OT:when I try to watch a video with DRM, I get a message that must be upgraded one component of Windows media player...

Hello

To resolve this issue, reset the DRM Bank on the computer. To do this, follow these steps:
a. If Windows Media Player 12 is running, quit Windows Media Player 12.
b. Locate the DRM folder on the hard disk, and then rename the DRM folder in backup DRM.

By default, this folder is located in the following location in Windows 7:

%SystemDrive%\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\DRM

c. visit the Microsoft Web site at the following address:

http://drmlicense.one.Microsoft.com/Indivsite/en/indivit.asp
d. follow the instructions on the website to update the safety component of Windows Media Player 12. This procedure allows you to obtain new licenses for media content. You can also reset licenses for purchased content so that you can play that content on a computer.

Note On a Windows 7 computer, you must run Internet Explorer as an administrator before update you the safety component of Windows Media Player 12. To do this, follow these steps:

1. click on start and then click all programs.

2. right click on Internet Explorer and then click Run as administrator.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

Note You must contact any third-party stores where you purchased music to reset the licenses for that music. If you copied CDs for protected Windows Media Audio files, the CD must be copied again.
Note: With the help of third-party software or a link, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third party software or link can be resolved. Using third-party software or a link is at your own risk.

  • I wonder if anyone is familiar with this type of problem with the help of a Windows Media Player for DVD videos.

    Hello!
I came across a problem with my dvd on my laptop drive. The program that I use on my laptop is Media player from Windows. And the laptop will recognize the DVD and everything, but when it starts to play, it gives me this message from Windows Media Player: "Windows Media Player cannot play video DVDs. You may need to adjust your Windows display settings. Open display settings in Control Panel, and then try to lower your screen resolution and color quality settings. »

Now I always use the old Windows XP for my laptop, but I can't seem to understand how to adjust the color quality and lower my screen resolution. Does anyone have a little step by step process that I could follow to do this?

The problem is that Windows XP does not play DVD movies in native mode. You can
have a DVD player, but it can only read DATA DVD at this time. In the order
install a DVD codec to read video DVD discs. First we will
Install this program from Microsoft and run it, and if you have a DVD
Codec, it will appear in the display window. Download this program from
    here:

If it shows that you don't have a codec DVD installed, then you can

  • Transition files with FLAC and WAV in Windows Media Player 11

    Hello
is there a solution/support/plugin to get a feature a transition when I play the files FLAC and WAV in Windows Media Player 11? Now it doesn't work between my losless WMA files.
    Thanks for any help!

No, I'm pretty sure that it is not possible. A transition in WMP 11 is available only for MP3 and WMA, and I don't know any plug-ins that allow a transition to other formats.

For WMP 12 on Windows 7, the situation seems to be a little different. WMP 12 is actually melted chained WAV files, and I believe he can crossfade FLAC too, but only if you have a filter to transform Media Foundation for FLAC installed files. Unfortunately, such a thing does not exist (all active filters of FLAC are for DirectShow). Tim Baets
