Unable to install printer Deskjet F4280 all-in-one Windows Pro 8.1

A week ago my laptop with Windows Pro 8.1 was a significant error and he stopped, then I restarted the operating system with a previous image of the hard drive C. I reinstalled another printer and I tried very time to reinstall the HP Deskjet F4280 all-in-one with the latest driver and with the installation of the Printer Wizard uploaded by HP web site. Unfortunately every time installation fails during step "product configuration" after a lot of minutes to expire. The error was the last time.

I used your HP print and Scan doctor and I followed all instaructions and in the end, no solution has been discovered. Other applications normally run without problem and laptop works fine. I installed Windows Pro 8.1 almost a year ago and until a week ago, I have no problem with the HP printer above. I can solve this installation problem?

Multifunction,

Thank you for the update. The registry document I sent should apply to all computers in Windows 8. Please try to follow these steps.

If you do not provide the error log, which could be very useful. This will help me to refine the question. Also, I do not fear spend 20 minutes reading code until something is different.

I will help you with pleasure until the issue is resolved. If you find my help, you can keep tagging my posts with congratulations and accepted Solutions. It would be appreciated.

Have a great day!

  • DeskJet F4280 all-in-one: Deskjet F4280 print white

    Hello

I just inherited a HP Deskjet F4280, printer all in one and put in place.  It auto downloaded the correct driver from Apple and added the printer in system preferences / print and fax.  I use OS 10.10 on a mini mac computer.

I tried an alignment page and it prints blank page.  Goes through the motions as if it's really the impression, but the page is empty!  Tried a regular document via overview and MS Word, same result... blank page.

I checked and the utility said all the cartridges are fine and have enough ink.

I deleted the printer and readded twice and reset once the CUPS.  Same result.

    Any other ideas?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • install a deskjet f4200 all-in-one

p = p - wnloaded the driver and hp software - I went to downloads and extracted the application, now I am trying to install the printer and it does not find the download I just fact-help! What should I do next? I have not plugged in the usb cable, still... it says is not up to this requested to...

If it has been extracted, then you might find the Setup file in the temp folder.

Select the Windows startup icon, in the search programs and files , type %temp%. There should be a starting folder by 7z. Open that folder and it should have a record of your product, the F4200 containining. The setup.exe file must be there.

Otherwise, you can always download it again and save it to a location you can remember.

    Hi Tony,.

If you open the HP folder under all programs, you will find "IP address update' located in the HP Deskjet 3070 folder. Type the 192.168.0.2 in the box, and then click Search to update the software for the correct IP address of the printer. This should solve the problem with the inability to communicate error you receive, and you should also be able to verify the printer ink levels by clicking on the icon of the printer on your desktop.

  • Problems installing HP Deskjet F4280

I recently bought a copy of the first HP all-in-one I've ever had, the HP Deskjet F4280 all-in-One.  My problem is twofold: the installation disk provided with this printer does not work with one of my laptops because it is made specifically for older versions of Windows (2000, XP & Vista) and I have laptop computers that are running Windows 7 and 8.1, respectively.  Is there an installation disc or download that I can get to activate my F4280 work with both my laptop?

  • Extremely slow Boot Up After installing HP Deskjet F4280

I am running Windows Vista Home Basic with 2 GB of RAM.  I have a few days ago I intalled a HP Deskjet F4280 all-in-one.  Since that time I am experiencing extremely slow start when I start my computer.  Things move along fine until I get to the Welcome screen.  That stays on for about 30-45 seconds, then I get a blue screen that remains as long as two minutes.  After the end of the boot system, everything seems to work normally.  I played a little bit and found out that if I turn user account control, I get a normal startup.  Any help will be appreciated.

    1. click on the start menu and click on "Run" and type "services.msc" and press the Enter key.
    2. in the Services window, locate the HP CUE Device Discovery Service and double-click it.
    3. you should find something that says "Startup Type" Who put in "manual".
    4. click on the button "Apply" and close all windows.

Or if you want an alternative, then turn off UAC. It's annoying as hell anyway!

  • Disorder of ink yellow HP F4280 all-in-one

    Hi all

First of all, sorry about my writing, because I'm French.

    I use a printer HP F4280 all-in-one and Windows 7 32 bit.

I'm preparering of my marriage and the impression a lot of invitation cards. But my printer has just lost his yellow ink all of a sudden and I followed every steps of this link (http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01369481 to solve my problem, but it did not work.)

I am a software developer and work with electronic cards every day. I checked my driver, but when I print the test page (button / stop + Undo button) my yellow ink is missing too, so I suspect a hardware problem, but I don't really know.

    Thanks for your replies.
