Uncertain of the dv6 1143TX bios update
Hello, I was wondering weather or not, I need to update my laptop Bios. I did not update the bios since I bought it and it does not say that there is an update available. I am skeptical about the weather or not, it's an updated value, because I saw many others users have serious problems of execution of such update.
My laptop model No. is dv6-1143TX and my version of Bios F.12
Do I have to update, what problems will / may incur the update, what happens if food not up to date, and if I need to update the update I don't I need?
Any help, suggestions and information is welcome.
If everything is already running an update is not recommended.
What can go wrong
You can turn your laptop into a costly and unnecessary Clipboard if you don't update the BIOS by following the instructions with precision.
This means that if you turn off your laptop during the update you will definitely brick your laptop.
What happens if you don't update your laptop
If it works and you don't try to fix what's wrong, that then you does not work in Murphy's law. (Fix something that is not broken and it will probably break)
I'm looking to automate the update of extractor and our organization doesn't want or need additional software such as SHAREit or WRITEit, just the drivers and BIOS update. Is it possible to retrieve only the BIOS and the driver for the repository updates?
At one point AHA a little there, discovered that I can mark the drivers/software I want installed as test or hidden mode and ThinInstaller don't provide that updates available, which works very well for us.
There is something wrong with my Satellite Pro A300-15 t. I made an update of the BIOS of toshiba recently with the latest Web site and it installed successfully. But after the installation, I noticed that my laptop does not restart when it is connected to the power adapter. It restarts and works perfectly when its power on the battery.
After restart or start-up the laptop (on battery), it will be well when the adapter is connected.
But, when I reboot when the adapter is connected, after his stop, just power light turns on for a second or two and gets off automatically. And not even the laptop starts manually by pressing the power button (LCD is turned off when the power light comes on for 2 seconds) when the adapter remains connected.
So what I do is to pull the plug on the adapter, then start the computer manually by pressing the power button and reconnect the plug of the adapter to the laptop starts. It works well this way. Rest everything works perfectly.
And this problem started after the update of the BIOS. Now, I don't know how to remedy the situation I don't know if there was a bug in the last update of the bios.

So please help me to solve the problem.
Thank you best regards &,.
Try to update the BIOS again
In addition, access the BIOS settings and set the default parameters. Save it and try again.
The problem began with a blue screen after the updated copy on the road on machine of internal to external hard drive...
After the reboot, the screen went white and CAPS LOCK has 2 flashes
Device: HP dv6 7309tx envy
Current BIOS: 22/01/2013 F.24 / 181E

insydehflash.exe in the package on a spare computer (no HP) does not support the extraction to USB, I will need to update the bios on device dead...
Device is now in HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI, where I can add usb and start to update...
However, the raw after extraction of sp68425 bin file is not accepted...
and I can't go any further with the tool insydeh sp682425 because it does not allow me.
There is no real BIOS option the last update on the HP support who is crazy enugh...
Please help to send me the appropriate files or explaining how I can generate in a different machine than the one update has no boot?
If the solution was done by a kind shop in Hungary, http://reballing.hu
and a specialist in firmware http://vinafix.vn
So apperently my BIOS has been corrupted that CAPS lock sign showed and it could have been rewritten with HP Diagnostics if HP could provide the RSA key for her...
In this case it is not provided, you don't have that one other solution, to find a nice (as reballing.hu) repair shop, where the guys are nice enough to disassemble your computer, take the chip and write the data without the requirement of RSA software HP Diag using a writer BIOS correctly. You can also buy writers of the bios and the tools, but he could be uite costly and risky for you to do...
So you have a repair guy, the only other thing that you might need to trust is the dump of the BIOS correct, please note that the supplied with the softpaqs .bin file is encrypted, so it must be decrypted, it is not an easy task, it worked for me too after awhile, but better to find a provider of bios (saves time for you as well and that is why HP is not willing to give it to you, you have two choices: make a work computer, and read the bios in this way (you must have the identical chip and content, so preferabily the same card mother or product)
Or go to www.vinafix.vn and ask them to provide you with, these people are kind enough to explain how the thing works and what you need to write your own return data.
So once that you set is not more than 30 minutes for a handy guy and as they work at the time, it is fairly cheap as well, it cost me 25 USD total (10 for bios) and 15 for the actual work done
It's a shame that yu can not really find information about this threat, and also that it can happen to your computer at any time it seems that, always in waiting to see what caused, and if she came back or not... but as of now, I am pleased that the computer is back on!
This is probably a stupid question, but I want to become less stupid in him asking:
How to create a bootable cd for upgrade of the BIOS with the files provided in the field of management of this site?
precisely with this file here...
.. . How can I do?
Option 2: update with CD-ROM
1 extract the zip file containing the BIOS upgrade to a temporary folder.
2. in the folder temporary three subfolders will be generated. "docs", 'Update - 3.5' disc',
"Update - CD - R or CD - RW"
3. how to make a bootable CD-ROM please read the *.pdf file in the "docs" folder
This tutorial is taken from this website as well. And Qosmio G50 is not anywhere in the page even if its update of the BIOS download page was pointing to it.
When I download the file I only get a zip containing an *.exe file that I can not in any case run since I'm not on my broken Toshiba (do not have to update bios to start otherwise)
Can someone help me being less stupid ^ ^ please?
Please read here how to update the Bios:
But if your laptop works well, we shouldn't touch. The update of the bios isn't funny procedure and can go wrong with white screen
kindly help me witch costume best updated bios for hp pavilion dv7-6c67nr...
The best is probably the latest version on the link below F.1C - implemented to date of the HP bios are cumulative, so all the fixes and improvements from previous versions must be included in the latest version.

I A135-S7403, I know it's old, but well, I worked until I installed a new version of Bios (1.90 for Satellite A130 (PSAD0U/PSAD3U) on the official website of Toshiba (here: http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/modelContent.jsp?ct=DL&os=&category=&moid=1854878& rpn = PSAD0U & modelFilter = & SelCategorie = 3 & selFamily = 10 73768663).)
All installed no problem, but when I restart the laptop, it does not start.
It freezes on screen with red writing "in touch with tomorrow TOSHIBA" and I can't do anything.
What should I do? And why this official update broke down my computer?
Something has gone wrong with your update of the bios, this is why the Tower cannot start. Also, can you enter the Bios itself?
How can I update the bios on my laptop, if necessary? What are the improvements?
Tells you what improvements have been made for each version and how to do it. I personally wouldn't update my bios unless I had problems or if it was something that I needed. If a problem occurs during the process, you essentially have a doorstop.
After I updated my bios Veriton M670G the cpu fan runs at full speed. Any ideas?
Right after an update of the bios, you must load the default settings of the bios utility:
- Bios Flash
- Restarting the machine
- Press [delete] to enter the bios Setup utility
- Press [F9] to load the default settings (Acer thermal module)
- Press [F10] to save and exit

I have a Pavilion DV6-7031TX laptop and I would like to add the latest version of the BIOS that I install windows 7 or 8 as UEFI. The bios that is currently on the laptop is dated 2013 and its number is F29. When I go to the support page, I get a listing for the f.0Une of the 2012 Version. When I check the windows list 8 it is a BIOS date of 2014 F.2D number.
The BIOS located on the laptop is nowhere located? This machine is less than 12 months and it seems odd that this would have a version of BIOS HP does not list?
I DID using the phone number and talked to someone who had NO IDEA what I was talking about and all I want is a simple answer, I do use install the BIOS listed for windows 8? (don't understand why HP has it filed under win8 just like win7 can also use UEFI environment).
I hope that someone at HP knows the information I'm looking for?
It certainly isn't the first time I saw a laptop comes with a version of bios that will never appear as a download option - I do not work for HP, so I can't give you an explanation for this.
Regarding the latest version of the bios of your laptop, F.2D, the cva file lists Windows 7 and Windows 8, which is what I expected.

I have a hp dv6-2155dx. I forgot the bios password.
Please give me unlock code for 68747528.
Thank you very much.
My decision was very long, and whenever I get the motivation to upgrade to a W520, I always get worried about the forums. My main concern the limitation on the battery and the blocked processor clock. Since the last update of the BIOS, is it resolved? I can handle a small limitation on battery but 800 MHz is all just ridiculous. Before that I have finally let go of my money, buy the W520 in confidence that there is always these problems? I'll have to use this machine for at least 5 years, and if I have to start with these problems, I won't be a happy camper.
I think you get a view polarized the W520 on this forum. It is a solid and reliable machine. The limitation of problems have been resolved there are some revisions of the BIOS.
Yes, it is not perfect in every way. However, it is a boon to the developer of this software. Yes, I use it to do the real work.
Now that I've sung his praises, I'll do a 180 in saying that I would wait for the "W530" at this late stage of the game. This is probably only a few months at sea and can represent a significant improvement.
BTW: If you want to get one, you will get a better deal by the way for one of the pre-built reseller like Amazon or Buy.com. It is much cheaper to do it and then upgrade only to have Lenovo customize it for you.
For example, I went this route:
I saw this as low as $1360 model. You can throw in a load of RAM for not much money.
I wanted to talk, Buy.com stocks often this machine, and they have a 45 day return policy.
There is my 2 cents.
On the site of drivers Dell it says version A05 update for my system WHAT BIOS is recommended. The version on my PC is A02 so its quite a bit obsolete.
If I update my BIOS it will ruin future Windows 8.1 relocations. Because it is an OEM system, I don't have installation media... I have reinstall it from the original image. Now when I do a clean reinstall Windows 8.1 is installed and Windows Activation is done automatically. Activation is related to the BIOS.
Can you flash/update the BIOS without affecting future relocations and the current automated Windows activation method or is updated the BIOS completely ruin this method
SMI Bios stands in an EEPROM based series which also has the tag serial number and of Service and other relevant numbers as serial numbers. This information is NOT stored in the BIOS or UEFI Bios. You cannot write to the SMBIOS where the encrypted key is stored that only the manufacturer can do so. Microsoft specifies WMI as the preferred mechanism to access SMBIOS from Microsoft Windows. In UEFI information, the shell "SmbiosView" application can recover the SMBIOS data. More recent Dells Bios should be updated through INTEL Management Engine aka BACK no longer works on UEFI-based systems.
System Management BIOS (SMBIOS) contains a lot of information.
If you open a DOS window administrative CMD aka. EXE
You can read this through WMI commands
C:\>wmic bios get serialnumber SerialNumber ABCDEF1
C:\>wmic csproduct get vendor, name, identifyingnumber IdentifyingNumber Name VendorABCDEF1 Dimension XPS 8300 Dell Inc. https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa384463%28v=vs.85%29.aspx
