I'm so unable to connect to the internet?

    Hello.

I'm so unable to connect to the internet.

Since I've renamed our WiFi network and add a WEP key, I have problems with wireless connection on my
Windows XP computer desktop, which is a Dell Dimension 4700.

The questions that I get connection are...

"windows could not find a certificate to log on the network.

    "Limited or no connectivity."

I did all the solutions I could try to fix the connection problem!

    1. once I received the message "limited or no connectivity", I click with the right button on the connection and click on repair. It is not always connect for me and I got the "limited or no connectivity message.»

    2. then, I disabled the network connection and then enabled. That no longer works.

    3. I tried to withdraw from the ordered list of connections, and it still doesn't work.

    4. I checked the driver manager, and initially the Ethernet driver was outdated and missing of its pilot. He had a yellow question mark with a black sign and yellow with an exclamation mark inside.

    5. I used DriverZone, downloaded the driver, installed and rebooted the computer after the installation of the it. Apparently, it worked. But I could not always connect.

6 I have ensured that I entered the correct WEP key, and then adjust the settings correctly. I did it like 10 times in a row and would not always connect.

    7. I tried to go to the command prompt and typed in IP Config/All and that's what I mean.

    Windows IP configuration
    Node type: unknown
    Active IP routing: no
    WINS proxy enabled: no
ETHERNET connection to the Local network card
State of the media: Media disconnected
Description: Intel PRO/100 VE Network Connection
Ethernet card 2 wireless network connection:
    Suffix the connection-specific DNS: (EMPTY)

    8. after that, I typed the command: ipconfig/release
and then I got this error...

No operations can be performed on the connection to the local network, although it has its media disconnected.

    9. after that, I tried Googling for some solutions, and the solutions I found were not any use.
    A solution was

    10. opening of Services...
    Start | Run | Type: services.msc | Click OK |
Scroll down to and double-click Client DNS | Set to automatic on startup
    type |
Click apply | Click the Start button | When it starts, click OK
Do the same for the DHCP Client.
Do the same for the remote procedure call (RPC).

    and it still doesn't work.

    11. when I look in the menu network connections, I see my connection with a lock on the side, with a red X under the lock and key. In the description, I see not connected, protected by a firewall. How could I remove the internet connection firewall? I disabled the firewall and that did not work.

    12. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the network card and who does not work either.

It is not the network itself that is the problem.  It is not the modem or the cable. There are no disconnected son or something like that. We have other computers in the House and the internet works fine on other computers. As I said, since I renamed our WiFi network and added a WEP password, I had problems with connecting to my Windows XP computer.

My computer has updates that must be installed as well. Updates would fix the problem? I just need to have internet.

What should I do? Thank you for your time.

    Sincerely,

    Justin

Have you tried to set the value of the link speed/duplex mode? I had the same problem you describe. Your card is only capable of 10/100 communication.

  • Can not solve the problem "Windows could not find a certificate...". ».

I read through all the posts related to "Windows could not find a certificate...". "but still failed to get a solution for my problem.

Well, I have no problem with the installation of this modem to router Wireless G ADSL2 + for both my notebooks of Vista, they work perfectly.

However, I have difficulties with 2 other computers that move on the XP version. This version XP 2 PCs sometimes show the connection of the signal very strong to my network and sometimes simply shows "Windows could not find a certicate to connect to the network.

Even when it indicates strong signal to my network connection, I can still surf the internet/LAN.  Where is the problem?

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks for the reply.

Nonetheless, I have chosen the way easier and solved the problem.

Connect the network cables for these 2 not for PC XP update and they work just as perfect as my other 2 portable VISTA wireless.

  • "windows could not find the directory"D:\user\my documents"."

    Hi all

a big problem, but explain firstly my setup
I have 4 discs 1 who's never been tied and still isn't so let's leave this one
I have therefore 3 discs left
    2SSDs and 1 HARD drive
1SSD contains my installation of windows, the other has a hackintosh installation, that will leave us out as well as it has nothing to do with it (the hackingtosh SSD)
so that leaves us 1SSD with windows and 1 HARD disk for data (1 TB)
During my first installation of windows, I didn't want my SSD to fill upward with the data, so for this reason that I moved the following folders on my HARD disk with letter path D:
    My documents
    My photos
    My music
    Downloads
    Desktop
all of them have been moved using the proper method to move a directory of windows
    Now...
Today, after turning off the computer, I unplugged the drive D: (HDD) and the SSD drive in order to bypass the need for a boot loader
and here's the problem, after doing what I wanted to do, I'm once again, shut down the computer properly, readers still disconnected
and then start reconnecting the SSD and HARD drive, both on the same site of the motherboard (although this should not matter)
Thus, quite, I start Windows again, and he goes on to say that the folder my documents and one more records are missing, despite the drive connected.
So I got start-> computer and check the drive and see if there's always my data
problem; the Player isn't here, but IT IS mounted in some way
in disk management, I'm going to understand what is happening, and disk management says there are only 100 MB "system reserved" partition NTFS
This was not the case before, he a full 1 TB for the data partition, nothing for wall system
I tried to mount the drive and finally managed to mount the system reserved partition by assigning a drive letter, however, when it opens, it does not contain anything
If anyone can, please help me
    Encryption algorithm

Disk 0 is my SSD that contains the windows installation, it has only 1 partition, System reserved partition has been somehow not on the SSD, but the disk HARD 1terra rather

And since it showed my 1 terra as unallocated space, I thought that I lost all the data out there, so with that, I simply decided to reinstall windows and live with him I guess

Seems to be a nasty bug if or should - not happen during the disconnection of the disks, and then reconnecting them?

    Thanks for your effort/response,

  • Unable to connect to a network or to the Internet on my Dell XPS1530.

Unable to connect to a network or to the Internet on my Dell XPS1530. When I try to diagnose problem, I get a message that reads "Network Diagnostics cannot run because the Diagnostics Policy Service is not running." Having exhausted the patience all the phone with my IP and Dell, which tells me that it is a problem of Microsoft software. I have two other computers and a PS3, and I am able to connect to the Internet through one any of them. The XPS works under Vista with SP2. Can someone help, please? Thank you.

Go to start / Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Services and go to diagnostic policy Service and set it to automatic and start it.  If it does not start, check the dependencies and make sure they're too automatic and rnning.  Then see if you can run Network Diagnostics.

You can get in trouble with your device drivers.  Go to Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  If you need to get drivers (and you should get those developed to date for the network card and regardless of the device you use to connect (such as a router wireless or such) and all you have time to do - they can help way beyond simply solve this problem), let the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  In fact, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows:http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/. Follow these steps to get the drivers: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm.  Once you have the drivers, you can install them via the Manager device as follows:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html.

When I'm in a lke your situation, I usually start from scratch.  Create a new network connection by ensuring that all settings are correct.  Check all the cables (if there is).  You have already reinstalled the drivers - make sure that no firmware or software is also necessary.  Configure the network sharing settings and make sure that you are ready to discover the network and such.  Check other computers to see their settings to make sure you get yours right and essentially the same thing (the same exatly so is another Vista machine connected in the same way).  Go to start / Control Panel / Internet settings and make sure that it's too fixed properly.  To connect, then try again. If this is not the case, remove some time to cool down and then start again with another new connection.  It's almost certainly a parameter that is not correcct (something no doubt very simple).

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!
