Under battery power Tecra A7 works slowly

I have a TECRA A7 laptop, and I have a problem with the battery. When I do not use AC power, the notebook gets too slowly with programs like Netbeans.
How can I solve this problem?

Hello

I guess that this happens because the laptop uses different modes of consumption.
If you unplug the AC adapter the Toshiba Power saver will change the power on the laptop mode.
Maybe the other mode of power put the CPU settings at the lowest level.
I recommend to check first the properties of the power mode you use if you are only working with battery

Laptop Toshiba with Vista. The Synaptics touch pad battery power works fine. When it is plugged in, it freezes.  Disconnect the power supply and back to the battery and everything is fine.  That's happened?  How can I get the touchpad to work in both modes of power?

I played with power options, and there is nothing specific to the touchpad.  Setting the power of USB has no effect either. This laptop (Toshiba A505 series) is up-to-date with all service packs, etc.

    Hi mravitz,

You need to maybe uninstall and reinstall the Synaptics drivers installed on the system.

Uninstall and reinstall the Synaptics drivers.

    a. Click Start, point to settings and then click Control Panel.

    b. double-click system click on hardware and then click Device Manager.

    c. expand the device, and then double-click the Synaptics driver.

    d. click on the driver tab and click on uninstall

    e. restart the computer and check

Do you not use the same profile of power for AC power and battery power?

  • Tecra 8200: If I use the moniter decrease brightness battery power

I have a laptop Toshiba tecra 8200, when I use it on battery moniter decrease brightness, I tried to adjust the power to the control panel settings, but there is no option for brightness (win xp)? anyone has idea how to adjust the brightness on battery?

    Hello

If I remember right you can set the brightness of the display by saving settings. Please start Toshiba Power saver. Check the part runs on batteries. There must be some NORMAL called marker profile. Click details, and then click standby power mode tab.

There monitor the brightness option. All the four options set at the maximum level. Now when you use your laptop on battery power the brightness of the monitor will be defined to the maximum level.

    Please test.

  • Unknown buttons under the power button - Tecra A9

Does anyone know what are the two buttons under the power button?

    thanx

    Hey there.
The first is called Toshiba Assist button and automatically launch the program.
The second is the Toshiba presentation button and has the same functionality as the display of connection button in the center of mobility.

A brief look in the manual is sometimes very useful ;)

  • How one doesn't check the battery power level?

How is - a check the battery power level, rather than just waiting for the clock to tell me that it is 10%?

The watch face, dragging up and show your looks. Swipe to the left to the right to find the battery look.

If you don't see it, on your iPhone, open the application of the watch and under the eyes, don't forget it's on.

It can also be added as a Complication to a lot of faces watch so it is always visible.

  • On battery power my Satellite A100-233 runs only 1 hour

    Hello

I would like to know if it is normal that the battery lasts 1 hour. Everything I do is either go on the internet or use word doc or power point presentation. I can't watch a dvd without the use of power due to the battery. I would also like to know what battery normally comes with the Satellite A100-233.

    Hello

It's not easy to say how long the laptop will only work with the battery power.
Battery working time depends on the use of the laptop!
In your case I guess the laptop should run about 1h30min 1h15min

You Satellite A100-233 belongs to the series of PSAA8E. Am I wrong?
Well, this series was delivered with a 4000mAh battery. As far as I know the price part number indicated PA3399U-2BRS PA3399U-2BAS

Anyway the 4000mAh batteries are standard and are not very powerful.
If you want to run the notebook much more on battery I advise to use the batteries as:

    Battery pack high capacity PA3400U-1BRS (Li-ion, 12 cells, 8600mAh)
    PA3478U-1BRS extended capacity battery (Li-ion, 6000mAh, 9-cell)

  • Satellite A100-225: battery power light flash orange

Last night, plugged my AGES of NINE DAYS by Satellite A100-225, the lights were on, it was working fine.

This morning, woke up, lights were turned off, tried to turn it on, the battery power button flashed light Orange.

Tried to play with the cable by plugging it into other outlets that I knew worked, nothing helps.

Have tried to start without the battery in it, without success.

Unless there is a function that can prevent from starting somewhere, I don't know what to say. This computer is nine days old, and I do not understand how something can just wrong all night.

Adding info if necessary - computer was on when I went to sleep, and was running Mozilla Firefox and WinAMP.

    Hello

Perhaps the unit automatically goes in standby mode or hibernation?
On this device, the automatic system standby/hibernation has been reinstalled. This function automatically stops the system when there is no input or material of access for a specified time. You can specify the time and select System standby or hibernation in the base of the Toshiba power saver settings tab.

In addition, if the battery LED is flashing it means that the battery charge is low. The adapter must be connected to the battery.
If it of not possible to charge the battery, so there are several possibilities: the battery could be dead, the AC adapter doesn't work or there is something wrong with the hardware of the laptop.

Try disconnecting the battery several times and then connect.

But according to your ad you tried a procedure and it doesn t work. So I think you should ask the ASP in your country to help.

    Hello

Access the BIOS and disable options like: wake-up on LAN and keyboard.
In Toshiba HW Setup I should disable the USB Sleep and Charge feature as well

    Hi Dmitrij

I doubt that disabled firewire port will help to save the battery.
If you want to save battery power, you should check the options and settings of Toshiba Power Saver.

    Check the HowTO document
