Unable to read HD-DVD

Hello

My reader DVD-Rom (Toshiba DVGW/HD TS-L802A ATA) ceased HD playback
discs. He was fine until there are 3dys, but is now unable to read these
type of DVD, even if she plays again all other formats. After a long
Wait, in the course of which everything freezes, I have to either eject manually
or wait for a message "cannot play this disc."
Tried the update of drivers, change the resolutions and supply, disabled options
and her allowed back again once without success. Even tried to update the
BIOS by following the instructions in "Knowledge Base", but an error message
"file wrong size ROM, came.
Can anyone help? It's really frustrating because I got 5 free
HDDVDs and I saw up to this one... and I
really enjoyed.

Thank you very much.

Kind regards

  • Unable to read CD/DVD

I have Windows XP, which has been recently reinstalled after that my hard drive crashed. My TSST Corp DVD player has not worked since then. I went through the process of deleting the upper and lower filters part as has been suggested in other posts, updated my driver, reinstalled the unit and it still does not. Before my hard drive crash, I had no other problems with the DVD player and I still work when I put a disc in (as in the player seems to be picking up that there is a CD...) - just at the time when I try to play using iTunes or VLC (I seem to be Windows media player more), he said that he the entry cannot be read.

  • Tecra M2: unable to read DVD or use WinDVD 4

Recently, I replaced my Tecra M2(: MODEL NO PTM20E-0MTGR-EN, SERIAL # 54579007G) hard drive and reinstalled windows xp.

I did most of my files on an external drive, but I don't have the original installation discs. I am now unable to read DVD or use Win DVD 4 (which came with the machine.

Is there a file I can download to reinstall dvd playback or otherwise what method can I use to wind dvd port 4 from the external hard drive (there the dll and .exe file but no installation file)

    Thanks for your help

If you have written about WinDVD player bundled with the laptop, in this case, the situation is as follows: WinDVD player is part of the installation image and may not be downloaded from the Toshiba download page.

If you want to use the same application, you need to download a free version of the download from producer page or buy it as all other applications. When you buy the computer Toshiba laptop to ensure that each customer can view DVDs and install WinDVD player. If you use original recovery image, you can use it every time but if you want to use your own OS, in this case you are solely responsible for the installation of the OS and software to use.

If you have preinstalled with success the OS I recommend using any DVD player application. Intervideo WinDVD, one do not.

    Good bye

  • Error DVD HD Qosmio G30-153 - unable to read the

After 6 months of great HD DVDV watched a (although four actual playing time) I am now unable to play any DVD HD but rather to get a message saying "cannot read. Restart the computer. event code: 6 ".

Have deleted the program Toshiba HD DVD and rebooted from the CD backup 'Drivers and tools', but nothing helped.
Audio CD and DVD std works ok, but not HD DVD. Sometimes I get a black screen, the small Control Panel indicates a part playing iis. (e) the pointer moves from left to right, but no sound is heard.

Is the drive of player components of these laptops prone to failure?

All the advice accepted with gratitude.

Same thing happened to my machine. Although 'the Chronicles of Riddick' plays very well. I bought the 'Bourne' collection and get this error message on all 3 drives, so I think it has to do with the security of coding on the DVD itself. I bought this machine to play these things.

I hope someone out there can help.

  • DVD read CD and DVD - R but unable to read DVD + R

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion dv4 and am running Windows 7.  I recently discovered that my optical drive (hp CDDVDW TS-L633N) is unable to read DVD + R.  The unusual detail is that it reads DVD-R, and CD without any problems.  Also, I can write a DVD + R.

Because I just returned from Latin America, I thought that this problem was related to the locale.  Nope... the regional setting is correct.

I uninstalled the driver and restarted the computer, but that didn't work.  I also downloaded Windows Fix it tool and failed there as well.

    Any other suggestions?

Thanks for the suggestion.  I'm embarrassed to say that at the end of the day, there is a very simple solution that I forgot.  In other words, the lens just needs a good cleaning.

Because it was reading DVD-R and CD format without any problem, I assumed the problem was related to a software problem.  After cleaning the lens with a Q-Tip and isopropyl alcohol, however, everything seems to be.  Thanks again for all the suggestions!

  • Satellite P200 - HD-DVD Player Toshiba can not read HD-DVD

    Hello.

I have a problem with my Satellite P200-1: can not read HD DVD. There is a message that says that the video may not be in an external device.

The problem is the same if I try on the screen of the laptop or on the TV (Sony Bravia Full HD) with HDMI. I have the latest driver and software for vista sp1 installed...

    Some have an idea?

  • Qosmio G30-201 is unable to read the hd discs

I cleaned the lens of the hd player and the discs are all clean and withought scratches. The reader will read audio CDs and regular CDs, he also wrote for the dvd and cd discs.

When I insert a HD disc in the drive it just continues to produce a whiring sound strang and will not play.

I played the hd movies on the laptop when I got it first, but he is unable to read it now.
    Help, please.

    Steve

    Hello

so, if the player has played before that should always work, or? :)
Installed a few programs that could possibly affect the playback of HD discs? It might be a good idea to recover your system, perhaps to issue it s just a software.
Otherwise, if I were you, I´ll sent my machine to a service partner chartered for a material balance of health. (You still warranty?)

Please answer soon

    Hi Gurwinder_Singh,

    (1) are you referring to the virtual optical drive?

    (2) do you have applications that create an optical drive to mount the games installed on your computer?

This could have been created by an application. Try to uninstall the application, and the reader should disappear.

    Hope this helps!
