  Are you sure that the laptop wireless switch is on?
  Look in the Device Manager. Maybe it's the wireless network card disabled. So activate it.

  Also try an update of the WLAN driver. You can find it on the Toshiba site:

  Have you checked the Wifi device in Device Manager? The driver is properly installed?

  Try turning off your firewall, which could block the Wifi connection.

  Also try to press Fn + F9 to toggle wireless devices

  So the fix for MY problem was just re-aranging my network would invest and the linksys as being the first unit WAN/LAN on the network of front loading.

• Unable to connect to the ftp server, tried everything!

  I just got 3 new laptops (Vostro 1520) Dell with Vista Home basic. I have internet exlorer 8 installed and firefox with fireftp. IM aware of the inability of windows to connect to ftp servers, or internet explorer 8 or windows Solution Explorer, but I was always able to connect to my FTP with fireftp. It is not the case with these machines... I open fireftp, plug my characteristics of the object and its says its trying to connect, but then returns with an error reading "unable to connect to the server. Please try again ". I also tried filezilla and smartftp and still nothing. I checked my server logs and my logs show even that my laptop has even tried to connect to the server, the laptop is not allowing the ftp request to even leave the computer. I even went into windows advanced configuration firewall and created new rules for port 21 ftp and still im even not get to the server.

  -user name or password
  -windows on Norton Firewall (attempted to extinguish both)

  IM completely drawing a blank as to what could be causing this, the server is configured to the standard port 21 so there is nothing extra needs to be done, as far as I know with whom.

  There could be some third-party programs running in the background that can be interrupted.

  You can try to start the computer in safe mode with networking to see if it works.

  Steps to start in safe mode:

  1 restart your computer if it is running.

  2. tap on the F8 key after your initially on powers computer.

  3. Once you see the menu Advanced Boot Options, you can stop tapping.

  4. use the up/down arrow keys to highlight your selection.

  5. Select Mode safe mode with networking and press ENTER.

  6. you should see loading drivers and wait please.

  7. you should then be at the Welcome screen.

  8. connect to your computer using an account with administrator privileges.

  ASA does not support the K9 i.e. VPN - DES is enabled and VPN-3DES-AES is disabled.

  Hi, I had this same problem, here is the solution:

  When you perform a debug crypto isakmp 255, so you see that the cisco vpn client does not support SHA +, you must use MD5 + AN or sha with 3DES/AES.

  Be careful, this debugging is very talkative, but that's the only way I found to get ITS proposal on debugging.

  Well, change your strategy using MD5 isakmp / OF would do the trick.

• Unable to connect via IP MX200

  Hello world. I have a problem with point to point connectivity between two end points. We have 1 st MX200 endpoint that is registered in VCS with it's own sip uri and the second is independent endpoint connected via vpn. What 2nd endpoing person trying to make a call using the ip address of the connection to a 1 set and everything works fine. But when I try to make a call using 2nd connection ip address of endpoints only showing a few errors of sip. Between intellectual property is very well. We cannot save this 2nd endpoing for our VCS. What could be the problem and how can solve this problem?

  1 endpoint registered with its own SIP URI, then I guess the 2nd endpoint 1 calls endpoint using the URI and no IP (that would be the logical way to do)?

  Since it seems that you are not using a VCS-C/VCS-E deployment, "Called to unknown IP addresses" must be on "Live" on the VCS.

  Note also when calling an IP using SIP, IP address should be prefixed by something @ - 'something' can literally be absolutely anything, i.e. [email protected]/ * / _endpoint_IP_address.

  I had to restore this laptop due to virus problems (my daughter system..).  I have put back it and it works except that I am unable to connect to the wireless network.  It says 'Acquiring Network Address' and goes then to the "Limited or no connectivity."

  Here are the details:

  System:

  Inspiron 1300 - XP Pro SP2

  Dell Wireless 1370 WLAN Mini-PCI Card

  Parameters:

  o use Windows to configure the verified wireless network

  o in Dell Wireless Utility, unchecked "let this tool manage your network."

  o WZC: start & automatic

  o TCP/IP: Obtain IP automatically and obtain DNS automatically

  I took action:

  o reloaded all drivers available for my service tag, including the pilot for

  the network card

  o went through all the Dell relevant troubleshooting steps

  o I have a different laptop that connects to the wireless network and I

  compared the parameters between the systems of work and non-working - they

  seem to be the same (another pc and card)

  o the 'bad' system can connect to the network via ethernet cable

  The status bar displays the network icon (pc screen) with yellow trinangle and!

  and 5 green bars for the network card has an excellent signal with unknown status.

  I'm not clear on the question of whether Windows or the utility of the card should be network management; I tried both to no avail.  I'm basically out of options to try and hoping someone can help me.

  Please let me know if there are any additional necessary information.

  These days I was unable to connect to Skype when on any wifi. As soon as I turn off wifi and use my cell network signed in full. I have a 6 s iPhone running the latest iOS and versions of Skype. Anyone else having this problem? I tried to reinstall the software with no luck.

  Never mind... 3 attepnts later took an uninstall, force the restart of the iPhone and reinstall to get it working again.
