Unable to burn the DVD in Windows 7

Original title: I make a DVD with pictures and audio files, but I can't burn the DVD. It has worked 3 years ago but not anymore.

I've added 486 photos and 15 different audio files and preview plays very well, but the DVD hangs up and I get an error at the end.

Hi Jeff,

It would help if you could answer these questions in order to troubleshoot.

-What software do you use to burn the DVD? Is - this Windows DVD maker?

-What error message you receive?

If you use Windows DVD maker to create a DVD, and then try the steps mentioned in http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Troubleshoot-problems-with-creating-a-DVD-Video-using-Windows-DVD-Maker

If you use another software to burn the DVD, so please contact them to get the issue fixed.

  • M30X MultiDrive won't burn a DVD from Windows Movie Maker

    Hello

My MultiDrive M30x will not burn the DVD from Windows Movie Maker and other applications.

I also had problems with burning CDs (unbranded) of Windows XP, built in utility.

The multidrive has problems with cheaper brand discs?

    Just to note,
The laptop was to support guys three times until various issues.
    (1) the hard drive failed.
    (2) the multidrive has failed.
    (3) the motherboard replaced, due to power outages, it would not charge the battery, or recognize that the AC adapter is plugged.

Note: The hard drive, not the fan made the most noise in mine!

    Thank you

    Hello

As far as I know (i.e. pre-installed burning software Save now, drag-and - drop) disabled the option of Windows XP burning. In this case if you want to use the Movie Maker or Windows media player burning option, you need to activate this possibility.
Please, go to the properties of the drivers (right click). Please select the recording tab. CD recording option on this drive must be marked.
I use the software Nero burning and in my opinion he of one of the best burning programs. In addition, you should try different manufacturers CD/DVD because some CD and DVD is not compatible with some readers. Check the TDK CD and DVD. I never had no problem with these media.

    Best regards

    Hi Barbara,

You can use the player to burn a mixture of songs from the library of the drive or your computer to an audio CD, after which you can play the CD in any standard CD player. Alternatively, you can burn files on CD and DVD data. It is not possible to burn the live streams, such as radio stations, on a CD or a DVD.

  • How can I burn a DVD in Windows Media Center with the closed captioning information included?

I recorded a program in Windows media center.  When I read the program, it displays the closed captioning information.  If I burn a DVD program closed captioning information do not display during playback.  How can I burn the DVD to include captioning?

    Hello

    1. How do you try to burn the DVD? You have saved the DVD on the desktop (hard drive) or you burnt before you save it to a DVD?
    2. after are burning the DVDs in which application you trying to play?

I suspect that the captions are already burned in DVD, at this point in time we can cross check if the option is set to display captions.
To enable or disable subtitles for DVD
    a. on the Windows Media Center start screen, navigate to tasks, click settings, click DVD and then click subtitle.
    b. click the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons to select power off or when cut, and then click Save.

For more information, refer to the article below.

  • Can't burn data DVD on Windows Media Player

So, the thing is, in the drop-down list on Windows Media Player, where it is supposed to be written 'CD or data DVD' in the 'Burn' section, there is only the option "data CD". PS: I don't have that 1 driver CD/DVD in my PC.
