Unable to access the online folders or files in onedrive

Unable to access online files or files in Onedrive using IE11 and Chrome. Installation of Windows 7 Home premium. A long time ago I could access Skydrive OK.

Onedrive in Windows Explorer shows that the files are synchronized as the icon in the taskbar.

I can access everything very well within 8.1 of Windows on the same computer (dual boot).

I use ESET security, however, there is no change if I disable the firewall.

I can access the Onedrive page that displays the top Blue Ribbon, but none of the links in the Ribbon respond for example settings

Note that the two browsers have been used with the same result, so it seems to be a problem in Windows 7?

Well, it seems that it is a problem that is not dealt with quickly. The problem has been clearly in the windows kernel, transit for IE and Chrome browsers.

My solution was to replace the windows installation with an image of the previous system where the problem did not exist. If the cause of the problem was not understood.

This is a good example of a system image saved this day.

  • Unable to access the files from Windows 7 computer to Windows 8

    Hello

I have Word 2007 on two computers, and each has Windows 7 or 8.  I'm trying to share with homegroup.  My goal is to keep my documents on Windows 7 system and access the files (read and edit) the system of Windows 8. I don't want multiple documents, I want just one version.

After you open the docx Word read-only, I did some research and discovered that if I go to the file on the computer with Win7, made a right click on the file, then select residential group read/write, I would then be able to access the computer of Win8 file and edit and save it.  I was able to do this.

    OT: Word 2007 ReadOnly

To make sure that I could continue to do so, I tried again (by selecting the docx on the Win7 system since the system of Win8).  I received one copy read the second time.  What should I do to edit and save the Win8 computer capabilities, without having to physically run to the Win7 to allow access?

    Thank you

    Hi Reaper14,

    ·         The question is limited to this particular .exe file?

    ·         You can open other files very well?

If you are unable to open a .exe file, refer to the following article.

Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. • Machine Vista "frequently", but not always, ask user name and password to access the public folders on the XP machine.

    Location:

    4 x Vista computers
1 x XP computer acting as a server file, all the data in the "shared folders".

All 4 Vista computers were to access shared data on the XP machine for two years without problem. All of a sudden this week one of the Vista computers "Frequently" but not always ask for a username and password to access the machine XP - not only shared folders, but still a list of shared resources on the machine XP via my network places is the result in the box of "connect to" request credentials to appear. All 3 other Vista machines have no problem to access the XP machine, so the problem must be with the a Vista machine.

To put a spanner in the works as I have said in this case "Frequently" and by that I mean probably 9 of the 10 connection attempts. Let's say, you can see the name of the computer in my network places, you double click it and have asked for credentials, cancel the attempt and to repeat 4 or 5 times and then you could get display shared resources without going into the details of connection. For a few minutes, you might be able to access all the shared data and to navigate through the folders, but then all of a sudden have asked you credentials and can not access to anything, even the files accessed you seconds before.

Lets say you are able to access the shared folders, you navigate to the Parent folder, then under A folder, then a subfolder B, go back to A notebook, then try to access folder B even once and you get guest credentials, quit out of the network completely locations, navigate back to the XP via Network Places and this machine you not even be able to display all the shared resources on the XP machine.

I've also set up a shared folder on a Vista machine with matching username and password on the machines and the Vista machine with the get the problem exactly the same problem so this definatley Vista machine with the question and not sharing files on the XP machine.

What antivirus you have installed before? Is the virus/malware-free system? If you have a current antivirus installed and you went through at least some of the malware removal steps I list in the link I have given if you are sure that the system is clean, uninstall McAfee and see if that solves your problem. If you connect to the Internet behind a router, you can be sure for this quick test. If you are connected directly to a cable/dsl modem, then firstly download Avast or even Microsoft Security Essentials (both free). Then, disconnect from the Internet and uninstall McAfee. Install the antivirus of your choice and test. If all goes well, your problems have been caused by McAfee. This is not surprising since McAfee is perhaps the worst choice for safety, we could do.

If you had any antivirus installed before McAfee, then you must go through all stages of thorough removal of malware listed in the my link before anything else. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!
