Unable to connect 2 external monitors via the Port Replicator using Portege Z30 - 16U

Hi all

I need hell, I just moved from another laptop for Portege Z30 - 16U, I spent hours trying to connect my 2 external monitors to my Replicator Port Hi-Speed III 120W, but my laptop will see a monitor.

I used 2 external monitors with my laptop for years because I do a lot or reading and I don't want to use the one and the laptop screen.

I tried the mixture of a VGA and a HDMI and VGA cables, but nothing works.

Can anyone tell me how I can connect and discover 2 external monitors with this laptop and port replicator, I can't believe that this is not possible, it makes no sense that Toshiba would then technilogically behind other laptop manufacturers.

Thank you

Liga

Hello

I'm not familiar with the Z30 Portreplicator, but the general behavior of the replicators of the double-displayconnector, is that 1 can be used.
Not 2 simultaneously.

I could be wrong, and you should easily be able to check it out - use only 1 at a time.
First, then the other.
If the two works when used alone, then my suspicion is right.

I hope this helps!

  • Problems with an external monitor with the Port Replicator III and M100

    Hey all.

I just returned from a trip where I took my laptop. Plugged into the Port Replicator port, started and everything was fine. Then after an hour or two, the monitor stopped receiving a signal. I repositioned the laptop and everything was good again. He then loses signal once again, and I was not able to get a signal via the port replicator since.

The monitor works fine through the hole at the rear of the M100.

I checked the pins on the Port Replicator port and portable, none folded and tried to clean any dust etc. Still no signal to the monitor.

Someone has ideas of how to do to solve this problem?

  • Satellite P750 - unable to connect an external display via the VGA port

    Hi all

    My problem is the following:

I tried to connect my P750 (running on W7 x-64) an external display using the VGA cable port. Unfortunately, these devices recognize my phone. Laptop does not recognize the external display, you can see in the graphics settings as additional display, but the screen shows "no signal".

The computer always identifies the screen correctly, so it seems that there is communication from the screen to the PC, but not the reverse.

This has been verified with 3 separate screens and television - still the same. All the screens work properly with the other PC.

    I already have:

-try to play with FN + F5 / "windows" + buttons P - no change
-install the latest drivers BIOS and video site Web from Toshiba - no change

Suggestions how to operate? Is it possible that the VGA port is faulty?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello

You have the same problems with a HDMI output port?
Usually, you don't need to change anything to get the external monitor works.
Press Fn + F5 several times until the monitor RGB (VGA) was selected
Since you can choose an HDMI output too, you should pay attention to this option.

Have you tried to change the resolution before using the Fn + F5?
    It s worth a try

Last but not least, you could set the default BIOS (press F9 BIOS and save the changes by pressing F10). But I don't very well if the BIOS contains some parameters of port RGB (VGA) m

  • Connect external monitor via the VGA port > > BSOD

    Hi all

I have a laptop Acer Aspire V3-772 and I had an (obvious) problem. When I connect an externel to my VGA port my laptop freezes. After that I restarted my laptop (still connected to the monitor via the VGA input) I get the following BSOD:

    video_tdr_failure igdkmd64.sys

This error I've read on the internet has nothing to do with the video card intel. On this laptop, there intel 4600 internal videocard. There is also a second video card which is geforce gtx 760 m.

I updated my system completely and everything works fine. Except the VGA port.

I tested my HDMI port that works correctly, open the same screen/monitor connected via the VGA input it freezes / BSOD.

One give me advice on what could be the cause?

is this hardware or software really? I think that the software. In any case I'll try to install the older version of the video card driver intel. I'll post if it works.

I would like to have some advice on this issue.

    Thank you!

Thanks for your reply. I tried already. HDMI works very well but even VGA displayport monitor (so double male vga cable) causes system hang still > BSOD.

I did a factory reset. Same result.

    Conclusion... Its a hardware problem.
I'll contact support so they can pick up my laptop for repair.
I lost my weekend for this problem.

I'll change this topic as resolved since it's associated mobo (intel grappics card).

    Hello

There is no way to connect an external cable monitor such that HDMI port is entered only.

Your only solution would be to use the wireless display option in the settings, but you would need a monitor/TV/adapter that would work as a Miracast receiver.  I'm not sure specific screens that function as receptors, but I used adapters are the PTV3000 Netgear and Actiontec SBWD100A01,.

    I hope this helps.

  • Satellite P100: Can I connect two external monitor to the VGA & DVI port at the same time?

Satellite P100 comes with two port external monitor. One VGA and one DVI. Can you have two external monitor works at the same time? Can you have two external monitor as well as your internal screen working at the same time (for a total of 3 screen at the same time?

    Here's what I confirm:

Internal display + display DVI connector
    OR
Internal display + screen VGA connector

    Is it possible to have:

Display connector DVI + VGA connector display?

    OR

Display connector DVI + VGA connector screen + internal display?

As far as I know, this is not possible and you can use a DVI or VGA port.
Output signal can be used only a single port for external monitor.

  • Portege M200: big screen via the port replicator

I have a Portege M200 with APR III. I realized that the DVI Jack does not work with it, even if for some reason any, even though they are not supposed to all other ports don't. EACH of them!

What I'm asking today is how the hell can I get the laptop out on the big screen through the APR? I tried everything, it has the chipset nVidia go 5200 FX (which is able to output DVI according to nVidia)

I just got a Philips 20 "widescreen TFT and got tired of watching her in the stretched standard resolutions.

One of my friends has also Tosh lappy, but it's a Tecra 9100, which will be released on the big screen without any questions whatever it is standard, it appears as an option in the Billboard settins. In addition, nVidia say that this chipset is capable of custom resolutions, but I can't find it in the updated anywhere driver.

    Can anyone help?

    Hello

Well the Tecra9100 is not a Portege M200. Are completely different books.
The M200 protected does not support these interfaces.
This is a technical limitation, that the port of mouse PS/2 keyboard PS/2 port, serial port, I Link (Firewire) port and DVI port
will be not supported on the Advanced Port Replicator III, if a protected M200 is moored.

The following ports are supported and can be used:
Line-in Jack, taken Line-out, USB port, port external monitor, parallel port, taken Modem, LAN jack, DC IN 15V, housing for security lock, locking the computer.
In the documentation for the Advanced Port Replicator III is a 'fact sheet for III Advanced Port Replicator"sheet where this limitation is descripted.

  • Unable to connect to a website via a port

    Hello!

First of all, my router is a Linksys BEFSR41 ver4.2

    As for my problem:

Until two days ago, I had no problem connecting to

    http://www.mysite.com:2082

But now when trying to go to it, I get the following message in my browser:

    ----
If you are not behind a firewall that blocks port 2082
    Enter here

If you are behind a firewall and cannot connect to port 2082
    Enter here
    -----

No matter where I click, it exports me at my normal www.mysite.com/index.php

Well, then, here's the program installation and what I have tried:

-I'm on a LAN with 3 computers connected to my router. I tried on all 3 computers and the same thing happens.

-J' tried specifically allowing 2082 port in my firewall on all 3 computers, and the same program.

-Disable my firewall gives me the same screen (all 3 computers)

-Reset my router (release the button Reset full minute for good measure) and the same thing happens.

-Plug in my cable modem directly to one of my computers (the router to remove from the equation) ŒUVRES, even without specifically allow ports in my firewall.

To the best of my knowledge, no parameter or anything have changed 2 days ago (or never, as far as the router is concerned).

Now, this happened 2 days ago was my host that hosts www.mysite.com had to undergo an emergency maintenance.  It is on this problem at startup.

Of course, I made contact with them, and they say that there is nothing wrong at their end.  I can access my site via ftp or ssh.

I asked one of my friends to try to go to his own computer and it works for him.

Since my host said that everything is fine on their end and since it worked for my friend, and since he does NOT work for me on any of my 3 computers, even with a firewall disabled, and since it DOES not work on any of my 3 computers if I connect them directly to a modem (without router) I can only imagine that it's something to do with my router.

When I bought it originally, I didn't have to install anything.  Site indicates that the current drivers for Win Vista are compatible with it. I just plugged it in, and it worked.  Reset (in the off-chance that some setting has been changed somehow) did not work.

Then... I'm kind of at a loss.  It seems to work very well for any other site that I shall, on any of my 3 computers.  I can even go to www.mysite.com/whatever, but not with a specific port (even once, I checked that I was using the right port, contacted my host, etc...).

So... What does anyone have any suggestions as to what is happening?

Nope. Tried that.  I did not mention that reset my router.  I forgot to mention that I've updated my firmware when I did, as well.  When I was checking to ensure that on the linksys site that pilots were correct, etc...

But for the record, I think it was really a kind of problem on my host server.  A few hours after I posted this, I found that my host was all about xfering to a new server.

All my stuff is on a new server with a new IP address and everything, and I can once again connect to www.mysite.com:2082

So... given my friend (a couple of friends in different places, in fact) was able to connect to it, but I could not, and since it seems to work for me now (on the new server), I am forced to assume that the tech support guys I talked to my host was unable to check something, or whatever.  To be honest, I doubt that it has verified anything.  He probably read up to the part where I mentioned how it seemed to work if I take my router of the equation and just jumped on it.

What I personally think happened was when everything that has passed, I continued to try to open a session, but it kept failing to connect, even though I know that I was typing my stuff from the head.  I think perhaps the part of the server that is running the script of checking or what was down, due to their move stuff or whatever and I eventually trigger some kind of IP ban on some level or something, I don't know.  I don't really know how it works, but it's the best I can get to, given all the facts here...

So I guess that fixed problem.  Don't know if there is a button somewhere to mark I don't know that some mod can do.

  • How to connect an additional monitor for the gateway all-in-one?

Hello you all, I have a question I hope you a lot more smarter computer people can help me with. I have a friend who has a gateway all in one model #-ZX4931. It has a VGA port on the back. It has been also updated for Windows 10. I'm house sitting and dog looking for her in a few weeks

I want to plug the additional monitor which by the way, it's a Dell (sorry) to work on a project I'am doing right now. I try to use the screen that she has on the All In One and I didn't like how my project came out looking

I see on the back of its All In One, it has a VGA port. I Google several times and different words from Google, which told me that you cannot plug an additional external monitor for all in one PC, so I'm confused as to why there is a VGA port, if you couldn't plug the external monitor

in any case, can someone please help me and give me details on how to connect an external monitor, in addition to its gateway all in one model #-ZX4931

Looking at your specific model, I think you can try to connect an external monitor via the VGA port.

Once you have connected the secondary monitor using the VGA port, press control + p and main Windows logo if you are able to extend or clone your desktop.

  • Bad resolution of Qosmio G30 - external display via the HDMI connection-

Hello! This problem makes me crazy, please help if you can...

I just bought a G30-102 and I am trying to use it with an external display via the HDMI connection. The problem I have is that the native resolution of 1920 x 1200 cut the edges of the screen and the quality looks terrible - its almost as if the entire screen is enlarged. I tried with a BenQ FP241wz initially (1080i is 1920 x 1200) and the Toshiba helpline could not find a solution either - even after painfully reinstall all the drivers, etc..

Its been going on for so long, I thought I'd try it out with my HDTV instead, just to be sure it wasn't a monitor problem. So I tried with my Toshiba 32WLT66 - and come to find that it has exactly the same problem.

All the display settings appear to be correct and the G30 is convinced that the result is correct, so I have now it is - don't you think not that this is a problem with my HDMI port?

Please help, I'm a designer, and it is essential that I use the machine on a large screen. If it is a hardware of the G30 problem, I need to talk to Toshiba immediately replace or fixing.

    Hello

I tested the Qosmio G30 (HD-DVD) with my LCD TV using a HDMI cable. Everything worked perfectly. As a first step, I put 1080i value in the settings of the BIOS and after following the instructions in the HDDVDGuide document under http://support.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB6A01LH000LR01.htm
