Unable to connect to L7580 on wireless network

Hello and thank you in advance for the help.  I'm on a Dell Precision 490 running XP Pro, version 2002, SP3 and recently connected to the network here at the office using a Netgear Wireless - N 300 PCI adapter.  I have Internet access so I know that the computer is in talks with the router, that is a Time Capsule from Apple.  We have a L7580 all-in-one already connected to the router via USB and printing from other computers, and I would like to print this Dell also.  The other computers are Macbooks which are plugged in and out of the network when users are in the office.  When I went to download and install the latest driver for the printer, I get as far as the configuration of the network window and it comes back to "no network printer not found.»  Then I click Next for assistance and I get a network connection window asking me to choose what type of connection I want to have the printer, but the printer is already connected!  I'm confused.  I tried to ping the router using the IP address provided by the configuration page of HP network that I printed from the printer, but it happens to expire several times and then says 100% loss, which doesn't look good.  I think mixing a PC with a Mac wireless system is probably not going to work, but I want to make sure before I have to run a long USB cable to the printer.  If I have not provided enough information, I will be happy to fill in the blanks.  Once again, much obliged for assistance.  See you soon.  . .

Thanks PrintDoc, turns out I have to not need to go there.  I tried a model list titled "HP OfficeJet LX' where I guess the X was for any series beginning with L and the Wizard completed, and I was able to print this page.  Back in the saddle.  Thanks again for all the help!

  • Satellite A300 - unable to connect to a local wireless network

    Hello

I have a question: bought a laptop two days ago, the wireless LAN doesn't work. It can detect the network, accepts the network key, he just used to connect.

    Help, please.

    Hello!

Have you checked the TCP/IP of the WLAN card settings?
I put t know the network configuration of the router, but if you are using DHCP you must use this mode or you set a static IP address.
    Check it!

Also, check if your wireless network card is recognized correctly in Device Manager and try to reset your router. This means that you must remove the router AC adapter and wait 5 minutes. Then plug the AC/DC adapter again.
Sometimes a firmware update might be useful too.

  • Unable to connect to ground or wireless network

I can't connect to my land or wireless network.  I tried to connect through my laptop to work and land / wireless worked as expected (e.g. problem is not with the router).  Previously, I was able to connect to the network via my computer at home.  Some information:

    1. I get the following message when I consult my network connections:

    "Connection status: unknown.

The dependency service or group was able to start. »

2 Windows cannot find any wireless networks in range.

I would appreciate any you can give troubleshooting tips!  Thank you.

    Hi Kelly1986,

    1. what happens when you try to connect by using wired connection?
    2. do you have security software installed on the computer?
    3. did you of recent changes on the computer?
    4. What is the error message when the service started?

First of all, I would say that check you what happens when you connect using the wired connection.

Check also in mode safe mode with Networking if you are able to connect to internet using wired connection.

Steps to start in safe mode with networking
1 restart your computer if it is running.
    2. press the F8 key after your initially on powers computer.
    3. Once you see the menu Advanced Startup Options , you can stop tapping.
    4. use the up/down arrow keys to highlight your selection.
    5. Select Safe Mode with network and pressenter.
    6. you should see loading drivers and wait please.
    7. you should then be at the Welcome screen.
    8. connect to your computer using an account with administrator privileges.

Start your computer in safe mode
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Restart the computer to return to normal mode

Disable the security software on the computer and try to start the service and check.

Important: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

If you still cannot start the try running SFC scan service that would have a search system files corrupted on the computer and replace them.

  • Unable to connect to a specific wireless network

I'm currently sitting in a café, connected to their wifi WPA2 with my MacBook.

I can not connect to the same network with my iPhone 4S. It just do not see it--other networks, Yes, but not the coffee. I tried to reset the iPhone; the other networks still appear, but not the one I want to join. I tried to connect manually several times with 'other '.... ', using my MacBook to check SSID and password of the wifi, but the iPhone says that it cannot find the network let alone accede.

It's a signal very strong: the wifi bars are entirely black in the menu bar of my MacBook. My iPhone can see half a dozen other wifi networks, including those where the router is not as tight as one that I am trying to connect. I can not not connect to others: either they are password protected, or require a customer relationship or are not worthy of trust.

    What is going on?

Just to add: I know that the standard Apple FAQ on connectivity issues iOS wifi; they are not a help here.

  • Printer Hp6700: unable to connect to the router wireless D - Link DI-514 when SSID Broadcast is set to no.

HP6700 printer: unable to connect to the router wireless D - Link DI-514 when the router Broadcast SSID is set to no. My MAC laptop and HP laptop both work with the set SSID on no. If I change the router Wireless SSID Broadcast is YES, then the printer HP6700 can connect to the wireless router. I set up the printer it saying that the SSID and password have been, the same as both of my laptops, but it connects ever, unless I have change the router to broadcast the SSID. Help!

Have you tried to update the firmware on the DI-514?

You can also try to set a static IP address on the printer, and then assign the printer to the list of DHCP static in the interface of the router.
To give a static IP address to your printer:
-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') 250
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the gateway.
-Enter for the first DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for second DNS. It's Google DNS. You can choose a different external DNS if you wish.
    -Click 'apply '.
Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

After that you remove and re - add the printer to your Mac.

    Hello

Check the firewall it is maybe it has been reset.

    In general.

Most laptops have a physical switch for the wireless card. Read the manual of the computer and make sure that the wireless adapter is on.

Check the Device Manager for the wireless card valid entry.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_dm.jpg

If there is no valid entry, remove any entry from fake and re - install the drivers for the wireless card.

Check network connections to make sure that you have a network icon/entry wireless connection, and that the properties of the icon (right-click on the icon) are correctly configured with the TCP/IPv4 protocol in the properties of network connections.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_connection_tcp.jpg

Make sure that if there is Wireless Utility a utility vendor is not running with the native Windows wireless utility.

Make sure you firewall No. preventing / blocks wireless components to join the network.

Above everything is OK and it connects to the wireless router. Log in from any computer which is, or can be connected to the router with a wire wireless, disable wireless security, make sure that the wireless streaming is enabled and try to connect with no. wireless security.

When the work turns on the Wireless security.

Note * people sometimes make mistakes in writing and retype the password for security.

Another way is to copy in the menu of the router and then paste it when asked of the wireless card.

    --------------------------------------------------

I really checked and configured every thing and it doesn't work.

Software firewall application that is not configured to allow local traffic (between the computer and the router is also a possible problem.
some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled). If possible, configure the firewall correctly or completely uninstall to allow a clean flow of local network traffic. If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8610: Printer cannot connect to the new wireless network

I got the OfficeJet Pro for a while and everything worked very well (including wireless printing from my Mac and iPad AirPrint). Yesterday, we got a new Modem Router (from Ubee). As I tried to connect the printer with the new network, I fail miserably.

Here's what I've tried several times: on the small screen of the printer, I select: Network Setup > wireless setting > Wireless Setup wizzard. The printer seems to networks, find the network and asks me the password, I get the password (I did this several times, so no typos!). The printer then "trying to connect to the network"... then it crashes: for a very short moment, I get a blue screen with a white error code (not always the same, for example.) B3FF3802) and then the message "error in the printer, turn off the power, then press.

I turned off the printer and turn it back on several times (incl. pulling out the power plug and restart after a while), but when I go through the steps above, but I just get the same endresult.

I deleted the old network as I feared it might interfere with the creation of the new network. No noticeable effect.

I printed the "results of the wireless network test," which confirms that "your HP printer is unable to connect to your wireless router. In the results of the diagnosis, he states that 'network name (SSID) was found - Fail.

I quite understand the message that the printer detects the network and shows good SSID / network name. I thought to enter the SSID manually but can't find where I could do.

I'd be very grateful for any suggestions on what could be the problem (I can't imagine that the printer would not work with a new router... I searched the internet and found stuff on 'Hello compatibility', but do not know which is the issue I'm facing.

  • HP spectrum 13 Ultrabook: Unable to connect at 5 GHz wireless

    Hello

Is it possible for this ultrabook, the product F4A22PA number #AB4, connect to a 5 GHz wireless network? Because currently, it cannot 'see' the 5 GHz home wireless network while all my mobile devices can. Is it a hardware problem or a software problem?

    Thank you.

    Hello:

Here is the link to the product for your laptop.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c04015688

Next section of wireless connectivity, I see an Intel 802.11b/g/n with card Wireless Smart Connect (2 x 2) technology listed.

Whenever you see a card with a suffix of bgn wireless, it means that it is a single card band (2.4 GHz) only.

A dual band Wireless N card has a suffix abgn or agn.

That is why you cannot connect to the band of 5 GHz with your laptop.  The card is only designed to connect to the 2.4 GHz band.

  • Cannot connect Tecra 9000 to wireless network

    Hello

I am trying to connect my laptop Toshiba T9000 to my BT home Hub 2.0 Wireless v but a little difficulty.
The laptop recognizes the hub, but every time I click on connect, I get the same message.

""Windows cannot connect to the selected network. " The network can be is no longer in range. Please refresh the list of available networks and try to connect again"

I went through a few troubleshooting steps to resolve this problem, but always without success.
Can I update the driver? My inclination is that this may have something to do with the laptop is not able to support WPA?

I am not very computer but if anyone has any additional input to help me with this question then I would be very happy.

    Kind regards
    Answer by quoting

    > Can I update the driver? My inclination is that this may have something to do with the laptop is not able to support WPA?
    This may be possible

The point is that this laptop is an oldie and the wireless network adapter appears to be old too.
I ve no idea what WLan card you have, but you could try to connect to the WLan without use of encryption settings. Disable encryption on the router Wlan and test connectivity again. of course, this must be done only for testing purposes
The wireless network must be always secure

The alternative could be the use of external USB WLAN, it would be the easiest and fastest way for that to be resolved

    Hi @JACE1,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that your HP Deskjet 2540 guard wrong wireless network connection. I'm happy to look into this problem of connectivity for you!

On the wireless test report, must be an IP address from the printer. Try putting the IP address in a web browser, such as: Safari or Firefox, etc. You should see a built-in Web server. Find the network tab and then select it. Then, look for the wireless configuration wizard option. (This should be able to search for the network wireless appropriate for you).

See page 55 of the User Guidefor more details your printer.

Hope this solves your problem and have a nice day!
