Uninstall and reinstall Windows 7 OEM on a Mac?

Recently, I bought Windows 7 OEM and wanted to know if you can uninstall windows 7 on Parallels on a MacBook Pro and reinstall on a new iMac and use the same product key?  Do you need to request a new product key?  I guess that's not once install, but only to be used with a computer at a time?

LARgirl

Because this is a version of Windows 7 OEM and you transfer to another computer (in this case and iMac), you may experience complications.

The OEM of Windows 7 versions are identical to the versions commercial full license with the following exception:

-OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft

-OEM Licenses are bound to the first computer you install and activate it on (in this case, your MacBook)

-OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard

-OEM versions does not move directly from an older Windows operating system

You can always try to install and reactivate by phone:

How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)

1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

(2) press the ENTER"" key.

(3) select your "country" in the list.

(4) choose the option "activate phone".

(5) stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

(6) explain your problem clearly to the support person.

  • I uninstalled and reinstalled and Firefox for windows 7 does not open. There is no error message - it just does not, even in safe mode. What should I do?

My computer is set to the automatic update in Windows 7 Home Premium and Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010. I am also running Norton 360. There was a major update for the office on 10-12-14, which seems to be at the start of my problems. This month, whenever my updates caused a restart, Mozilla has failed to open. I uninstalled and reinstalled several times, and it lasted only a day or two before it crashes again. This last time it is still not open. All instructions to solve problems appear to be based on the idea that the program is open and just questions. I can't even open it in Mode without failure.

I tried to reinstall, and it says it will launch automatically when the installation is complete, but it does not work. As Norton scan every download before it works, I am not sure if this is the problem since I never get the window that indicates the setup step by step for Firefox.

    What should I do?

Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. A clean reinstall is not the same as a regular resettlement performed using built-in installer. Please follow these steps:

Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

    1. Download the latest version of Firefox from mozilla.org office (or choose the download for your operating system and language on this page) and save the file to install it on your computer.
    2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (or open the Firefox menu

      Click the close button

      ).

    3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
      • Windows:

        • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
        • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
    4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
      1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
      2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

More information on the resettlement of Firefox can be found here.

WARNING: Do not use an uninstaller to third parties as part of this process. This could permanently delete your Firefox profile data, including but not limited to, extensions, cache, cookies, bookmarks, personal settings and passwords saved. They can be retrieved easily unless they have been backed up on an external device! See back up and restore the information contained in the profiles of Firefox.

Please report to say if this helped you!

Installation of Windows service does not work after Explorer 9 uninstallation and reinstallation of 8.  I followed several suggestions on this forum, but still no luck.  I ran the SFC system twice, who told me he had corrupted files.  "Some have been repaired and some might not be."  I then went in the event viewer after a start to the top and he stated that the 'Adobe APM service' is not found.  Also the "hpqddsvc' and the 'gupdate' is not found.  He tries to install something every time I start, but he abandoned.  I checked whether the system is on and disabled.  It's on.  There are a lot of small problems, but my main concern is the Adobe program.  I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe, but still get an error message that the Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. When you are working on your computer and install a new program, the installation suddenly fails. Now, you're left with a partly installed program. You try to install the program again, but you're unsuccessful. Or, maybe you have problems trying to remove an old program because the installation files are damaged.

Do not worry. Windows Installer Cleanup Utility may be able to help. You can use the utility to remove installation information for programs that were installed by using Windows Installer. Remember that Windows Installer Cleanup Utility does not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall on.

    B. put the computer in a clean boot, and then install it on the computer by downloading.
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts. Boot stops interference with other third-party software on the computer.
