uninstall the toolbar Elf_1

I need help, uninstall the toolbar Elf_1. Whenever I have try a Wise Uninstall box appears saying "Could not open INSTALL. File LOG."I understand that this toolbar is not good to have on your computer.

You will need to use another program-Revo uninstaller to remove the toolbar:
  1. Go to revouninstaller.com.
  2. Download Revo uninstaller free (not the paid version) and follow the prompts to install. (the download will start automatically)
  3. Start the revo. If you do not know how, open any folder and paste this in
    the address bar:
    C:\Program Files Revo Group\Revo Uninstaller\revouninstaller.exe
  4. When the window opens, find the toolbar that you want to uninstall, right click
    It and select Uninstall.
  5. Click Yes in the popup window.
  6. Choose a way to uninstall. I recommend moderate or advanced.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Revo will create a system restore point, so you can roll back the
uninstall, if you wish. When the step 3 progress bar is completed the
    the toolbar uninstaller will load.
  9. Follow the instructions on the application to uninstall uninstalling. If the
program won't uninstall, close the window and go to the next step.
  10. Click Next.
In very rare cases, Revo still needs the files on
    These lists. If so, then.
  11. Revo will scan your hard drive for files and registry keys that the
uninstaller does not or could not remove. When it's done, click Next.
  12. There will be a list of registry keys to delete. Make sure that only the toolbar associates are selected
  13. Click Remove.
  14. Click Yes.
  15. Click Next.
  16. Revo will now show you a list of remaining files. Click on select all.
  17. Click Remove.
  18. Click Yes.
  19. Click Next.
  20. Click Finish.

You did! You may need to restart your
computer (Revo will tell you if you need to).

  • I want to uninstall the toolbar yahoo permanently, but the "Extensions" Manager is empty

I read many forums to support for how to uninstall the yahoo toolbar. Some suggested it uncheck the menu 'options', who is hiding, but does not remove it permanently (which I did). Others have said that the only way to permanently delete is to go to "Add-ons Manager", click on "Extensions", find the yahoo toolbar and remove it. Everyone said that worked for them. However, when I do that, the "Extensions" menu is empty. I can't scroll down and find it because there is nothing there.
So my question is twofold: why is my empty 'Extensions' when others have said that this work for them? And then how to uninstall that toolbar breath?

Hello, this sounds like the files in your profile folder that store the information on your extensions has been corrupted. Please go to firefox > help > troubleshooting information > profile - display folder... then windows Explorer should open your profile folder. there looking for files named extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite, extensions.sqlite - journal (and in some cases also extensions.txt, extensions.rdf). delete or rename the files and quit firefox, they will be regenerated the next time you start firefox.

I plugged into Magic Jack and installed Yahoo Toolbar version 2.4.8.20120412011105 on firefox.

The problem I have is that it is not located in the list of programs to remove, or under the extensions and Add ons.

I googled everywhere and I can't find an answer, I hope someone here can help me.

When the toolbar is not displayed in firefox > addons > extension you can try to remove it manually from your profile folder.

Go to firefox > help > troubleshooting information. there click on "View file" next to the profile directory and close firefox. an Explorer window should open up, navigate in the extensions folder and delete the file/folder that contains {635abd67-4fe9-1b23-4f01-e679fa7484c1} in his name and restart firefox.

where the toolbar always diverted some research/homepage settings, you can install the https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/searchreset/ to get rid of them.
