Unflatten partial or incomplete JSON file

I use INI files to store configuration data, but I would switch to JSON.

By doing a 'reading key' of an ini file, is the key does not exist I can specify a default value.

Appears not to be the case for JSON, is there a way around it if I want to just store the cluster elements and those that are not explicitly declared using the default? It seems that although I have would have explicitly declare null for all the items that I don't want to save.

Try an another JSON implimentation, such as on the LAVA.

    The files in the bookmarkbackups folder are currently in compressed format .jsonlz4 (i.e., they show data binary like a ZIP compressed archive) and cannot be easily unzipped for access the JSON text format.
    The files are compressed means that a single error in the file will make it impossible to unpack the file.

    Have you checked all the available JSON backup to see if everything works?

    Import & Backup is the third button in the toolbar in the library beside the organize and buttons views.

    In bookmarks (library) Manager is a tool bar with back and next button and three other buttons (organize, view, import, and backup).

    • The first button (gear) is organizing with base change the menu items for the bookmarks
    • The second button is the button in the view which allows you to change the sort order for the visualization of the purpose (sort is not permanently).
    • The third button (Star) is the import and backup button that allows to save and restore a JSON backup and import and export an HTML backup and import bookmarks from other browsers.

    Place each button to display the ToolTip or click on each one to see what they do.

    After you install Firefox on your new system, use the restore feature in the library to restore your .json file dialog. (Use the option "Choose file... (' out of your USB.)

    See: restore bookmarks from a backup or move them to another computer.

    It work?

  • Can I remove my exported html bookmark file after I re any and it merged with my restoration of my old favorites? Even with the json file?

    I recently reinstalled my OS on a new drive and have just successfully restored my old favorite and imported all the new bookmarks that I had saved from the OS install. I just want to know if it is safe to remove the json file I have restored from since it was on the old disk I want to format and I can also delete the html file I created by exporting my new bookmarks until I started this process?
    Marc

    You can keep a backup of the old file or make backups, backups JSON on the new computer.

    You can decide for yourself if you would have a use of this file.

    If all bookmarks have been restored successfully, then you won't need the backup, and you can create a new backup regularly if you have modified or added bookmarks.

  • How to import bookmarks from a json file?

    I have Firefox 23.0.1.

    I am trying to import Firefox bookmarks from a json on another disk file and merge it with my existing bookmarks.

    I have only options to import an html file. I can also use food to put in the file, but it will overwrite my current bookmarks, and I would like to merge the two.

    I found a solution. I exported my bookmarks current in the form of HTML file and restored then my favorites using the JSON file, thus overwriting my existing bookmarks. Then I was able to import the HTML file and merge the two lots of bookmarks.

  • HowTo Import Favorites .json file

    I saved my favorites from a facility earlier Firefox, saved to a .json file, but how now to import the bookmarks into my new installation? Options talk about profiles, backup/restore, but I haven't saved any profile, only bookmarks.

    See:

  • I had to do a destructive recovery. Try to reinstall the bookmarks but the 8.0 new OS I installed does not ORGANIZE the FAVORITES so I can't import the. JSON file.

    I'm MISSING 'To ORGANIZE the BOOKMARKS' AND 'LIBRARY' IN 8.0, so I am obviously unable to follow the instructions given. I have Windows XP, not that it is important. I have the. JSON file stored in a hard disk external. Every website I've seen so far says to go to favorite bookmarks / organise and import from there, but there is NO organize bookmarks that I found in 8.0 so I have no idea how to do to import this file to install my old favorites.

    In addition, I don't have whatever it is labelled library either. AND I don't have any Add - ons that can be a problem.

    Organize bookmarks was renamed to display all bookmarks in the version of Firefox 4.0.

    Bookmarks > show all bookmarks or {Ctrl + Shift + B}

  • I have a bookmarks.json file in which I thought I had saved my hundreds of bookmarks, but now I'm not able to recover these. pls help.

    I HAV already spent weekend on this issue. These bookmarks were all too important as those who have been saved during 4 years.

    You have not described what you've done until then I put standard procedures to follow. If there are problems please answer and provide some details. I'm assuming you have located the file bookmarks.json & don't know what to do with it.

    Depending on the version of FF are you using

    • In 3.* * Select organize bookmarks
    • 4. choose show all bookmarks

    Select the menu import and backup at the top of the bookmarks/library window

    Select restore - there may be a selection of dates;
    at the bottom of the list, there will be an option to choose a file...
    Click on that and for which you have registered your JSON file.
    Select this file.

  • Is there a switch Terminal to export/import a JSON FILE?

    I need to get and put the Firefox files in an external program, so I need to be able to export/import JSON files programmatically (probably the command line). Is there a switch that I can use, or another way to do this?

    You can do that via the command line.

    There is a daily backup of JSON in the bookmarkbackups folder in the Firefox profile folder

    Maybe you can create a component XPCOM to do what you want.

  • Blocked .json file keeps all the files synchronization

    I have a json (required) file which prohibits OneDrive for business, for reasons not listed in the help. Help provide also no solution to this problem. The json file is needed and I can't remove it.

    His presence is causing a "synchronization error" which seems to prevent ANY synchronization. In essence, the entire system is "hooked" on this json file one whom he had met at the beginning of a synchronization, so NOTHING is synchronization because I can't find a way to erase or ignore this sync error. My options are 'close' (the sync error persists) or 'Help' (totally unnecessary).

    First of all you can move this office like Onedrive for there business.  Second, we need more info on the json file.  It can be compressed?  Why is imperative, etc

  • Quick help with json file

    Hi all

    I'm trying to find a way to dig a json file. This is the structure of the file

    {
       "company" : 1,
       "employees" : [
          {
             "firstname" : "Tim Tom,
             "more_info" : {
                "address" : "123 lausanne",

             }
          }
       ],
       "total" : 750
    }

    right now I have used covered to do this way.

    bb::data::JsonDataAccess ja;
    QVariant jsonva = ja.loadFromBuffer(response);

    QVariantList employeeList = jsonva.toMap().find("employee")->toList();

    QVariantMap infoList = jsonva.toMap().find("employee")->toMap().find("more_info")->toMap();

    So the first employee works. I get the data off of it, including more_info

    but for the second, which doesn't seem to work. Is it because I need to loop on my first list?

    Thank you for the help

    Hello

    Browse the list using foreach:

    QVariantList employeeList = jsonva.toMap()["employees"].toList();

    foreach (QVariant v, employeeList)
    {
      QVariantMap employeeData = v.toMap();
      QVariantMap moreInfo = employeeData["moreInfo"];
    }

    An important point to note is that function find() can potentially return mapName.end () if the name was not found in the map. If you do not check for this case explicitly, the application will crash the incorrect entry.

    Another option which I use above is using operator [] that creates the key value if it is missing, and always returns a reference valid value, so it is not necessary validate the result.

    I have a ListView in QML using a RPC GroupDataModel that is created from a .json file in the assets folder. The items in this list are removed and added to. CPP how can I get the GroupDataModel data in the JSON file?

    I know that it is this:

    How can I get data from GroupDataModel in a QVariant to put in the first parameter of this function? I can't stick my GroupDataModel m_model in there; It causes an error.

    Found the conversion. Thanks to prevent me from giving up and leading me in the right direction!
