Unable to access computer because the account password for Windows Vista has been forgotten and don't have a password reset disk/hard to find ways to restore the system... Help please

Hello
I'm stuck on the screen on my computer for my Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit edition. The password to the user account has been lost, and now I am unable to access my computer. I don't have a created password reset disk so I can't reset the password. I searched these forums and seems the most effective way is to run a system restore to a time where I did have a password for my account. Fortunately for me, I did an automatic update of Windows that created a system restore point literally moments before I put the password, so I should be able to get access to my computer once I figured out how to get system restore to work. The advice I found on other forums do not seem to work, because I'm in my Windows vista operating system disc, but no screen is coming up with 'Repair your computer', which indicate the steps happen. I need assistance to find another way to run the system restore on boot menus/Vista/DVD CD. Thank you.

Go to Bestbuy or other PC shop. They can fix it for you. (Could I have so I am not allowed to post these alternative instructions.)

    Hi Martine regina,.

    We will not be able to reset the password by using the option repair; you will need password reset disk.

    For more information on the same, you can check the link below:

  • Windows vista has been updated, and then just went to black screen and the kind of start to restart all.

    It just seems to be a loop.

    Hi Linda,.

    Thank you for your response.

    Here are some steps that you can try in order to solve the problem.

    I suggest you to change the startup command sequence and select the hard disk. Then, follow the steps provided by Abdul R and an update with the results.

    If you still get the same error message, disable the floppy in BIOS drive and check.

    You can see the manual of the system manufacturer or contact the system manufacturer for more information on how to make the changes in the BIOS.

    Note: changes to the BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

    My computer caught a SERIOUS virus that damaged my beta Windows Vista together. So I've upgraded to Windows 7, however, I have not the key product for Windows Vista or 7. Is it possible to set this up with Windows Vista or 7 because my product key for computers, which was at the back of it, has been erased or worn. There is no name on the back of my laptop sticker saying what product key to use. Thank you!

    What virus? How did you know you had it? You run an anti-virus
    the program? Which one? Is it updated? Why don't you use not to
    remove the virus?

    So I had to upgrade to Windows 7,

    Ugh! The upgrade to a different version of Windows does not remove a virus. In
    did the upgrade when you have a problem is always a bad
    thing to do and will be much more likely to make the problem worse than in
    solve it.

    However, I have not the key product for Windows Vista or 7.

    Where have you upgraded to Windows 7? Upgrade to a
    legitimate version Windows7 is a bad thing, but if you went to one
    a pirated version, it is likely to cause additional problems and you
    are probably in trouble now and need to clean install a
    copy legitimate of some versions of Windows.

    Is there a way to set up in Windows Vista or 7 because
    my product key for computers, which was at the back of it, has
    has been deleted or worn. There is no name on the back of my
    laptop computer sticker saying what product key to use. Thank you!

    The product key on the back of your laptop is for what version of
    Windows it came with and may not be used for all other versions. If you
    don't have a product key for Vista or Windows 7, the laptop
    no doubt supplied with XP. Is this correct?

    If it came with XP, it is very old and it is almost certainly elsewhere
    low power for Windows 7. In addition the drivers you need for Windows
    7 there are almost certainly not, and you will not be able to run
    Windows 7 on it.

    At this point, you are probably in trouble no matter what you do. You
    must reinstall Windows XP itself, but you no longer have your
    product key and you probably haven't a Windows XP CD no more. You
    can try to ask the manufacturer of the laptop to a XP CD and product
    key, but I doubt if you can get at this late date.

    You can buy a copy of Windows 7, but once, you are likely in a way
    low power for the drivers you need and it will be unavailable.

  • I believe that when I had my computer reset Windows Vista has been removed from the system due to my computer with a virus. Now, I need to know how can I do to restore Windows Vista in my system?

    Vista recovery media obtain and/or use the Partition Recovery Vista on your computer to the factory settings .

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Also ask them if it is possible to make the recovery disk/s since the Partition of recovery in case of hard drive failure or System Crash when you're back running.

    They will tell you how to do this.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.
    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.
    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
  • I have windows vista Home premium, but I don't have an installation cd and the custom of counting recover anything without the cd
    I don't know what to do, I can ask a Vista Edition installation cd Home premium of the company.
    I don't know wat to do.
    I want to install windows all over again but I don't have the disc, but I have the product key and much more,
    What should I do
    Hello
    There are several methods to reinstall Vista.
    There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.
    You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.
    They should do this for a small fee.
    To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:
    You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:
    How to change the Boot order in BIOS:
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm
    "How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246
    And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.
    The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)
    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.
    Ask them to the proper key sequence.
    And if you do not score a manufacturer of recovery on your hard drive, you should be able to make your own recovery from her disks to reinstall the operating system.
    Go to programs > name of the manufacturer of your computer > then their system or recovery tools software topics for them, depending on how it is formulated.
    If you can't find any reference to it, contact the manufacturer for advice on how to make these recovery disks.
    Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.
    If this happens, you may need to try this instead:
    You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.
    Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.
    And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs
    Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:
    "How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html
    And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.
    And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.
  • I need to reinstall Windows Vista home Premium, but I don't have it on the disc, I got a serial number.
    I've upgraded to windows 7, the upgrade requires a previous version of windows must be installed before it can be used.
    When I installed the upgrade first, it worked perfectly, unfortunately I do not have a set of recovery discs before upgradeing from Vista to 7 (stupid I know!).
    I bought the components to upgrade my PC and want to reinstall windows, but cannot without Windows Vista Home Premium disc, and I can't find anywhere to download them, or find someone willing to let me copy their discs (I only need a copy discs, I have my own serial number).
    True to form, I also forgot to make disks of backup to my laptop before it got a virus (edition windows Home premium), feeling very stupid.
    If anyone knows where I can get copies of these discs, it would releive a lot of stress.
    That you have a legable Vista product key, then use these installation files to make a .iso and then bootable DVD/USB as shown here:
    http://en.community.Dell.com/support-forums/software-OS/w/microsoft_os/Microsoft-Windows-and-Microsoft-Office-downloads.aspx
    This will install Windows Vista with the activation of the phone. Note using your Windows 7 update product key directly with the good Windows 7 .iso file directly should work and you should not need to install Vista. You can, or perhaps not to activate by phone.
    When you are prompted to save CheckSUR, choose to not run it.
    When the download is complete, close all open programs and browsers.
    If the installed antivirus is Firewall Norton/McAfee party or a 3rd is used, then suggest you first boot system configuration before you run it.
    NOTE: In the clean boot state will be disabled all firewalls of part 3. Ensure that the native Vista firewall is now enabled - enable Windows Firewall on or off
  • Unstable AE after rendering, have to start cold computer because the system becomes unstable. Help please!
    Hello world.
    I have a laptop Intel i7 Toshiba Qosmio with 12 GB of RAM, a 3 GB Nvidia graphics card.  Two 750 GB HARD drives.  Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium edition.
    I had to convert a video (in AE) of my camcorder Sony QuickTime then moka he could follow.  The file size was 12 GB.  I motion tracking with Mocha video 3000 frames have been followed.  I have completed my project and when I go to make it takes about 15 or more minutes to return, but after the rendering of the entire system is completely unstable and requires a cold start.  It makes the video fine, but the computer is unstable.
    I was looking at the use of the RAM then that rendered and he used only about 15% of the 9 GB allocated for AE.
    AE CS6 version 11.0.4
    Can someone help me with this?  I uninstalled AE and reinstalled and there are always the same.  I have a small project, no less important than a case and it preformed fine. No problems.
    Is the size of the files of great for AE?  Could the movement followed with Mocha be a factor in the stability of EI?
    No idea which continues, please help me.
    Thank you.
    I think I solved it.  I created the new exact replica of my project that makes the computer unstable.  I made it another 2 times, it takes 3 minutes and the computer is 100% stable.
    So I think that the old project was corrupt or something because the new double that works perfectly.
    So I call it answered.  Thanks for all help, much appreciated.
  • My computer has been hacked and now I have chrome://weave in my passwords
    I used a wifi unprotected for about 3 days and now I have unknown for programs running and sometimes commond prompt boxes suddenly poping up and disappear. I'm not using the computer, and I'm trying to change all my passwords just in case. (not to get FF to remember)
    But there are names of users and passwords to strangers in my passwords synchronized. https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/questions/930340
    Does this mean the pirate has all my FF passwords and can access anywhere and anytime if I change them is sync?
    Should I create a new account to sync?
    Without a set of master password, it's pretty easy to have access to all the password stored, including the password for the account of the synchronization and the key of the synchronization.
    So it is always advisable to put a MP, especially if other people can access the computer.
    Earlier today, I was working on my mac and a notification popped up saying "AppleCare would like to view your screen". Since I didn't ask help or whatever it is I clicked on the decline. The message kept appearing for 5 times or more, whenever I clicked on the decline.
    A few minutes later I received an email saying that my phone number had been kidnapped to VoicePass. So I logged in my support profile and my phone number had indeed disappeared, replaced by another phone number. My address was also changed. I tried to delete the phone number and add new my phone number, but he wouldn't let me.
    My account has been compromised? I tried to contact apple, but I can't do, and the first call that I could program online is on Sunday.
    Thank you.
    Why were you not able to change the phone numbers on VoicePass? Did you change your password immediately Apple ID? I would recommend that do you if you have not yet.
