Uninstall button missing in the folder programs and features.

2 possible workaround...
1.) double (2 clicks left) click on the program.
2.) left click the program, and then press ENTER KEY.

Do they work?

Yes, I read your last response. None of them has the button uninstall.
I only know workarounds. Don't know a permanent fix. I'm sorry.

Original title: what does it mean when you have a program installed, but when you open the folder "Programs and features" it shows the program installed but remains empty where should be the size of the file?

Shows information for the installed program, including the NAME, PUBLISHER, & INSTALLED ON (DATE), but under the info column of SIZE empty sound while 98% of all my installed programs show how much KB or MB "and specific program installed. Seems to lack the SIZE info only on any one of my Adobe programs and a few select other random programs?

    Hi AlinaSporl,

The size information is reported by the uninstaller for each program component. A program of uninstalling programs will not report this value, so the size of the program does not appear in this list.

Another way to get a close estimate of the total size for an individual program is to check the properties of this installation of programs parent folder in C:\Program Files.

You can read the following article and check:

  • How uninstall if FF is not in programs and features?

How do we uninstall FF if not in programs and features?

Also how is it still possible? 20 years and hundreds of programs I've never heard of a program is not listed by Windows.

    29 FF, Win 7 Pro 64-bit

Never mind. It is under M for Mozilla because Mozilla Firefox is of course that everyone besides me he calls all the time.

  • Impossible to uninstall any program in the menu programs and features

Recently my Windows Vista acted and allow me to uninstall (initially wanted to uninstall Photoshop Elements 5.0), but then I tried other programs and I can't uninstall any program. I get the message:

    Updates installed

You don't have sufficient access to uninstall (program name). Please contact your administrator.

I looked online for possible solutions. I first tried to enter the administrator account hidden, I did, hoping it would solve the problem, but the message still appears when I try to uninstall a program in this account too.

Then, I tried to open the UAC, hoping it would allow me to turn it off, someone said that may work, but it will not open when I click on it. There the small windows vista security shield icon next to him, making me think that it won't open because I don't have administrative privileges to open it, which is meaningless, because I'm connected to the real hidden administrative account.

I hope someone can help with this problem. Thanks for your time.

    Hi sman009,

Uninstall is a folder in the left in the registry pane when you navigate to the specified location.

I suggest that you look carefully and go to the right location you will find the key.

    I hope this helps!

  • I am unable to find all the programs and features in win7 as I want to uninstall yahoo messenger

I am unable to find all the programs and features in win7 as I want to uninstall yahoo messenger

That's what Yahoo have to say - http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?y=PROD_ACCT&page=content&id=SLN408&actp=lorax&locale=en_US

If the control panel is set to display the categories - programs - programs and features

If the control panel is set to display the icon - programs and features.

Yahoo Messenger should be in this list.

If you say programs and features isn't in the Panel or Yahoo Messenger is installed, but not in the list, then something else is wrong.

Try in "search programs and files" type "programs and features" (without the quotes). In the results list, you should see "programs and features" near or at the top of the list, click it.

If Yahoo messenger is installed and will not uninstall, see the above link to the bottom of his page.

  • Uninstalled program is still listed under "programs and features".

Original title: a program is listed in programs and features. It was uninstalled and deleted directories. Yet, it still shows in the list programs and features. How can I remove it?

I had installed this program before. I thought I had uninstalled. I tried to re-install this program, but cannot. I checked the list of programs, and it is still in the list, after being uninstalled. How do I remove it from the list?

    Hi n4ctf,

Take a look at this link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314481

Edit the registry to remove an entry. This link refers to Windows XP but I checked with Windows 7 and it works so it should work with Vista.

Once you have access to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall you will see a list of numbers. You will need to go through each of these numbered editions to find the program you want to remove. Click on a number in the left column, for example {08D605B4-DCD1-451F-ABD7-52E6BB868E4E} and you will see then the details is in the right column of the registry editor. See the 'full name' so check to see what the numbers program refers to.

Normally, I would recommend that you try to reinstall the application rather that tinkering with the registry, but as you have already tried unsuccessfully to re - install, change the registry could be the last option. By the way, before making any changes in the registry, make sure that you back up the registry first. This link of my website will show you how to back up the registry:http://vistasupport.mvps.org/backup_the_registry.htm

  • Hide programs in programs and features

There are several programs in the section programs and features in Control Panel, I want to hide the view, or uninstall.  These are mainly supplied with the computer, Microsoft programs for example Microsoft Visual C++ (10 list programs) and Microsoft Sync Framework (4 programs).

So the question is, can I uninstall these programs, or can I hide their view, with the possibility of viewing them at some time in the future?

    Hello

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community.

Microsoft Visual C++ is a commercial integrated development environment (IDE) from Microsoft for the C, C++, and C + c++ / CLI programming languages.

All units of Microsoft Visual C++ are must run programs installed on the computer. Various programs are designed to work with various Visual c++.

NET is a programming framework created by Microsoft that developers can use to create applications more easily. "a framework is just a bunch of code that the programmer can call without having to explicitly write."

Microsoft Does not recommend to uninstall or hide Microsoft Visual C++ or. NetFrame work.

Hope this information helps. Response to help you further. We are happy to help you.
