Unexpectedly Terminal lance by itself

Sometimes - maybe once a day or two - I'll look down and notice that this terminal is running. The window displays just the UNIX prompt, no command or anything. No idea how it's going, but I guess it's related to a program I installed. I thought it might be some kind of malware, but so far nothing has been detected (execution of Sophos). I don't know much about UNIX, is anyway I can see a history of processes, or something like that? I probably even erroneous terminology, but you get the idea...  Thank you!

With the 'historic' command, you can check the history of the terminal commands, but you should also check the processes and open ports, processes use "ps to the" and for open ports, use "netstat - tcp atp", without quotes.

  • Terminal opens by itself; strange warning messages

I have a Mac Pro Tower in early 2009. It worked very well under El Capitan, but recently several things that I cannot explain and that he wanted to see if others have problems and how they have dealt with them. I use the last update from El Capitan (10.11.6), but the first problem below that's happened since the first El Capitan.

First of all, I can just restart my computer. When I select "Restart" it will not be stopped, never. I have to do it manually by pressing the Start button, and then restart manually. I read to unplug the computer for 15 minutes and it will clear up the problem. It worked only once. If I stop and unplug the device, it works again, but only once. I have to keep unplugging whenever I have to shut up at work the next time I start up.

Also, I often leave my computer on at night. Lately, seems since the last update of El Capitan, when first the morning sit, I find the open Terminal. It's strange because I never opened the terminal. I'm scared :-) the terminal twice I found a warning on the screen when I sit down in the morning to use the computer. I have attached two examples to the present note. I was wondering if someone could help decipher. If someone is trying to hack into my computer, I don't know what is happening or how to fix and protect.

Thank you in advance for any help you can offer!

  • I get this error message every time I try to open Outlook Express: your server unexpectedly terminated the connection.

I get this error message whenever I try to open Outlook Express:
Your server suddenly put an end to the connection. The possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'pop.mail.yahoo.com', server: 'smtp.mail.yahoo.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 465, secure (SSL): Yes, error number: 0x800CCC0F

    How can I solve this?

    original title: Outlook Express error

Does OE open at all, or you get this error after opening?

Check your mail at Yahoo.com and see which messages are still on the server that you have not received. The first online can be very large and cannot be downloaded. If you find such a message, read it and delete it online.

In addition, you must disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

  • Double click in iTunes doesn't work for a song

    Hello

I have iTunes 12.3.3.17 on an iMac running 10.10.5 Yosemite.  I have a strange problem where in iTunes, I double-click on a particular song, but the next time song.  The next song played depends on whether or not I shuffle defined or not.  If shuffle is set, the next song is random.  If shuffle is not defined, then this is the next song in the album.  I can double click on any other song in any list, and it will play.  It's the only song that I found that will not play.  Still, it climbs to the next song.  I can be in a playlist.  I can be in 'my music '.  When I double-click on this song, always plays the next song.

Something that may be related or not... a strange thing happened when I was downloading this album on the iTunes store.  My iMac has encountered an unexpected error and restarted itself.  When I logged in, things are although had downloaded all the songs.  But I'm running into this issue with this one song.  This is the first song in the album.  Any ideas would be appreciated.  Thank you very much.

The audio file may be damaged. Since you downloaded from the iTunes store, you should be able to remove it and then re - download the purchase without problem.

    Hello Wilyd,

I understand that you have a problem with the first song on the album that you downloaded from the iTunes Store.  The best way to solve the problem is to remove the song and it download on the iTunes Store.  If the second attempt not only success, so I'll include a link to the iTunes Store Support team so that they could watch that particular file.   Here is the information you need:

Why you don't need your anti-virus to scan your email
    http://thundercloud.NET/infoave/tutorials/email-scanning/index.htm

See If disabling email scanning by your antivirus application solves the problem.  E-mail Scanner don't offer no extra and Symantec protection even says that it is not necessary:

Disable e-mail analysis won't let you without protection against viruses that are distributed as attachments to email. Norton AntiVirus Auto-Protect scans incoming files as they are saved on your hard drive, email and attachments to emails. Scan to email is just another layer on top of that. To make sure that Auto-Protect provides maximum protection, keep active Auto-Protect and run LiveUpdate regularly to ensure that you have the most recent virus definitions.

    Hi me again,.

You may need to change the settings of your incoming and outgoing settings.

Open your e-mail program > tools > accounts > your bizmail account > properties > servers, under outgoing mail server, check "this server requires authentication" > apply > advanced, under outgoing (SMTP) mail change to 465 not 25. Put a check mark on "this server requires a secure connection (SSL)" > under incoming (POP3) mail, change it to 995 no 110. Put a check mark on "this server requires a secure connection (SSL)" > OK

I would like to know the result of this step.

  • I can't get into my Windows mail. Get this ERROR that I have Vista

Your server suddenly put an end to the connection. The possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'Pop CHARTER.net', server: 'Pop. CHARTER.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, secure (SSL): no, error number: 0x800CCC0F

"Unexpected" termination is usually caused by interference from an incompatible anti-virus program. First of all, go to its settings and disable any interaction with the e-mail, and then try again Windows Mail. If no improvement, do an uninstall of the trial. Another option is to upgrade to Windows Live Mail, which is more resistant to the negative effects too intrusive anti-virus products: http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview

  • Host process for Windows Services stopped working and was closed & Windows must now restart because the DCOM Server process Launcher service terminated unexpectely

my computer keeps stopping and restarting itself. I get the same messages of 2 error: host process for Windows Services stopped working and was closed and; Windows must now restart because the DCOM Server process Launcher service terminated unexpectely. How can I fix? I used the norton support, run analyses of many, nothing has helped.

None of the above works though... I didn't know by another forum to download Hitman 3.5 http://www.surfright.nl/en/downloads/home that he got rid of a virus that norton, Norton 360 and Malwarebytes antivirus support could not. I had no problem since :)

  • The closure of many application windows unexpectedly quit without the application itself.

Whenever I asked several windows open on my iMac, one or all windows frequently and unexpectedly close. Does not close the application itself, but the screens disappear.  I can reopen it the windows in the dock or by command-tab.  It is not a question of active corners, shortcuts, etc.  The windows, that I don't use sporadically close while I am engaged in another window.  VERY interruption.  Any ideas?

As the elements are always there when you command-tab, it looks like you accidentally select "Hide others" (option-command-H).
