Unable to connect to the printer wireless HP D110

Bought a new printer D110 last week.  Turned on, it has detected my wireless router Actiontec (Verizon FIOS) with signal max, and I logged it, using my WPA key.  It appears that he successfully connected and returned a hard copy report indicating that he has passed all the tests, at the address IP 192.168.1.4, which is within my reach.

However, when I told the installer to use wireless rather than in USB mode and entered the IP address assigned to the printer, she returned with a message that it cannot connect to the printer.

I disabled all firewall and antivirus software and repeat this step again and again, same result.  It's on a laptop Toshiba Satellite brand new under Windows 7 Home Premium.  The laptop has had zero problems wireless in and of itself.

I repeated the installation on a 8 years old Sony Vaio laptop running Windows XP Home Edition with all the latest service packs and updates.  Same result, failure.

I checked the software admin to the router, checked that it has detected the printer and assigned to this address.  However, neither the router nor either laptop can ping the printer successfully.  Laptops can ping each other, and the router pings successfully.

I went to USB mode and connected the printer to the new laptop.  Works very well.

I'm guessing there's a permissions/firewall problem going on here.  I don't use MAC filtering.  I opened the port 427 incoming UDP activity.  No change.  Any help appreciated.  Thank you.

You can try to run WIndows Update again and again to make sure that your system is the last and largest.

Also, download the latest version of the software for your printer from the "Support & Driver" link at the top of this page.

Welcome to the HP Forums, it's a great place to get help, find answers and advice,
Thanks for posting your request, I'll be more than happy to help you

If I understand correctly the printer to scan does not work after the recent update of the Sierra,

Don't worry, even if the following document does not mention Sierra, the Apple article will guide you through the steps to scan through

I also suggest to use the Apple Scan while you wait for the HP software update. You can use the link below to confirm that your printer is still compatible with your operating system: software of the printer and scanner for macOS Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite, and the Mavericks.

  • Printer Hp6700: unable to connect to the router wireless D - Link DI-514 when SSID Broadcast is set to no.

HP6700 printer: unable to connect to the router wireless D - Link DI-514 when the router Broadcast SSID is set to no. My MAC laptop and HP laptop both work with the set SSID on no. If I change the router Wireless SSID Broadcast is YES, then the printer HP6700 can connect to the wireless router. I set up the printer it saying that the SSID and password have been, the same as both of my laptops, but it connects ever, unless I have change the router to broadcast the SSID. Help!

Have you tried to update the firmware on the DI-514?

You can also try to set a static IP address on the printer, and then assign the printer to the list of DHCP static in the interface of the router.
To give a static IP address to your printer:
-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') 250
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the gateway.
-Enter for the first DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for second DNS. It's Google DNS. You can choose a different external DNS if you wish.
    -Click 'apply '.
Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

After that you remove and re - add the printer to your Mac.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi aunt Shirley.

First of all, we're going to connect the printer to the network:

-Restore default values of network within the menu on the front panel of the printer wireless.
-From your computer, connect wirelessly to the network printer (it should be a name similar to HP - Setup - xx - Deskjet 3510).
-After successfully connecting to the printer, open a web browser such as Internet Explorer or Chrome and type 192.168.223.1 in the address bar and press ENTER.
-Click on the Wireless Setup Wizard
-Select your router and enter the password to connect to the printer to the router.

Run again the printer software to your computer to rediscover the printer on the network.

  • Unable to connect to the printer via IP address

I changed my ISP (internet service provider) and therefore changed routers - now unable to connect to the printer.
I put a static IP address on my HP Photosmart B110a printer before we changed to ISP because there are connection problems. When we were setup to the ISP again, we are unable to connect to the printer, such as the printers IP 192.168.1.12
The new network ISP IP range is 192.168.0.xx and printers address IP is out of the network.
I can print via the USB cable but I can't return to my printers GUI by entering 192.168.1.12 return the printer back from the static IP address.
A hard reset for this printer would be appreciated.
    Thank you very much.

    Hello
I solved the problem. The answer was staring face heres so my solution for someone who has had similar problems.
I didn't dig up the old router that affects the 192.168.1.xx IP network and then connected my PC, connected my printer then connected printers user interface through the static IP address, I assigned earlier. Changed to automatic IP. Connected my new router (which assigns the IP addresses of 192.168.0.xx) to my PC and printer. Everything is now OK.
    Thank you.

  • Unable to connect to the printer 8500 A910

When I first connect my printer to the router and install the printer driver on my computer, I can print documents. However, when I turn off and on the computer, the computer cannot connect to the printer (coz I can't print any documents) even if it is connected to the router.

Anyone know how to fix this?

    Hi @Donald0812

    When you try to print, do you have an error message any? If so, what would you say?  While I wait for you, please complete the solutions proposed in the following 2;

    I hope this helps.

  • Unable to connect to the network wireless printer.

says the printer cannot be contacted over the network. Said also the printer is not enabled when it is turned on.

    What printer brand and model?

What version and the service pack of Windows?

Check the led or LCD screen on the printer to confirm that the wireless status is OK (the printer can be powered on with the wireless turned off).

Depending on your printer, print a network information page or use the LCD Panel to determine the IP address of your printer.  Make a note of it.

Open devices and printers, click the printer icon, select properties and click on the Ports tab.  If necessary, click and drag on the vertical line between the 'Port' and 'Description' in the 'Port' wider column header line (you can't see the vertical line in the example below, but this is where it is) to do.  Is the IP address in the selected line (corresponding to your printer) identical to the IP address that the printer has reported?  Click 'Cancel' to close the screen.

  • OfficeJet 4630: Unable to connect to the printer

I have been using an Acer laptop with a HP printer via a wireless router.  I had to replace the printer with a 4630, which is wireless, still has a USB port in the back.  I connected the cable from my tower to this port, then made the setup wireless according to instructions.  The printer works with the office, but not the laptop via the router.  I get no error message, nothing happens when I try to print.  Although it is a simple operation, I'm in over my head, being almost totally ignorant of Windows.  (With the help of Windows 7).  I guess the problem lies in how I have the laptop implemented, even if the old printer works perfectly with the desktop and the laptop.   The printer reported that it was connected after that I did the installation, and I have the blue light.  I know that the laptop can still access the router, as I have no problem connecting to the Internet.  Suggestions as to how I should have the laptop configured?

Also, I got this message after you posted my message, but do not see what has been changed: "your message has been modified because the incorrect HTML code was found in the body of the message. Invalid HTML code has been removed. Please review the message and send the message when you are satisfied. »

I solved my problem.  As I suspected, the problem is with the configuration of the laptop.  I deleted the network information and it built everything back, and now I can print to the desktop via a USB cable and the laptop through the wireless router.  Thanks for your efforts.

Check the "share printer on the network", on and outside.

The printer works sometimes and at random.  Example: trying to print a Word document that has failed, but sometimes from one day to the next, the document printed.  Spookie!  But above all, the printer will not connect.

Problem started after the two aircraft had been disconnected for a few days and move while some construction was conducted at the scene.

Is there a setting that needs to be found and reset?  Could any dust, etc. of construction altering the router?  Please help, preferably with a simple solution.

    Hello

I just upgraded to El Capitan 10.11.13 on my MacBook Pro and cannot connect to a Canon MPX470 printer.  There is no update of the driver from the Canon website.

Anyone has a solution or work around?

    Thank you

    Roger S.

Your model is not on the list of supported printers. You can find more information on the manufacturer's website. Otherwise, you may be able to get the printer working partially by manually selecting the driver for a similar model that is supported. Some features probably do not work as expected.

Printers & Scanners preferences window, please click the sign more to add a printer. Opens the Add dialog box.

Click the Advanced tab. Wait a few seconds for the search printer to fill, and then on the shortcut menu: use, choose

    Select the software...

Another window opens with a list of available printer drivers. Only drivers that have been installed will be listed, not all drivers. Choose the one which in the model number closest to what you have, and then click OK.
