Unified Messaging settings

I wanted to know if there is a way to give priority, or put in the email that is labeled as important whether or not listed in the vocal part of the e-mail; or if there is any way to change the settings of this.

Open the subsriber page, choose the Conversation on the left pane. The reading order is under new Message Play Order

  • Unity 4.0 (5) configured for Unified Messaging

I have a few questions about Cisco Unity prior to implementation in the field or by creating its own.

1 - How unity software interact with exchange, does it change the objects or add properties (as it does to A.D.)?

2 can be put in place for Unified Messaging and to always have its own domain (Windows 2003 standard server) and Exchange 2003 is separated from existing servers?

    3. If Yes, Exchange 2003 must be installed on a separate machine, or can it be installed on the server of the unit itself?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    question No. 1:

Unit to update or add attributes to AD to be turned on the unit. The attributes are basically hidden. AD and the unity SQL database are exact copies of the directory of the AD.

    Question 2:

The unit may be in its own field of voice mail only Setup. Unified Messaging doesn't work for this type of installation. The defination of unified whole is to have a mailbox for voice messages, faxes, emails, etc.. Understanding an AD, AD can have only one Exchange Org with multiply the servers. No matter anyway that slice you it, UM/unit will use this infrastructure and update your schema. If you choose a separate domain, she turns the unit in a voice mail configuration.

    question n ° 3

It is recommended to install the unit on a separate server in the same local network that Exchange is installed on. The unit must be connected to your existing PBX or callmanager. In a unique configuration to voicemail, you can install the unit/SQL and mail store everything on a single server for a smaller deployment. (1-500 subscribers nothing more, I would failover to separate mail store)

There are great on the site of Cisco docs who go on to design scenarios. Also, I highly recommend Pick-up the Holy bible of the unit. "Deployment of cisco unity" and Guide of Solutions it will answer any question you have.

    I hope this helps.

  • Unified Messaging - no voice mail in Outlook

    Guys,

I'm running a problem with implementing to the UCC 8.5 UM in an Exchange 2010 environment. All tests show good, calendar is accessible via the desktop... phone but no voice messages is issued to exhange.

Anyone have any ideas? It there any specifice or newspaper I do I look?

I don't use the viewmail, and the version of Outlook 2010

    Gareth

We have 8.6 with Exchange 2010 if Im not 100%, this will help, but try this:

First steps are basics - check the SMTP configuration is located in Control Panel > SMTP Configuration > server

Than go to Unified Messaging Services > select your option - (I used UnifiedMessaging)

    1. check that the type is defined (we used default Exchange/BPOS-D)

    2. check that the active box is checked

    3. set a display name (UnifiedMessaging is ours)

4 web-Based Authentication (we use NTLM)

5 web-Based Protocol (we use HTTPS) (we validate CERT for Exchange)

We use research that we have specified manually

This is where it gets bad - you use a balancer in front of your table of CASES (of course if you have a table) - we used the DNS for the VIP entry on our F5 and set the type of server to Exchange 2007/2010 Client Access server.

Check that your username is configured with the right policies and access in Exchange (there are limitation strategies to be applied in trade).

Then the most important measure - Message for email - relaying the Message

In the model of the user, you must make sure that the SMTP company is filled with the correct information for SMTP

If all this is good, that opens RTMT 8.91.  So that opens

Go to Cisco Unity Connection intended

You will need to select the server

That the check marks to be applied to the Message Tracking only Inbox tracks & Traces

some tests of noting the time trials and pass it to RTMT and pull the tracks. You should be able to examine the log files to remove the traces (in the trace and the alert) and go at the time to see what is (or is not the case)

You can also take newspapers by the SAE 2010 to check if there is any problem with the account to access the appropriate throttling policy.  My bet is that it is the SMTP corporate value since you indicate that the tests are passed. However, we have seen that if Exchange is not running the latest rollups in SP2 or higher he resets the connections to the policy by default and only impact on connections and could have repercussions on.  However, it seems akin to SMTP if messages arrive in the local mail store.

    Hope this helps

    Jeff

First go to tools > task management

There are traces of macro that you can configure

    Run it

  • change Unified Messaging

installed a stand-alone unit 3.1.5 via Manager cal 3 c/2, 2. Customer uses an SMTP for e-mail. He asks if he can change and use the Exchange running in unity.

Can it go up to unified messaging using exchange on unity server & if yes, what are the steps? new licenses? new install?

    Thank you

    Rob

Yes and Yes. Overhead involved to have e-mail (outlook) clients attached to the box and additional e-mail traffic really dictates that you should run Exchange server on its own box - we used to support ' all in one ' boxes for a small number of users (less than 200) but even that turned out to be embarrassing we certainly recommend a separate server for this.

    Hello

We have built a standalone ADF on Jdeveloper 11.1.1.7 application that interacts with the Oracle database using business components.

XxwfsMdmCustSummaryReportVO is a view object that is based on an entity object. After the application is redeployed on a server remote weblogic, whenever a user attempts to access the application, the page is empty. Even if the error disappears once this managed server is restarted. On checking the logs we could trace it down to the below error:

    oracle.jbo.PersistenceException: Houston-29114 ADFContext is not configured to process this exception messages. Use the code of exception stack trace and error to investigate the root cause of this exception. Root cause error code is Houston-26049. Error messages settings are {0 = XxwfsMdmCustSummaryReportVO}

    (1) increasing the Instance Idle time-out and put pool in common intervals has solved this problem.

    (2) expanding the ADF Manager controller exception and ignoring exceptions also solved this problem.

  • Filter certain virtual machines of notification of UNIFIED messaging?

We have usage screen v3.3.3. By default, it reports on all the virtual machines managed by the vCenter on which it is installed. I want to filter according to the report, the following types of virtual machines:

    -Models

    -Turning off VMs

    -To test virtual machines

To facilitate this, I moved all the virtual machines that match in one of the above categories in a folder called "non-production". But after reading the user's guide, I don't see how to exclude this folder from notification of UNIFIED Messaging.

Is this possible? Furthermore, if this method is not possible, is there another method by which I can achieve this?

    Thanks in advance.

So let's see how we can go about this...

First of all, virtual computers that are turned off and models (always off) are not being measured in the unit of vCLUM if you do not have to worry about them.

Regarding testing of virtual machines, what business reason do you exclude those of vCLUM reports? Basically, as long you have licensed vCAN applied to an ESXi host and each virtual machine running on the host of such should be dosed in vCLUM and reported on.

If you have a test environment, you need to be perpetual or demo licenses applied to the ESXi hosts supporting the test environment. Then you can go into your web portal of vCLUM at the location indicated below (categories of licenses/billing) and change the category of billing for license key demo / perpetual listed accordingly. With this method, you will be able to prevent the virtual machines, you want to be included in your monthly usage reports.

    I hope this helps!

  • Is it possible to use a server for multiple vCenter servers UNIFIED messaging?

In order to keep administration to all least, we would like to use a UNIFIED Messaging server for many devices of vCenter Server?

Is it possible and taken in charge?

You must install and register instances of update with each vCenter Server system manager. You can use an instance of Manager update only with vCenter Server system with which he is registered.

  • Confused on message settings

    Hi guys,.

I am very confused about the Messages app.

I have an iPhone OS 9.2.1 and 6 have no 3rd party apps installed and I have never installed one.

Under settings > Messages "iMessage" is turned on and 'Send as SMS' is turned off - I don't remember have never changed this setting. I wonder if this means that if the other person is not an iPhone they will always be not my message?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Hi Zuzubot,

If it is off to send as SMS, iPhone will only send messages as iMessage, which only works on iOS devices. Non-iPhones will not receive your messages. Game send as SMS on 'on' to achieve non-iPhones.

  • Problem with unified message box blackBerry Smartphones

    Hi all

I have problems with my BB Torch 9800.  When I use the message Unified Inbox to view emails, emails have regularly occurring blank spots where there should be some text.  The text is simply hidden.  When I display the same message to the individual email (gmail or hotmail) Inbox, the message is complete.  A battery pull solves this problem for a few hours or a few days and then it reappears. This problem started a week ago.  I did not recently updated from the BONE.  I didn't do a wipe and restore again... I was hoping to avoid this.  There was an update to the new BB (August 6, 2012).  There were some other 3rd party applications which have also been installed.  I have not tried UN-installing again.  Any thoughts?  Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello and welcome to the community!

I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, let it run for some time... long enough to know if the behavior will return. Normally, Safe Mode is designed for immediate diagnosis... nor for normal operations... but in your case, run long enough in mode SAFEW in order to know if the behavior will present will actually help diagnose.

If the behavior presents while in Safe Mode, then it is likely that your OS kernel became somehow corrupted, requiring these steps you're reluctant to undertake.

Good luck and let us know!

  • What does the message "settings on this page are not applicable to the Chrome or chrome based browsers (PPAPI)." mean, and that's the reason why I can't play games on Adobe Flash Player?

I'm playing the crazy Kingdom of God on Adobe Flash Player but the "settings on this page are not applicable to the Chrome or chrome based browsers (PPAPI)." message when I go to global settings to try to resolve the problem. This has something to do with my problem for the Kingdom of the mad God does not?

    Hi Jess.C.N,

Chrome uses the PPAPI plugin and the settings are managed using the online settings manager, not the local settings manager.  Click the 'Learn more about Configuration of Flash Player with Chromium-based browsers' to learn how to manage these settings for the plugin PPAPI browsers.  You can also go to Adobe - Flash Player: settings - Global Privacy Settings Panel Manager to manage the settings of PPAPI according to the browsers.

  • How do I install/upgrade vmware with UNIFIED messaging tools

    Dear guys,

I remember that it is possible to install/upgrade VMware tools using a basic upgrade that upgrades tools to the host.
    My questions are:

-It installs the tools also (instead of the upgrade only) cause I found a few virtual machines without tools installed...

-J' saw as a baseline for the VM hardware upgrade and I read somewhere that it is possible to go back to the previous version of HW, if the operation fails.

    Can you help me?

    Many thanks in advance,

    Daniele

There are built in VM baselines / going to upgrade VMware Tools and vHardware at the latest.  However, I do not think there is a process of failback if the upgrade of vHardware does not work.

We do not use Crossover to something other than the outher ESX(I) patches. For what it's worth, I prefer to do the vHardware manually, this way you can snapshot of the virtual machine before the upgrade and rollback if something happens.

Finally, don't forget, feedback tools must come first, then the vHardware.

  • Missing Message of blackBerry Smartphones icon

When I get a text message, it appears combined with my email list, with no separate indication that this is a message.

Since I get a lot of emails (which much unnecessary to respond to), the message gets lost in the e-mail list.  As far as I know, the message only adds to the email envelope icon, which is pretty useless to distinguish a text message.

Is it possible to have a separate mention when appears a text message?  And/or a record separated for text messages?

Hello and welcome to the community!

By default, all messages (e-mail, SMS, BBM, etc.) are put in the Messages main/app icon. Some people prefer this approach "unified messages", others prefer to keep things separate. Fortunately, the BB offers the possibility to split things according to your wishes.

On older OS levels (for example, breast and below the level of OS5), there has been very little control over this split... basically, only being able to split the TEXT Messages from Messages to an icon that is theirs (controlled by the Options settings in the Messages app). But, with the later levels of the operating system, several orders were provided:

For BES users, your BES Admin can push an E-mail BES icon only to your device. This solution is free, but must be conducted at the level of the BES server and will affect all users on the BES server.

    • KB15003 How to create an icon on the BlackBerry smartphone to BlackBerry Enterprise Server messages

If your device operating system level (starting in OS5 and above) has the possibility, you can dictate what shows in Messages:

    • Home screen > Messages > > Options > (the main Message list settings) or (parameters of the Inbox) or (management of the Inbox)
    • Uncheck the box that you want to delete Messages, which allows a separate for those icon that uncheck you

    Good luck!
