Unexpected shutdown in mode 'sleep'
I had a problem recently with my computer shuts down when I put it in mode "Eve". The problem started a few weeks ago, but worked very well for at least a year before. Is a change which took place a few months ago one of my graphics cards is dead, but I just plugged my screen to the other, and it works fine.
I run Windows 7 on a desktop computer. I can locate the .dmp files and the .xml files that Windows tells me will help describe the problem, but don't know what to do with them...
Here is the error message that keeps popping up:
Signature of the problem:

HP laptop (Vista Home Premium) won't wake up mode 'sleep'
My HP Pavilion dv6910us laptop will follow the recommended power options and enter "sleep mode", as you want it or made-to-order... among the STARTUP options or by closing the lid. However, once he is in "sleep" mode it won't wake up. The LED on the power button flashes and the indicator on the chassis... but by pressing, open the lid or by touching the keys is useless... he wakes.
To restart the laptop, I have to disconnect power, remove the battery and then connect the power/insert battery. Needless to say, it causes Windows down and declare an unexpected shutdown during the power upward. I did the research many resolutions... currently, my best solution is to change the power options so that when plugged the laptop doesn't go to sleep and then if I disconnect I have to shut it down... Rather, I don't have to go through this hassle all the time.
I've followed many troubleshooting procedures... Updated BIOS update... Updated graphics driver... I even tried a "clean boot"... no additional services except for Windows services and has always had the same problem.
Please... Help!

Have had problems since 31/12/09. Tech replaced Dell hard drive 14/01/10 because all software solutions did not resolve various problems, including the screen black and white letters indicating the mode without failure, or count down the regular opening. System Restore has used several times, all software removed and replaced. New Quickbooks reinstalled two times 10, it usually starts up quickly. I was told not to turn it off, just let it run. It automatically goes into sleep mode, it still does not start correctly. Last message is that Windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown; Windows can check online for a solution to the problem. Problem event name: bluescreen

Black screen HP Elitebook 850 after the mode 'sleep'
Hello
I have a HP Elitebook 850, which is about 3 weeks old. It is running Windows 8.1 with most of the HP software, which is available for this model, installed.
Once the laptop goes into mode 'sleep' may not wake up for some reason any. The screen remains black and seeing everything seems normal. The only thing to do is either ctr + alt + delete to restart or shutdown forced by using the power button.
Any ideas?
Best regards
Has exactly the same problem. Called HP support. They said that I needed to downgrade the video driver I was using.
Specifically they asked me to check the version of the video driver first:
- Start screen, type "Device Manager" and then click to open Device Manager.
- In Device Manager, expand "graphics cards". There were two shown:
Radeon (TM) AMD HD 8500/8700 M M
Intel(r) HD Graphics Family - They asked me to double click on the graphics card Intel. The dialog box properties open;
- On the tab driver properties dialog box, check the Version of the driver. Mine was 10.18.10.3379.
HP support and then asked me to download an older version of the driver, 10.18.10.3316. Here's how:
(1) on the laptop in question go to hp.com;
(2) in the Help menu of hp.com, click Download drivers;
(3) search by product: Enter 'Elitebook 850 G1' and press Go.
(4) multiple results will come to the top, select the one that says 'HP EliteBook 850 G1 Base model Notebook PC';
(5) to select the operating system: "Windows 8.1 (64-bit);
(6) from the Index to download, select 'drivers - Graphics ';
(7) tΘlΘcharger "Driver Intel video and control panel (International)" version 10.18.10.3316, November 15, 2013. It's a big download, 158 MB.
Once the download is complete, double-click the downloaded file to install it. If you get a dialog box warning you install an earlier version of the driver that is currently installed, click Yes to continue.
After you have installed the version 10.18.10.3316 driver, I restarted the laptop.
To test whether the fix had worked I open a text editor and entered the text without saving it (it was to see if the unsaved document would still exist after that the laptop computer woke up from his sleep). I then put the laptop to sleep by closing the form. When I opened it again the light behind the power button has been slowly pulsed on and outside and the screen was black. Based on the presented power button the laptop out of fashion 'sleep' and return to the lock for recording screen in. Once connected, I found that the unsaved document was still open for the laptop had obviously just slept and rather than restarted rewoken.
I hope this helps.

Windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown - BlueScreen

There are resolutons example 1) passing through your materiel Manager & check all the settings to see if it is unchecked for PC mode 'sleep' or 2) puts up-to-date KB973879 & KB972036 that caused problems & when uninstalled fixed their & brighter 3) corresponds to the ID of the Article: 958233 "how to fix mistakes BlueScreen (STOP) that cause Windows Vista to shut down or restart unexpectedly".
Like I said that this PC is brand new - first powered on 02-09-09 (However the software was installed Dell - it could be a problem until I switched on?). I don't have to connect a keyboard and mouse usb normal then a Blueray Logitech keyboard and mouse, HP printer (I have since deleted/rebooted several times since), system of Bose speakers &, of course, the monitor.
So my question is I guess that, before I start to do restorations system & other things mentioned in the article above for a problem that nobody seems to have a real handle on there new info out there to share. What about the problem of the reports that are sent to Microsoft? Can I expect any resolution of those? Have automatic updates on, there I should delete? I have a free upgrade to WINDOWS 7, when that will be released? Can only solve the problem?
Is it possible to dig to determine which driver might be causing the problem if it is a driver problem?
Thank you
richHello
Run the SFC/scannow in the link I posted and check the log file, as shown here.
Ntoskrnl.exe is a Vista system file and it blocks due to the cause of this problem, which is probably no more
material - not properly seated graphics card or a power supply problem or driver problems.Remove ALL power to the system - open the case and remove and reinstall the cards. Remove and reinstall
all the cables (do try not just to close) on both ends for those who may have removable ends (this
to remove minor corrosion).Here is my generic driver update and see the other methods on the page I you referred to above.
For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - Device Manager - Display Adapter - note the brand and complete model of your
video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this
cannot do anything as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT
This will refresh the driver stack.Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party with their
own the software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.Now go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restoration) and then of the manufacturer of the device
(Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for the BIOS, Chipset and software)
updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after each installation.
Always check in the Device Manager - tab drivers version you install actually shows up. This
because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a
pilot - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat if necessary.Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW on device at the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER - manually check by model.
Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-Device-Manager-install-driver.htmlIf you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver in the Windows updates,
This leaves ONE of Windows updates, but it will not install the drivers who are generally older and cause
questions. If updates offers a new driver and then hide it (right click on it) and then go look for new ones
manually if you wish.How to disable automatic driver Installation in Windows Vista - drivers

Did you of recent changes to the computer before the show?
I suggest to download and install the patch that is available in the following link and check if it helps.
You cannot shut down a computer that is running Windows 7, or sleep: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/977307
It will be useful. -
After entering the mode 'sleep', WIndows 8 occasioanlly stops.
This happens rarely; only three times since the installation of Windows 8 about two months ago. I use my computer on a regular basis and prefer to put in mode 'sleep'. Normally, the screen turns off first followed quickly by the computer go to sleep - in other words, all the lights and sounds of my Tower disappear and everything is happy.
Sometimes after the screen stops normally, the computer takes about 5 seconds before the tower was asleep, before turning off. The delay is very sensitive. The next time I turn on my computer, it goes through the normal startup process (does not wake from sleep). There is no error, BSOD or anything, but I lost all my previous session data as if I shut down the computer completely.
I think I've identified the relevent event in Event Viewer. The most recent is as follows:

However, I couldn't find anyone get the same problem subsequently to spend in sleep mode, but then again I don't know much about this stuff ~Any help is appreciated. If there is any other information that you need, let me know what (and where). Thank you.
Hi André,.
The kernel power event 41 ID error occurs when the computer is off or it restarts unexpectedly. Starting a computer that is running Windows, a check is made to determine if the computer has been properly closed. If the computer was not closed properly, a kernel Power event 41 message is generated.
I suggest you to refer to the article and check if it helps.
Please post back with the results and we will be happy to help you further.

Are there any shortcuts keyboard to place the office in mode 'sleep'?
Are there keyboard shortcuts can I use to place my office in mode 'sleep'? All mouse and/or the shot is a bit back when it takes literally 2 seconds to do it on a keyboard.
I've only played with Windows 8 for a week and I'm already screaming, "Microsoft!" PLEEEASE release a version of Windows 8 for DESKTOP computers (aka 8.1)! "IF you do, I can finally replace my droid with MS OS ones.
When I use this command my computer enters hybrid sleep mode and shuts down completely, it can only be awakened by pressing the power button / stop and wait while the UEFI BIOS load and Windows load before the resumption of the session. If I use the sleep command in the menu of Windows, the computer goes to sleep with the power light on the computer slowly by Flash and it can be awakened by pressing any key on the keyboard.
Why this happens and I can control what state the computer goes in with a shortcut (vs hybrid sleep sleep)?
I use a motherboard ASUS Maximus V 8.1 Windows 64.
EDIT - this site seems to have a solution. I opened a prompt with administrator privileges and run the command:
powercfg-hibernate off implementation
Then make a shortcut with this command:
Rundll32.exe powrprof.dll, SetSuspendState sleep
The first time I tried the shortcut that put the computer in hibernation. After using the powercfg command, he seemed to sleep properly.
