3rd party applications and malware are often cause for this. Have you tried the clean boot such as suggested above (that isolates the background application that could cause the problem)? Also try to run a full scan with your antivirus.

Note This command "srvctl stop asm - n * dev1 *-i + ASM1.

you used dev1 after the "n" option but looks dev1 is the instance name and not your name of node.

can you please try:

I can't manage to stop my ix4 - 200 d which is frozen (impossible to access data or the web interface). Using the button before turning off does not at all, even if I continued pushing on it for 30 seconds.

Is there only the solution of unplugging the power cable? The last time I did, one disc was missing after reboot... :-(

After installing above ISO burning software, right click on the Knoppix ISO file > copy the Image to a CD.

Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.

Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1^st in the boot order.

Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.

When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.

Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.

Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).

Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.

My laptop win 7 does not stop. He gets to the extent of the 'stop' then it stops. Works fine in safe mode.
Tried to clean boot, auditor system flie but no joy. Tried system restore but it failed.
I tried updates USB driver so this may or may not have something to do with it, but how can I prove it?
How to prove that prog, application, process, service is at fault.

Hey sorry, this seems to be a bug in the plugin site checker. For some reason, it confuses one of the Intel (the one with this version number) plugins with Shockwave. You can either disable the Intel plugins if you don't use them, try to upgrade to a newer version if you, or ignore the message.

Have you looked at Tools > Options > privacy? There is a setting there will be such Firefox to always start in private browsing mode. If is selected, just turn it off and restart Firefox to see if that solved the problem.

On 19 March, I downloaded the latest version of Firefox. Yes, it works a lot faster, I thank you, but now I am unable to stop. The Start button led to three choices of stand-by, stop, or restart. But closing does not occur. In desperation I tried Ctrl/Alt/Delete, without success. Please notify.
