• Unable to deploy the EPM Application

  I use EMP 11.1.2.3 application and Essbase created in the new library of the Application. But I'm not able to deploy this application to Essbase server.

  Please find the journal of validation below folder. The result indicates success. But when I checked the status in the console work, it is abandoned. Please could you help me to deploy the application.

  Did you do a right click on the application in the application library and run the diagnostics, have you checked the epma and essbase, newspapers is essbase studio works ok as epma use studio to deploy.

  Here's the step.

  Copy the folder "Report Style Sheets" of

  \\Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\products\FinancialManagement\Server working folder

  TO

  \\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\epmsystem1\products\FinancialManagement\Server working folder

  After you have copied the folder, if it please redeploy the application and check if it works.

  When I try to edit the PDF form in Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader, the entries are removed when you save the document.

  The permissions on the form indicate that fill the form content are allowed.

  This form is set up with a JavaScript that resets the form when it is saved. If you have Acrobat, you can delete this Document event will save. Otherwise, if you disable JavaScript before saving, it not be restored when you save.

  I work for a company users 4000 + and I was tasked to deploy the latest version of Firefox. I need to lock the browser, home page of facility settings, disable auto updates, rename (for example Mozilla Firefox browser provided by companyname). I was able to do with firefox 3.x, but I can't seem to make it work with the version 7.0.1

  The greprefs file no longer exists with the change using a ZIP archive omni.jar and you place a local file - settings.js in the defaults\pref instead.

  You can use a mozilla.cfg file in the Firefox program folder to lock the prefs or specify default values.

  Place a local file - settings.js in the defaults\pref folder where you will also find the channel - prefs.js to specify using mozilla.cfg file.

  folder named PROJECT and placed in C:\ in windows server.
  So when I want to call a form or a report I used the path as "C:\PROJECT\module_name\form_name.fmx."
  My client now wants her project to be used in the LINUX-based server.
  
  Now, I want to know where I should put my form project file and file reports
  and how I should call them...

  Can you say how can I call reports as u said hardcode the path when the report is not a good practice.

  I agree with Dhiraj Madan, paths of coding is a very bad idea, your application has become non-portable.

  For FORMS_PATH, you can use default.env, as already said (or .env, if applicable).

  The same can be done for REPORTS_PATH, using the reports.sh script, in $ORACLE_HOME/bin.

  Hi Srikanth,

  CygWin is a windows software. When install us on windows (in your case server windows NT), it provides a comand line interface. In this command line interface, we can type and use the unix commands. So basically it unix imulates Windows environment.
  We used to use SSH for unix (TelNet) boxes. So in short, I think that we use only a command prompt SSH connected with the server which excludes the unix commands.
  So for the remote access connection, probably your sys admin may need to install some ssh (OpenSSH) on your windows NT Server.

  For info on installing Windows EBS, the usual controls that we use are with extension .cmd (such as adapcctl.cmd). adapcctl.sh is not available here.

  They are also good questions, but I'll give you the details :-)

  (1) what does the box 'Auto Save form' useless? -

  NO, if you don't do this then your Provisioning will be blocked in the Validation System.

  (2) you can "Auto-save" the form of the Application Instance?
  According to Oracle either hide these attributes or delete these attributes, but there is no clean way to remove such things.

  Question for you:
  If you don't want automatic backup of your Instance of form then why did you create that.

  Workaround solution:
  If you don't want Application Instance and then create an Instance of the Application more without any form

  I don't know if HPCM was deployed correctly at the first time or not.

• Unable to deploy the NOR-XNET database on target RT

  Currently, I am expierencing trouble with NOR-XNET databases on an RT target deployment.

  When I check my alias on my local computer, all right. The problem is the target, it is stuck on the alias used previously, and I can't add new ones.

  When I open "Manage aliases" database editor and enter the target IP, the program crashes. Same thing with LabView; When I click on "Manage the deployment of the database" in the drop-down list where I choose LabView crashes database files. When I simply click 'Browse for database file', nothing happens. With the databases that are currently in memory, I get a dropdown list out all signals in this database.

  Who knows what could cause the link broken between my computer and the target, it is impossible to deploy new database?

  I'm using Labview 2010 SP1 with NOR-XNET 1.5, and I've attached all drivers installed on the target.

  Disabling the firewall did the trick! I could update all the databases on the target, and the two problems have disappeared.

  So, if you can't deploy a NOR-XNET database, disable the windows firewall!
