  • Re: Vista UAC always request authorization to run Tempro times Satellite Boote

I installed utility "Tempro" from Toshiba, which is very useful to talk about updates etc. TEMPRO is installed as one of my startup programs, and I'm happy to do.

However, whenever I restart my computer, control Vista application user account permission to execute Tempro.
This does not happen with all the other programs that I set to run at startup.

It is an irritation, because when I turn on my computer, I would go until all startup routines have completed.
But instead, I have to hang around waiting for the window UAC to appear and then tell him to go forward and then wait a little longer before I can use my computer.

Can someone tell me how to configure so that user account control is not in the path?
As I say, UAC doesn't interfere with any of my other startup programs, so I'm puzzled why he should get involved with Tempro.

    Hello

You can turn off UAC using the msconfig.
    RUN-> msconfig
Then click on the Tools tab scroll down until you find "disable UAC". Click on this line. Press the launch button.
A CMD window opens and after a few seconds when the command has fished, you can close the window. Close MSCONFIG, and then restart the computer.

  • Skype, Windows 8.0, 8.1 and UAC

    All,

I bought a computer back-end of 2012 with a pre-installed W8 and Skype version. I turned UAC then (hate it, please do not suggest I should enable or is it good for me). Unfortunately, the Skype app does not work any longer. If I remember correctly, it required that you are connected with a identifying global microsoft, which in turn UAC requires be on; Please don't suggest not identify myself all the time is good for me).

At the time, I solved the situation by installing a more open, the previous version of Skype; of course, during its use, I connect (and disconnect you when I'm done).

Today, I received an e-mail notifying me of this old version of Skype should be "retired".

So my question is: the latest version of Skype has solved that too, or does still you connect and/or activate UAC?

I have a similar problem with upgrade to W8.1, fearing that it will apply you UAC-as other things. Any thoughts?

    Gilbert.

PS: should I go back to XP?

OK, then... no good no response from anyone, only a very partial.

    I'm a little disappointed.

    Thanks anyway.

  • Disable the UAC in VISTA window

    Hello

How to disable UAC in Windows Vista using LabVIEW Control window?

I did this VI (see attached). This VI works, if I have manually disabled the UAC window (regedit: "Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System - EnableLUA = 0 [DWORD]) of the control panel or regedit.

If I run my VI on a computer that has ON UAC, I can't open the registry key. Although, if I manually go to regedit and
change the variable windows EnableLUA to zero and restart the computer.
Then, I'll be able to control this LabVIEW registry key.

    Is
It's kind around to disable UAC only with LabVIEW. This means,
is it possible to change the EnableLUA variable Windows when I
    previously, I have UAC running?

    Thank you

    Hi JPLO,

If you run your VI as long as limited or in admin approval mode user, I expect not to be able to disable admin approval mode. Try right-clicking on the LabVIEW icon in the Start Menu and select "run as Administrator" and then run your VI.

Do a right click, properties, compatibility, change the setting to all users.

    Disable running as an administrator.

Windows Update recently made a lot of downloads on my computer about two weeks ago (I run it automatically and it works usually weekly) and he has made some changes to my system that create errors or difficulties with certain programs. The shield of the UAC is now appearing on many more programs for some reason any and now I'm a guest whenever a program is available. which is also appear on my AntiVirus program. Action Center flag appears almost every day now with warnings saying that my AntiVirus program and spyware is off (not sure if this is related to the UAC shield), but when I check my AntiVirus program everything works and after access; the flag of the Action Center shows while all right. Nobody knows how to solve this problem and get rid of the ecu of the UAC on programs (or at least some of them I want to be invited on)? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I'm sure I've upgraded to Vista SP2, but not absolute, I can't find a lot of information in the case of the newspapers with the service pack level... only vista combined with some process is perceptible. I bought July ' 09 new and it came pre-installed with Vista on it. I think this is the tool I used to remove McAfee on this; It also came with Norton as an alternative option and both have been removed using their tools to uninstall BitDefender installation instructions walked me through the location and the removal of two of them before installing BitDefender on the computer. My user account is configured as an administrator, but when I right click on programs with the shield of the UAC on them, I'm not running as an administrator. The UAC slider is set at the 2nd ranked (by default); but I do not know how it was listed previous, I wondered about moving down one notch (but he advises not and I don't want to spoil anything).

  • UAC Patcher with limited user account

I am referring to a section of documentation:

'Control (UAC) correction (Windows) user accounts' located at

    http://msdn.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/Windows/desktop/aa372388%28V=vs.85%29.aspx

I am interested especially in the part:

"If the application was installed on Windows XP, the application must also have been installed from removable media, like a CD-ROM disc or DVD. This restriction does not apply if the application has been installed on Windows Vista. »

I heard a rumor that this restriction has been removed in Windows Installer 4.0. The source of this rumor:

    http://StackOverflow.com/questions/11048166/LUA-patching-an-application-not-installed-from-removable-media-XP

Is this true? I couldn't find any changelog Windows Installer. I have found that it's a ( http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa372796%28v=vs.85%29.aspx ), but there is no direct comparison between 3.1 and 4.0. There is only the comparison associated 5.0 it.

If this rumor is true and restriction of installation from removable media in Windows XP has been removed, then I would like to know, what should I do now. I already install applications to client machines only with Windows Installer 3.1. Is it necessary to uninstall my applications to client machines, then install Windows Installer 4.0 (or 4.5) and then again install my apps? Or is it enough to install only Windows Installer 4.0 and apply the patch created by Windows Installer 4.0?

  • enable uac

I ran the Microsoft fix Center because I think someone tries or has some control over my pc. When I open the browser, it shows my preference for a city that I do not live and I have changed it several times. When I connect, it does the same thing. After you run Microsoft fix, it says that I need to enable UAC. I use another antivirus so I know why it is said the firewall does not work, but I am really worried about the UAC, because it says that my pc is accessible if it remains disabled. Could someone help me, please? Thanks to all those who have the time to help me.
