in New York about 3 months ago) and it will register here in the United States with a different REP Got on to this rep and they said they couldn't do anything to return to a technician. Waiting for 45 minutes, then their cutting line. So, now, I tried to go online through a chat but the monitor is registered abroad (Canada), so can't do anything there. I think it's the cable. Just doing my own technical service and buy a new cable to see if it works. The thing is, the monitor records a connection but keeps going to sleep mode so, not sure that the cable is the culprit.

You need to "register" the serial number U3014 using this form. It may take up to 20 business days to complete.

* Disconnect each cable from the bottom and side of the screen (including the power cord)
* Press and hold the button of power monitor for 8 seconds
* Reconnect power cord to the bottom of the screen
* Turn on the monitor and the Tablet
* Connect the DP from Dell to the CDM cable from the left most DP in the port (nearest the power cord) on the monitor to the out port of the Tablet AMD
* Press the entry button (3rd from the top) screen and choose entry DisplayPort

  • U3014 power questions

    Turning on my U3014 power is behaving strangely and I wonder if I need to hire a return or is there something else I can do?

    While the PC is on, if I switch the monitor off I can not switch back on except if I power cycle it.

    Even weirder, if the monitor is turned off when the PC is started, it lights, but then I can't turn off, even after it turns off the PC.

    The monitor power cord must be connected directly to the socket while troubleshooting. Unplug the monitor all cables from the computer except for one DVI cable. Repeat the test.

  • Latency of the network after the Redial

    Hi all.

    We are running view 5.2.0 and will be upgrading to 5.3.2 this weekend.   We have 250 32 - bit Windows 7 VM on our network divided into 8 pools all related to persistent clones using management Persona.  That being said, we have a problem of latency huge network when the users connect to the aftermath of a company-wide recompose all VMs.  Latency begins when everyone connects to their virtual machines simultaneously around 09:00, and the problem finally disappeared about 1 1/2 to 2 hours later.  I'm sure that this is due to the fact that everyone is to create a new local profile on each virtual machine on the exact time even put a lot of stress on the ms to get profile information.  How everyone is around this issue? The only way I could get around this problem is only redial groups of 30 to 40 VM in a single night and it's very well until we encounter a major such as update I will be performing this weekend.

    A small aside: it's 'OK' to proceed to view 5.3.2 and having an Agent to 5.3.0? Request only because I want to recompose slowly all machines unless I can get the above question fixed in time.

    We found the answer to our problem.  We did record with 2 VMA esxtop and noticed our IOPS / s is average to high for what we can treat via our 2 EMC IS 3150 x.  We are currently 8 000 + IOPS / sec for a normal workload and our e can only handle about 5,000.  The seller who recommended that the EMC device now buy back our current 2 x of THESE 3150 and we buy a 5200 VNX loaded with flash which we hope to resolve all the problems of performance.

    It is recommended to use the Toshiba driver because the drivers you can download from the Toshiba site are tested. You can install the driver provided by the producer of the graphics card, but there is no guarantee that it will work properly. You can try it. You may be lucky and it will work without any problem.

    If your system is up to date there is no need to install all the miraculous solution to all.

    Recently, I asked a question and was happy to receive an answer as fast, but it was my first time using the Apple community support discussion format. After reading the suggested solution, in my attempt to answer, I hit the button solved by mistake, but the suggestion I received did not solve my problem - but I appreciated the suggestion. When I realized that it seems that my problem has been resolved, but wasn't really, there is no way to undo that so I'll ask my question again.

    I get a message saying my iOS crashed by third party and need to call the phone number to set. I'm stuck on this page, and no matter what I do, message keeps flashing. I tried dragging up close and also off screen iPad but that did not help... I was raised immediately to the same message. I used the browser Google Chrome safari not unfortunately. I read the threads on the other people who have had the problem though, they were using the safari browser. There seems to be a way to fix if you are using safari, but I couldn't find any resolution of the problem when using Chrome. I understand from reading the discussions that this message is a scam and I know not not to dial the phone number.

    I would be very grateful and thankful if someone could help me solve this problem!

  • Quick Fix for more questions to eFax (Photosmart 7510 & Envy 110/114)

    Problems resolved by the patch:


    • Cannot send eFaxes
    • Cannot receive eFaxes
    • Cannot connect to the eFax on the front panel of the printer.
    • Cannot save eFax on the front panel of the printer.
    • Trying to access with eFax, it says that the printer is not connected wireless.
    • Trying to access with eFax, it asks that you activate web services before continuing.

    The fix:


    First, press the ePrint button in the upper left corner of the screen to your printer to access the menu of Web Services.

    Once there, press the button "settings".

    If printing is turned on, turn it off and then back on. Press the return key, then press 'Print the State'.

    If ePrint is off, turn it on. Press the return key, then press 'Print the State'.

    These steps may seem strange given that the problem is with eFax and eFax works on printing via ePrint service.

    If this fix does not work for all of the questions listed above, the problem is probably related to something else. Let me know what problem you are having in this thread and I will do everything I can to get all this work for you.

  • DisplayPort XB270HU questions - 'No Signal'

    Hey, Acer.

    I just bought a XB270HU monitor. I was really excited, because I had also bought a new GeForce 980 TI video card to get the best out of the 144 Hz that this monitor can support. (Also, you know, G-SYNC.)

    So, I was very disappointed when I started having problems DisplayPort.

    When I turn on my computer, the video works fine, but as soon as Windows starts loading, I see a 'No Signal' message. (This happens even on three DP connectors, this isn't a problem with a defective port). From what I found online, this seems to be a known issue with the graphics chips from NVidia Maxwell and DisplayPort monitors. (And my graphics card worked perfectly when I used a DVI monitor with her for the past two weeks.)

    However, were a few times where I got my monitor to work:
    1. with another monitor connected to the DVI port on my video card. However, when I unplugged my DVI monitor, my XB270HU has stopped working immediately. I have reproduced twice.
    2. the very first time I used each of the three DP channels on my video card. The first time I used my monitor with DP #1, it worked. I was even able to play games. But after I restarted my computer (and turned to my monitor and the new), DP #1 did not work. I then plugged my monitor DP #2, and yet once again, it worked, until I rebooted. Same thing with DP #3.

    I'm inclined to believe that this is a problem with my video card (and probably a handshake problem), since I noticed others problems solved with a new BIOS from their card provider. And I already have a support ticket with ASUS (my graphic card provider). But I also wanted to reach out to the Acer support to see if you've found a compatible solution yet. Maybe there is something in a newer version of the firmware that can answer this, or plant something in the menu. I'm willing to try almost anything, so I'll cross my fingers and hope you have a few ideas.

    So, I have an update, but it is not super satisfying.

    I've since sold this monitor. Is running, when it is connected to a reference EVGA GTX 980, it works perfectly. No DP 'No Signal' no questions, no interaction with other ports on the back of the weird video card. No doubt which means that there is something wrong with some Maxwell maps (GTX 9 x 0 series). I guess I could have RMAed my 980 Ti and obtained without this problem, or switched to an EVGA card that entitled vBIOS installed. It is therefore not the monitor. Or not entirely screen.

    I don't know if subsequent revisions of this monitor did anything at their end to alleviate the problems of handshake of DP, or if it should be on the side of graphics card. But I'm here to say that, in this case, the monitor does not seem to have had the problem.
