  One of my friends has a Satellite Pro A100 722 he had some viruses on the laptop that a local store has quoted £40 for removing viruses etc.

  I have been using a Lenovo laptop (3000 Y 500-7761-47-Q) with Windows Vista. Recently, I installed windows XP and I installed all the drivers downloaded from the lenovo Web site. All works fine except the audio device, even if I installed its driver. When I tried to play a sound, it gives an error message 'no audio device detected on your conputer. I have been using Windows server 2003 on another drive (Dual boot), who has no problem like this. Audio device works well in the BONE and unable to detect another operating system on the same laptop.   First of all, some info on why the devices do not work.

  The USB controller claims there are insufficient system resources to complete the API. However, I am only using about 20% of my memory and my hard drive. If I deactivate and reactivate the device through Device Manager it starts working until the computer passes in mode 'sleep' or reboots.

  The Realtek PCIe controller and Intel Centrino Wireless adapter simply read {operation failed}. If I disable and re-enable these devices via Device Manager they begin to work until the computer mode "sleep" or reboots.

  The Microsoft Kernel Debug network adapter "is not present, is not working properly or is not all its drivers installed."

  Intel WiUSB - windows cannot load the drivers for this device (code 31).

  The HP support assistant tries to download and install "Wireless for windows drivers 8. The download succeeds, but the installation fails.

  At startup, windows thinks that there are no network adapters (other than bluetooth). After the reboot of the devices from the Device Manager, they appear in the section of the network adapters.

  In my opinion the easiest way is installation of Service Pack 3 for Windows XP. It contains patches for cards high definition sound and the other important security fixes. You can download it from the Microsoft Web site.

  But SP3 or patches must be installed * first * and then the audio driver. Otherwise it will not work.

  So my recommendations, uninstalling the audio driver and clean your system using the freeware CCleaner tool. Restart your computer and make sure and install SP3 if it s does not. After that, install the latest driver from the Web to Realtek site.
