Unable to connect 2.4 Ghz on home network

Get a message that I can't connect to my network of 2.4 GHz, but I am able to connect to the network of 5 Ghz I have Verizon FiOS and I use their Quantum gateway router. Verizon configures the router to separate systems 2.4 and 5 GHz with different names. In recent days, I noticed that I can't connect to the network 2.4 GHz. I rebooted the router a few times. I applied the 10.11.6 updated so I think that this could be linked to the who. Why go to the slower network? My printers are connected to the 2.4 GHz network and for some reason, when I go to the 5 GHz network printers go offline (this not is is when Verizon pushed update firmware to separate networks). So to print I need to switch networks. Also noticed that access to some hardware Plug devices only when I'm on the same network as them. Lots of questions here but hoping someone can help get at least my mac to back on the network of 2,4 GHz. thanks in advance.

Tom

FWIW, I also have FiOS and I have been on 5 GHz since its release. I just tried 2.5 GHz and now I can't connect to it either. Might be time for a call to Verizon.

  • Satellite Pro L50 - B - unable to connect at 5 GHz Wi - Fi

    Hello

I just bought a new Satellite Pro L50 - B and it is unable to connect to the wifi of my company 5 GHz network. It connects well to the 2.4 GHz network, but poor performance on network thaat there.

Is it possible to get the L50 - B to work in the 5 GHz range?

    Thank you

    Martin

    Frequency of 5 GHz is supported by 802.11 A and 802.11 N
But if the WLan module is not compatible 802.11 A, then the standard 802.11 N will operate at 2.4 Ghz

The question is: what are the standards WLan are supported by the integrated WLan module?

    Which module WLan is integrated?

I have a T410 of work that can not connect to my wifi at home. He has worked in the past, but now he's going to connect to my router but will be no internet or say limited connectivity / No.. It is a work computer, so there may be a few firewall issues (I am able to work from home, so it should be allowed).

If this is detailed in another post please direct me.

  • Unable to connect my P1102w printer to my network wireless (using Mac OS 10.6)

I have a home network wireless vanilla (D-Link to a cable modem) and a MacMini running OS 10.6.8. My Mac laptop and 4th. GEN iPad work seamlessly. But my attempt to long hours to connect my new HP P1102w network was totally frustrating, despite a careful study of the documentation pdf, device/self test the printer configuration sheet, sailing on this forum, I'm looking at a slew of videos YouTube/HP and following all sorts of directions.

The only consolation is the printer works fine on USB connection.

Here are a few questions I met and that stopped me in my tracks:

Carefully following both instructions pdf and video operating instructions online to HP, I get by step 6 w / no problemn. but then I go to step 7, which says:

"Under the Mode of Communication , Infrastructure -click, select your network SSID from the list of names of the network (SSID)" and then click on the button. ""

Problem is that there is nothing in this window. What I see is a State of the Wireless: enable or disabled (according to choice). And even if I try to select enabled, happening right now for people with reduced mobility. Aside: I note that the printed instructions show a copyright date of 2011. It's ancient history in the world of the CPU.

Other issues: the single IP address I can find for the printer is the IPv4 address, but it is only for direct printing Configuration. What is the IP I'm looking for?

Address of the printer hardward, I suppose, is your MAC? Boy, I sure could use better use of language here.

So, needless to say, I'm stuck. It seems that it takes THAT hard, but so far nothing that I could find on the HP support or forums seems to help. Thanks for any advice you can provide.

PS. I wouldn't go back this printer because I am a lover of HP printer, two decade, but alas, I might have if I can't find a solution.

    John Northwest

    Dear Gemini02,

Thanks a lot for your helpful answer. It seems very complete, and I'm happy to give it a status of resolved problem, although I have not yet tried.  The reason is, one day before receiving your message, I benefited from technical support from HP that came with the guarantee of my printer (Oh!) I would have called them first before going on the forums. Lesson learned) and they took me in hand.

I quickly reached a support person surprisingly knowledgeable and helpful tech (work of the night in Manila, PI shift), and I quickly accepted allow access remotely to my Mac and printer. For much of the next hour she practically held my hand as she walked through a fairly complex set of steps (very similar to yours) and here!, the problem has been resolved. She later sent me the steps she helped me through, as follows:

    Hello

    1. are you trying to connect to the home or public network?
    2. what version of Windows are you using?
    3. you receive an error message trying to connect to the network?
    4. What is the brand and model of the computer?
If you try to connect to the home network, contact the Internet service provider and make sure that the Internet service is activated.

If you try to connect to the public network, try the following methods.
    Method 1:
Wi - Fi and in Windows network connection issues.

Method 2: Temporarily disable the security software.
    Disable the anti-virus software

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks

  • HP Deskjet 3050 - unable to connect to the WPA secure wireless network

    Hello

My first post here so please excuse any misstep on my part.  I bought this HP Deskjet 3050 a week ago and have since been war with it.  I would be really grateful if someone could possibly give advice on how I can solve this problem.

I am unable to connect the printer to my secure wireless network, even if the other computers, cell phones, etc. are connected without problem.  I tried WPA, WPA2 and WPA2-Mixed modes with the same failure security. Specifically, the 66% reached Connection Wizard, then displays the error that the wizard can not find/network printer.  If I disable the security, the printer connects very well.

I use a Linksys WRVS4400N router with firewall and associated firewall disabled settings.  The router broadcasts on 802. 11 g / N mixed mode.

I install the software provided on the CD for installation on a Windows XP SP3 System.  I confirmed that the PC and the printer are connected to the network are the same.

The issue as well, if you will allow me: I have not yet tried these drivers, but I see there are any updated drivers for the printer in date from 14/12/2010.  The release notes indicate the improvement of networks, but do not develop beyond that.  Does anyone know if there was a known problem with the connection to secure networks that has now been corrected?

Finally, just a note that I am partially blind and using a screen on all systems reader.  I'll try my best to be as helpful as I can to please forgive me if I can't find the settings, etc. on screen and sometimes need help for a little more detail.

Thanks in advance for your help, I really enjoyed.

    Have a nice day,

All the best for now and take care,

    Hussein.

It is not the fact that it is impossible, is the fact that this was not done, yet.

    Hello

first of all, my apologies for the delay getting back to you.  Poor health means that I had little time or want to do great thing on the side of the computer of htings.

In any case, I am please to say the problem with the HP 3050 failing to connect to my network is now resolved.  There seems to be a bug with the installer, and that seems to include the version the most recent publication Dec 2010.

To resolve this problem, I did the following:
    1. disable all security for the network options, so it's just an open network.
    2. connect the HP 3050 to the network by using the installation wizard. This time it connected OK for me.
    3. Locate the IP address of the printer.  I used the table of customer list accessed by my router interface. You may be able to get this through the printer on the menu screen, but as I am partially blind, it wasn't an option for me.
    4. Enter the control panel of the printer to http://ip.address.of.printer for example http://192.168.2.108
    5. under Advanced options, configure the network settings, including the password and the Security Protocol.  Don't forget to enter the SSID of the network exactly as it is configured on the router.
    6. apply settings, disconnect from the control panel of the printer.
7 log in the router configuration panel and re-apply the security options.  Make sure they match these match those entered for the printer.

I hope it will be useful to others in the same position.

    Thanks again for your time.

    Best,

    H.

  • Unable to connect to Essbase server through smartview - network error

    Hello

I installed and configured 11.1.2.3 EMP:

    APS - Windows Server

    Essbase Server - Linux

I tested the connection between the Regional and Essbase service Console and it works fine,

When I tried to connect via SmartView Essbase I got the following error message:

«Unable to connect to the server of Essbase.» "Error: Essbase Error (1042003): [11001] network error: impossible to retrieve the information of the name of [EssbaseCluster-1].

I will be very happy for suggestions,

    Thank you

    Yuval

    The problem has been resolved.

I discovered that it was with Linux server, I could configure the Essbase server from Windows server to Windows server while it was certainly the problem of Linux.

To solve it, I had to re - install Linux server, I configured the Essbase server and she succeeded. I don't know what was the reason for the issuance of the periphery, but I guess that there is a missing package installed on Linux server and this cause of the wrong configuration.

  • Unable to connect via radio - impossible to obtain network address

    All,

I had to restore this laptop due to virus problems (my daughter system..).  I have put back it and it works except that I am unable to connect to the wireless network.  It says 'Acquiring Network Address' and goes then to the "Limited or no connectivity."

    Here are the details:

    System:

    Inspiron 1300 - XP Pro SP2

Dell Wireless 1370 WLAN Mini-PCI Card

    Parameters:

o use Windows to configure the verified wireless network

o in Dell Wireless Utility, unchecked "let this tool manage your network."

    o WZC: start & automatic

o TCP/IP: Obtain IP automatically and obtain DNS automatically

    I took action:

o reloaded all drivers available for my service tag, including the pilot for

    the network card

o went through all the Dell relevant troubleshooting steps

o I have a different laptop that connects to the wireless network and I

compared the parameters between the systems of work and non-working - they

seem to be the same (another pc and card)

o the 'bad' system can connect to the network via ethernet cable

The status bar displays the network icon (pc screen) with yellow trinangle and!

and 5 green bars for the network card has an excellent signal with unknown status.

I'm not clear on the question of whether Windows or the utility of the card should be network management; I tried both to no avail.  I'm basically out of options to try and hoping someone can help me.

Please let me know if there are any additional necessary information.

Thank you in advance for your help!

  • HP spectrum 13 Ultrabook: Unable to connect at 5 GHz wireless

    Hello

Is it possible for this ultrabook, the product F4A22PA number #AB4, connect to a 5 GHz wireless network? Because currently, it cannot 'see' the 5 GHz home wireless network while all my mobile devices can. Is it a hardware problem or a software problem?

    Thank you.

    Hello:

Here is the link to the product for your laptop.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c04015688

Next section of wireless connectivity, I see an Intel 802.11b/g/n with card Wireless Smart Connect (2 x 2) technology listed.

Whenever you see a card with a suffix of bgn wireless, it means that it is a single card band (2.4 GHz) only.

A dual band Wireless N card has a suffix abgn or agn.

That is why you cannot connect to the band of 5 GHz with your laptop.  The card is only designed to connect to the 2.4 GHz band.
