Unable to connect to the internet after the system restore and Windows Installer (Vista)

Hello

I have recently restored the whole system on the HP to my sister a virus that I was unable to remove it manually.
The system restore went well until it has reached the point where he was going to reinstall Windows. The computer just turned itself off and the software installation was not complete. I am able to reinstall again. I must therefore hold the CTRL + alt + delete, go to Task Manager, click on audit.exe and complete the process to turn on the computer. But I can't do anything with it in safe mode. The main problem is: I can't connect to the internet! Even if the network discovery is on it will not find my wireless network. What can I do on the internet? And is it possible to install Windows again without the CD?
Thanks in advance!

Hello

·        You are able to boot to the desktop in normal mode? If this isn't the case, then you get any code or message?

·        How did you did system restore?

·        Are you referring to the system recovery using the recovery partition or the drive?

I suggest that you start in safe mode with network and check if you can access the internet?

    Hello CalebCox,

I suggest that you try the methods below to resolve this issue.

    Method 1:

This problem can be caused due to infection by the Virus. I suggest that you run a virus scan on your computer using Microsoft Safety scanner and check if you have the same problem.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Check if you have the same problem in the new user account.

  • Unable to connect to the App Store and auto delete app

Hi, I never update my ipad because I never, and I do not have the space for it anyway. Now and then I get the message saying ipad needs space for the update, press ok to allow deletion, or something in that sense. Theres two options cancel or ok. Today I accidentally pressed ok. He deleted my largest app and now I am having problems with the App Store. I can open it and see the recommended page. I think I can upload them as well, but when I use the search bar, it says unable to connect to the App Store. I don't know what to do and how to cancel.

First of all, make sure that you don't have enough free space before trying to re-download the application. Once you know that you have enough space, try these two ways to get to the app.

Click on the tab purchased on the App Store and see if the application appears in a search here or just trying to slide through until you see the app and then download it from there.

If this does not work, do a Google search for the app. It should appear in the search. Tap on the app in the Google search and who should open the description window app on the App Store with the download next to the app icon.

Not just a system restore last night (Windows 7 OS).  And now the various little things do not work quite as it should.  For example, my windows media player said now that there is no element in the music library.  He shows me how to include files in my library, but when I do this (and my old files are still there in my music) nothing happens.

Similarly, my favorites of the Explorer tab was empty.  I restored an older version, but the bookmarks that were under folders still will not appear in the favorties tab, even if I can see them when I look at the old version, I used to restore.

  • Unable to connect to my new router cable, my XP and Windows 7 machines

Vista, wireless router Netgear, no link, please help

No matter what I try, I can't connect to my new router cable, my XP and Windows 7 machines work fine but the Vista laptop are it. Have searched the web, looked at this site and the forums, but nothing does not jump and helps me solve the problem. I use a HP Pavilion DV9000 laptop, all service packs updates and so forth... any ideas?

I suggest that you contact your ISP and get their help in setting up the Vista machine so it connects properly.  They know the right settings for the access provider, while we do not have and that there may be something else you need to do with Vista which is different of the other two systems (and hopefullly the ISP will also know and be able to talk you through the process).  I call my ISP all the time and they are VERY useful and have ALWAYS resolved any problems, I called (even if sometimes he had a visit from a technician).

If the ISP Can ' t/don't/can't help you, then after coming back here and we'll try to go through it step by step, even if we cannot have all the information we need.  But I am sure that they will be able to help you more quickly and more effectively and with greater chances of success.

    I hope this helps.

  • Virus will not let run me the system restore, and I can't understand how to run a system recovery because there is no return upwards for this computer. It's a basic vista.

When the computer starts, it must choose to leave a program unknown to the system access everything else it shows is a black screen. When you click on allow, he pulls up a virus scanner that says he has all sorts of viruses, but the program is the virus itself, because this virus program is not really on the computer. When you try to run the system restore, it says that this option has been disabled by the administrator. Also, I can't find how to run a recovery of the system and start the computer to its original settings. Help, please. It's not my laptop which is having this problem, but my roommates computer. Thank you for your time, I've ran out of ideas and was seriously in need of a little help. I tried to repair the system running through prerssing F8 in the boot menu and has not worked. also try the system restore via the SafeMode command prompt does not work either.

I tried to restore computer because of a corrupted installation and it deleted Adobe Acrobat, since the system restore did not work, I have reinstalled the operating system, corrected and then installed Adobe Acrobat Professional of XI, entered my license and it comes up with amounts excesses of this license. I would just get the license reactivated. Any help would be appreciated. You need to talk to Adobe, not users on the forums, because only Adobe can reactivate something on their end.   I guess the numbers increase during the work week.

  • critical error after system restore and windows updates

I cleaned up my old computer and did a system restore.  Subsequently, I have install windows to perform automatic updates.  The computer detected 37 windows updates and install them.  After a successful windows install update, the computer said I had to reboot so I did.  Now the computer tries to start but then comes a blue screen with a bunch of text and then said: critical error.  I tried to do a system restore, and when I get to the part, he begins to restore and gets to 13% and then says critical error and I have tried to try again, but nothing happens.  Stuck... Please advise.

If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a repair system restore / boot:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.

NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.

Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.

  • Unable to connect to wireless internet after formatting the system.

    Original title: Mr

Hi, please my dell Inspiron gives me a serious problem to connect to any wireless router, I can only use moderm to brose, I can't connect to any wireless network, this happened to me after that I have format the system but all other things work.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query on Microsoft Community forum.

As you mentioned after formatting the system, you cannot connect to a wireless router, I recommend updating the firmware on your router and updates your wireless network adapter drivers, as there might be a chance that the wireless drivers are deleted.

The majority of connection inside Windows 7 problems have been resolved by installing the latest driver for the wireless card with obtained from the manufacturer. Download and install the Windows 7 compatible drivers and check whether the problem is resolved.

You can refer to the link provided below to update the drivers from the manufacturer's website.

    DELL drivers.

If the problem persists, I suggest you try the below mentioned methods and see if it helps you to solve the problem.

    Method 1:

First of all, I suggest you run Windows built-in network troubleshooting to get the problem automatically detected and corrected.

See the article below to run the network troubleshooter utility.

Using the troubleshooter from network in Windows 7.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/using-the-network-troubleshooter-in-Windows-7#section_2

    Method 2:

This problem can also be bound to the adapter, reset, update driver, disabling, re-activating, uninstall and reinstall network adapter can help.

Follow the steps in the following article to troubleshoot network adapter.

How can I troubleshoot network adapter?

  • Unable to connect to wireless internet after Windows Vista update on 16/09/10

Since I've updated windows I cannot access my wireless internet connection, however, I am still able to connect via the LAN port.

If I check my ipconfig it says under the "media disconnected" wireless network connection  I tried to get my IP address into my settings because they seem to have disappeared, but I can't always wireless.  I ran all Windows diagnostic tools, but all say that the internet connection is fine (due to it being connected by the LAN port).

I also tried to fix it by other solutions on this forum, that is

    • Open Set Up a Wireless Router or Access Point by clicking theStart button, clickingControl Panel, clicking network and Internet, and then clicknetwork and sharing Center. In the left pane, clickset up a connection or network, and thenset up an access point or wireless router.

The result of the message is ' Windows has detected network hardware, but it cannot automatically configure "and when I try to manually configure the server requires a user name and password which I don't have.

Please could shed you some light on this case for me?

    Thank you very much

    Hello

I tried everything above without result.  However, I managed to reinstall my wireless router software after having repaired my DVD driver software.  I restarted my computer and Wireless does not work.  Reinstalled the software new and restarted the computer, and then after a short period of time the computer connected to wireless internet!  Not know not why the remedy has been delayed or why it did not work after the first attempt, but it connects wireless now - what I know is that this problem occurred after an update of Windows, it's a shame that Microsoft failed to address this problem as it was their update it as many other people have also claimed.

A big thank you to everyone who offered advice.
