Unidentified network No internet access

I had my Pavilion dv6-6c35dx (Windows 7 64-bit Edition running Home Premium) for about a month and I was the wireless Internet without any problem. About two days, whenever I start my laptop the icon network said "Unidentified network - no Internet access." But I can temporarily fix it by disconnecting it from my router and reconnect (or wiring) and I can access the Internet after that. But I find it very annoying to do this whenever I start my laptop. Before the problems started, I've changed my router with this laptop's settings. The reason why I've changed the settings of the router because I wanted my games devices to be taken in charge by the router.

Hello:

Here is the link to the latest driver for your wireless card.

http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-105197-1&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en

If, after installing this driver, you still have the same problem, I think that you can solve it by the fix below, but you will not like you only have a 54 Mbps connection.

It is not a big problem if you transfer a large number of files to and from your PC to or from this laptop or your internet download speeds are more than 54 Mbps.

Mine are 30 Mbit/s, and it's pretty fast.

Difficulty:

In Device Manager/network adapters > click your RTL 8188 > / properties/Advanced/and change mode wireless b/g/n and b/g

    Hello

It may be an idea to set up a static IP address to see if it will connect you.

Open windows control panel and open network and sharing Center.  Click on change settings card and in the next window, right click on your wireless connection, and then select Properties.  Left click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) to highlight (click on the wording and not with the beat box) and then click the properties button.  Click the radio button next to "use IP address, then enter the following values. following

    IP 192.168.1.110

    Subnet mask 255.255.255.0

    Default gateway 192.168.1.1

In addition, assign the following DNS server address

Preferred DNS 208.67.222.222 Server (these belong to OpenDNS)

    Auxiliary DNS 208.67.220.220 Server

After entering these values, don't forget to click OK for each open window, before restarting the laptop.

  • Second laptop unable to connect; When trying to connect wirelessly, says connection is successful, but the Public unidentified network, no Internet.

    Hi all.

I'm really sorry to post this question, I must have read 100 other threads on this topic, but none of the solutions seem to work for me.

I have a home set wireless network in place, which may not have a lot of problems with it that I have a laptop W7 which has a perfect wireless connection, and also our TV connect when you want, as do our phones and Xbox.

We bought a second hand Acer aspire laptop for our daughter. It is running Vista Edition family Basic. Even if she had the factory reset done on this, because we can connect to the router with an ethernet cable and it works very well, we managed to ensure that all updates of Windows etc are all complete.

When trying to connect wirelessly, it says connection successful, but it is to a Public unidentified network, and there is no Internet. Also, even if it says Local access, we cannot connect to the router settings page is.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the built-in wireless adapter and updated the driver to do this, he says that he is as up-to-date as possible.

I checked that DHCP is enabled, we tried dynamic and static IP addresses, we have disabled and re ipv6 enabled, we used the command prompt to reset winsock and stack ip, I looked into msconfig services for service # Id_String1.6844f930_1628_4223_b5cc_5bb94b879762 # Apple off but it isn't here.

I have a real dislike for Norton / products McAfee and there is none of these on the laptop. We will install Comodo Internet Security, Eusing Registry Cleaner, Spybot S & D and Spyware Blaster as soon as the wireless is configured and that the Windows Firewall is disabled.

We also have many turns of the spin off the coast and laptops, etc. and deactivation and activation of the adapter.

It seems that all the usual solutions for the lack of connection are not the culprits this time.

IPconfig for W7 laptop that works well is:

Norton or McAfee pre-mstalled of recovery of the manufacturer media?

If so, did you uninstall it AND run the tool to remove the appropriate product manufacturer?

  • WiFi connected but unknown network and internet access

    Hello

I think I've read enough forums and done enough research I finally post my question. My other laptop is Dell Inspiron 1545. It connects to my home network, but says unknown network and no internet access. I tried wifi and ethernet cable. The IP address is set to auto detect, I have reset the router, reinstalled the drivers for the card wifi, without success. Any ideas?

    -Taylor

Only, I solved this problem on my Dell XPS, so I decided to share with the community.

After the call to Dell and discover my warranty had expired (a little more than one year) and knowledge it would cost me $129 to get a response from time, I decided to go look for solutions. I found a thread of 2009, attributing the cause to a thing of access network Mcaffee. I knew that's the question because I don't personally like the major anti virus makes (they tend to pull up of stunts like this) so I had ripped my PC McAfee, as soon as I started. But this thread has helped me understand how to solve this problem.

The problem seems to be an Agent of network access Protection on your system configuration (your start up programs). Make sure it is off. It wouldn't hurt also to try to disable the Internet Explorer ETW Collector Service (has a name shady so I nuked it too: P). this fixed my connection problem not identified immediately.

    Follow these steps (Windows 7):

    1. click on start.

    2. click on search at the bottom bar.

    3. type: msconfig

    4. press enter

    5. you should have a new window named System Configuration

    6. click on the Services tab.

    7. scroll down until you find: Network Access Protection Agent. It will be defined as stopped. It's normal.

    8. uncheck the box next to the network access Protection Agent.

    9. click on OK.

    10. restart your computer.

Your internet connection should work now. If this is not the case, repeat the procedure until step 6, and then follow these steps:

    1. scroll down until you find: Internet Explorer collector Service to ETW. It will be defined as stopped. It's normal.

2 uncheck Internet Explorer collector Service to ETW.

    3. click on OK.

    4 restart your computer.

If these two steps don't fix your problem, go back to the Configuration of the system (Services tab) and it look for any other Network Access Protection Agent, such as Macafee named ones or something similar. Please be aware that uncheck essential services can cause pc problems, so make sure you know what you're unchecking before you do. If in doubt, feel free to google it.

Another solution would be to temporarily disable your antivirus and firewall and see if that helps. If Yes, then you know where you need to focus.

Good luck and hope it works!

  • Private network with Internet access

    Hello

Using WS 9. Building a 'private' isolated network who always has Internet access for testing purposes? I built a virtual machine that has AD, DNS and DHCP installed. Ask yourself if it's feasible to isolate this virtual machine from the corporate LAN, but allow it to have access to the Internet to d/load patches/security fixes?

I created "the" private network as follows (VMnet2):

    vmedi.JPG

    Thank you

    BRITISH COLUMBIA

Host-only, it's just that and does not communicate beyond the host.  You could add a connected by a bridge or a NAT Network Adapter to the Virtual Machine and connect it to your updates and unplug when done.

  • unidentified network and local access only

We have a wireless connection and our router is realtek. However, our network is unidentifyable! He said that it is a public network and gives local access only. When an ethernet cable is plugged into our computer to the router connect to the local network overrides this and we have local and internet connection.

What is the problem that causes our network to not be recognized? I tried to diagnose and repair and renew the IP address, and none of these work.

    Its very frustrating...

    Thank you
    Christina

    Hello CJ135,

Please make sure that your computer is configured toe "obtain an IP address automatically".

Open (run as administrator) command prompt and enter the following commands...

    -netsh winsock reset

    -nbtstat - rr

    -netsh int ipv4 reset

    Restart you computer *.

    Method 2

If you would please check that you have installed SP1 you Vista computer and on the XP computer you have installed SP3?  So that you can make networking 2 computers successfully, they must be on the latest Service packs.  Just click Start and right click on computer and go to properties.  This will tell you what Service Pack you are running.  While windows are open.  would you please check the name of working group on both computers.  It is imperative that all the computers on your network are on the same workgroup.  For example, Vista default workgroup is labeled "Task force" and working XP Group is labeled "MSHOME".  So that both computers to interface with success, the workgroup name must be the same.  In addition, please make sure that 'everyone' has full control on the folder and the shared folder.  If you please you would follow with me as best as possible, I'd be very happy.

    Method 3

If you have a 3rd party software such as Norton or Mcafee security, disable temporarily and attempt to connect.

Please check if you are able to connect to the internet.  If you please you would follow with me as best as possible, I'd be very happy.

  • network unidentified Ethernet / without Internet / public network

    Help, please!

I can't connect to any device through the ethernet cable on my laptop (Windows 7 ultimate)

I am currently trying Internet share my connection wirelessly with my panasonic tv but I am unable to do so. The funny thing is that the laptop can see tv as a media device and can spread via home sharing (occasionally) but when it is connected via an ethernet cable is a network not identified without internet access and stuck as a public network.

The trouble is that I have connected my xbox 360 to my laptop in the same way in the past and it worked without any problem at all (a few years back however and I'm not sure if it was before I upgraded to windows 7 since vista). The xbox 360 now has the same problem of a network not identified, etc.

The farthest ive come to connect my panasonic gave me an error message that there is no default gateway, but most of the time there is no activity at all.

I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and enough and ipconfig/flush, / renew to the prompt with nothing

the ipconfig/all of the cmd.exe is as follows:

Re: Fix for "Unidentified network" / no Internet access

    Solved ..................................

The problem has been solved by going into the wired adapter (Local area connection network controller) in windows Device Manager, select the device right clicking Properties, select Advanced--> property--> address--> value network and enter an address mac (OR existing checking the ipconfig/all from the command CMD prompt) then the ok button. After that the internet access was restored.

I don't know what caused this problem. with the machine in question, I did a factory restore to solve another problem that has solved the restoration and all trying to update windows discovered this problem. I don't really like this fix because it may trigger things upwards later if by chance another device has the Mac as the made-up an i.

in any case, thanks for your help - techguyisme

Oops, I forgot to say what the problem was! the mac address of the wired network adapter adapter was all zeros 00:00:00:00... (see the ipconfig/all command in the original post of exit); so I changed it to something other than zeros

    > I tried just about everything at all any help would be really appreciated
and what have you tried exactly?

Have you tried to update the driver Wlan?
Have you tested the WLan in relation to other Wlan routers?
Have you tested different channels WLan (1-11) and different standard WLan (802.11 A/B/G/N)
Did you test the connection to the WiFi which is not encrypted?

  • Unidentified network - Windows 7

    Hello!

recently re-installed Windows 7 after a BSOD that wouldn't let me even start. This issue is now resolved, but when I try to connect to a hotspot, it does not work. After a long "identification" process, he said "unidentified network, no internet Access. How can I solve that?

Problem solved! The driver was designed for Windows 8, while the other more ancient works fine now.

  • No Internet access after restart on Windows 7

    Hey,.

I have a HP Pavilion Dv6 with an Atheros AR9285 wifi adapter and it originally had windows vista installed. I just upgraded to windows 7 is a complete and the first format was fine, I could connect to the internet. After restarting my computer, I started to have problems of WiFi, it says I am connected to my router, but the network is unknown and there is no internet access. I am able to connect to the internet on the same router using my phone, my samsung laptop and none of my roommates have had this problem.

After much research on google and search through discussions, I found that a lot of people have had this problem, but none of their solution worked for me.

    That's what I tried:

    • I have uninstalled and reinstalled my network card
    • I've disabled Hello, then went as far as uninstalling itunes
    • I have reset the TCP/IP stack
    • I do not have Metacaff
    • I don't have the service # Id_string (bunch of numbers)
    • I put my default gateway at the same address as my samsung that connects to the internet
    • I put my IP as shown in the following solution addresses

IP address of 192.168.1.65 (does not etre.65)

    Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

Default gateway: listed on the bottom of your router's default IP address (for me: 192.168.1.254)

    -Click OK

I does not require a reboot, you may need to.

Nothing seems to work, so any ideas would be much appreciated!

  • No Internet access, the 'Connect to the Local network' and 'Wireless network connection' are "Local only".

I'm portable computer maintenance of the customer, a Toshiba Satellite L305-S5885, under Vista Home Premium x 86 SP2, with infections by malicious software and internet connection problems. I have managed to get rid of all of its 251 infections and I am now addressing the connectivity problem. I'm unable to achieve on its ethernet or a wireless connection to Internet. The two network status of connections 'Unidentified network', and also ' access: Local only ' all other machines hooked up to my router via CAT5e and some via 802.11 g/n, have excellent speeds with internet connectivity, so I know that the problem is limited to his machine. I tried the following:

Deactivation and reactivation of these two connections: FAIL.

"Diagnose and repair" on the two connections: FAIL.

Under dynamic I.P. type to static/static to the dynamic: FAIL.

Uninstalled all network via Device Manager devices, then restart: FAIL.

Manually uninstalled all the drivers and utility and installed the latest versions: FAIL

Guys, I'm really hitting my head against the wall on this one, and I would be VERY happy for any help through this. Thank you!

I thought about it, there was a corrupted installation of Norton 360, the origin of the problem. I've used the Norton removal tool and voila! Internet! Thank you.
