My print spooler is started and set to automatic is not that. ANY SUGGESTIONS? I work in a small office and we have no technical support, but I need to print my PDF invoices. The printer is a brother HL-2280 DW.

  im not able to print PDF files when it opens. If I right-click and choose Print then print the document. I had this problem for over a year?

  This happed suddenly one day, I think that after an update from adobe.

  Any other files, word, pictures, jpge ect im able to print without any problems.

  For eksample, I recently scanned a document and saved as a pdf file. When I opened the file og click on print the program asks me to save the file... when I right clik on the same file, and then click on print, then it prints...?

  I had severel printer over the years and never had this problem. I asked printer support as well and there is nothing wrong with the setting since im capable of printing all other printer files. The same problem is when I get pdf files, I can't print them when theyre opend but if right click and choose Print prints.

  What can be the problem here?

  Means that you "Print to file" checked; Uncheck the box (Advanced on printing Panel button).

  There are 2 options to correct the problem

  1 - flatten the image and then save it as a PDF

  2. in Adobe reader, go to file > print > advanced > select print as Image > print your file

  I recently had a crash on my laptop, so I bought a new one and installed the same software (disc) on the new laptop.  Currently, I can buy the emails, but for some reason I can't buy PDF files and sometimes even Microsoft Word files.

  I have printer HP Photosmart 5514.

  I ran the app from doctor HP and nothing came.

  When I had my old laptop, I was able to print anything.  For some reason, I can only print certain documents and I can't understand what is wrong or what I need to do.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  I'm looking for help to solve the reason why my Hp Stream 13 a 32 GB with windows 8.1 netbook suddenly stopped printing of PDF files? The printer is recognized, and when I press on print icon o starts but then disappears. The printer icon appears in the taskbar, but the associated window shows no documents to print.
  I can't think what whether I can have done recently to change all relevant parameters. My printer is an Epson wifi type. I can print other documents ok. I also have a Toshiba laptop, hence the PDF files can be printed by the same printer wifi without problem through.
  Is there anyone reading what may have an idea what could be the problem, if so I'll be happy here from you.

  Hello Dragon - fur thank you for this information. I followed through and in the process I found some PDFs would print through Microsoft Reader is just the pdf files provided by one of my accounts that would not even if in the course of a trial did, most frustrating. In any case what I decided in the end, it was try to use Adobe Reader as it was not installed on the Hp 13 Stream. Once installed the PDF in question printed then problem solved.

  Please read this post then provide some details.  What operating system on your laptop? How is the connected printer - USB, wired LAN or wireless? There the error messages on the computer screen or the printer?

  What program are you printing from?  I would suggest trying the latest Adobe Reader, I've heard of some issues with some programs PDF.

  Michael!  Something that worked.  I printed a pdf of pg 4!  Here, it is a print option, but he was off the screen, and I noticed I did scroll to the bottom of the page that the printer has been change to fax, send to a single Note, Journal, etc.  I think I've probably hit the? next to the help when I haven't seen print and quit - every time.  Thank you so much, that solved a big problem.

  Someone else had put the partial reset online as a way to solve the problem of outdated cartridge - it did not help this problem, I still "magenta to expiration" - which was replaced.

  Also, try to temporarily turn off Mode/mode protected under Edit > Preferences > Security.

  Hello bondzerg, it's currently a bug in firefox's built-in pdf viewer that is studied by our developers. in the meantime, you can use a plugin third pdf as Adobe that you can enable in the firefox options > applications -scroll down and set the default action for the portable document (pdf) format.
