Uninstalled realtek ok Equium L40 wireless driver

My son for some unknown reason a uninstalled/wiped out the program wireless Realtek on Equium L40 - 17 m.
Now, it can not connect to the internet via Wi - Fi, so I tried with the Ethernet cable but still cannot establish a connection. I have downloaded the driver Realtek Toshiba site on a key but still t may establish a connection.

Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe stupid question now but do you know how the driver should be installed properly?
Can you please open the Device Manager and tell us if it's listed some unknown device.

LAN or WLAN cards are installed properly, they must be listed under network adapters.

  • Toshiba Equium L40 - 10U Wireless does not

I recently updated my Toshiba Equium L40 - 10U to Service Pack 2 for Vista and now my wireless does not work. I tried to update my driver - but its already been updated, checked for updates - all installed, ensured this driver has been activated. Yet I still can't wireless to work, I don't know what to do now!

I checked my network connections and my wan (PPPOE) miniport is disconnected when you try to connect it comes up with ERROR 815. Then I have to make sure that my internet connection options were correct - do not establish a connection and do not allow the proxy server and still get this message.

    Hello

    (1) do you have made no changes before this problem?
    (2) what is the exact error message / complete you receive?

Method 1: Follow the steps in the following articles and check if they help.

Step 1: Safe mode with networking
See the link below and check if the problem persists in safe mode with network.
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

Step 2: If the problem does not persist in Mode safe mode with networking, I suggest you to put the computer in clean boot mode and check if it helps.
    Clean boot mode
A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.
Try to install the updates in clean boot mode, and check if the problem still persists.
You can read the following article to configure the computer to boot:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: After completing the troubleshooting steps, please refer to clean the start link to set up your computer to normal startup mode.

Method 2: Follow the steps in the below items to Disable Antivirus and firewall and check if it helps.

Step 2: Turn Windows Firewall on or off

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.
Note: You should not turn off Windows Firewall unless you have another firewall is enabled. Turning off Windows Firewall may make your computer (and your network, if you have one) more vulnerable to damage caused by worms or hackers.

Method 3: Uninstall and reinstall the drivers

You can also try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers who can help you further.

  • Equium L40 - lost wireless connection

I have an Equium L40-156 under Vista and wireless became intermittent. The switch light would go out or maybe turn on at startup. In the end, I did a restore of the entire system from scratch and installed the latest drivers (Realtek) wireless.

This seemed to cure the problem and it has been fine for the last 2 months. However, the light is now out again (it was working an hour ago), and there is no wireless connection.

I tried a restore of the system and also installed the latest driver from Toshiba, but I still can't run. I hesitate to start over again once it takes all day to load programs and updates. Can anyone suggest what I can do or is this another bug of Vista?

    Great news

  • Equium L40 - 156 wlan need driver

    Hello

I recently had reinstall Vista on my laptop EQUIUM L40-156 but missing the drivers.
In particular, the wireless network lan card driver (use another pc to connect to the internet!).

Can someone point me in the right direction for the right drivers? As I have tried several drivers, but the operating system does not recognize any as being good.

    Any help is very appreciated.

You will need drivers for Realtek RTL8187B on your laptop.

Go to this page to download from Toshiba:

    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com (Support & downloads)

And download the Realtek wlan drivers. Make sure you only select your laptop model and the operating system. I assume you are using the 32-bit version of Vista to the standard address.

  • Equium L40 - 10z PSL41E - cannot install audio driver WinXP

    Hello!

I'm having a problem with the installation of the Windows XP sound card drivers

Computer laptop informatio, Toshiba Equium L40 - 10z (bought from PC World) PSL41e
    2 GB Ram DDR2 - 667 Mhz
    Core 2 [email protected]
    120 GB hard drive
Intel GMA 945 graphics card with shared memory

I can't find drivers for my laptop, the specification is indicated above. I have windows XP with service pack 3 installed and the system is unable to install drivers Realtek High Defination or audio drivers Realtek AC 97 ". I even tried the latest drivers version 1.86 but not its use.

I read the other posts on this forum and have tried the other model audio drivers as well, it seems that after running the installer from several other realtek audio drivers for windows XP THAT is of no use. I even tried to add material manually through the Device Manager and have to install these drivers for realtek high definition audio and the realtek ac 97 audio drivers.

Of course, this helps the drivers to install, but windows cannot activate the material with an error code 10 with a note of explanation on behalf of the driver in Device Manager.

I also tried to install the drivers of toshiba A100/A200 without exploitation, however, I read somewhere that there is a windows XP patch that is required to be installed, so that windows detect the chip high definition, which is on the motherboard. If one can provide a direct link to a driver with the .inf file that will have the information for the material, or if someone can advise (or provide a link for) according to microsoft update is required for windows XP, in the appropriate hardware detection, will be really useful.

I'm also sorry for my bad English I'm unable to articulate with the type of problem, I faced. But if anyone knows of a solution and additional information is needed, I will be happy to provide you with everything I know.

I'll be very grateful to anyone who helps address this issue. Looking forward to a positive response :).

    > have windows XP with service pack 3 installed
To my knowledge, that the XP SP3 is not published official. Only a beta version is available.
    Then go back to SP2!

    > the system cannot install drivers Realtek High Defination or Realtek AC' 97 audio drivers
Realtek AC 97 audio driver is not compatible! You must use the driver from Realtek High definition.

    > Of course, it helps the drivers to install, but windows cannot activate the material with an error code 10 with a note of explanation on behalf of the driver in Device Manager.

The problem is that you have not installed the MS XP patches that are necessary to get the sound working.

  • Wireless on WinXP Equium L40-10 x

    Hello

I own an Equium L40-10 X and I've restored WinXp because I need some specialized math software that do not work under Vista.

I installed an Atheros driver for the wireless, but it goes down sometimes without any reason (after a few hours of good navigation).

I try to turn it on and off and it would not come. The led light remains off.

Finally, he returned after a few restarts. (Restart fails, the pc is not yet aware then a wireless key exists and is not present in the Device Manager)

Can I request a refund or request a new laptop since I'm still on warranty.

  • Re: Equium L40 - Windows 7 and the wireless switch

I upgraded my Equium L40 to Windows 7 and now, wireless equipment and F8 function switch switch the WLAN on and outside. It is permanently.

Also, even if it is enabled in the Windows 7 power options, close the lid won't be thecomputer to sleep. If I close it turns off the screen but doen't make Windows 7 options.

When I upgraded to Windows 7, I chose the option to do as a new installation and therefore lost my Vista installation.

I have download all the drivers for Windows 7 on the Toshiba site, even if there were not many.

Is there something else I need to do for the WLAN switch and cover works with Windows 7? Any help gratefully received.

  • Equium L40 - question on the latest graphics driver

    Hello

I have a laptop L40 and I have problems with the display driver. ?

I use Win Xp SP3 I have all the latest drivers including Bios ver 5.5

The machine works fantastic and I am very happy with it, except for some graphics programs the only not to include/display as it should.
Is there a more basic graphics driver, I can try to see if it helps to solve my problem. If so, please give a link.

Thanks for any help coming next.

    Phil_H

    Hello

The latest graphics drivers are already published on the European driver Toshiba page.

If you want, you can see some graphics drivers for Satellite L40 / Pro L40.

These units are very similar to the Equium L40 and possibly there are other, more recent graphics driver version

But generally all available drivers are already displayed on the page of Toshiba.

  • Equium L40-10 X - Wireless disappeared?

I have an Equium L40-10 X. It comes with wireless built in and I have used for over a year without any problems. I have now disappeared from my laptop! Wireless light does not illuminate and it is more listed in my network cards. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Also interesting to note that I am not expert so fool proof tips would be great.

Missing from one day to the other? In fact, really strange.
OK, let's see. Have you tried reinstalling the drivers wlan?

You can find them on the Toshiba download page: http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com (Support & downloads)

Just in case, check if the hardware switch is off or if disabled via the FN + F8 key combination.

  • Equium L40: Cannot depend on the wireless Lan card

I tried to turn on my abilities wirelesss using FN + F8 as shown in my manual, however when I run a search for wireless connections to repeatedly get a message saying that the wireless features are not lit and it fails to correct the problem.
    I use an Equium L40.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Hello

I don't really know what you're doing wrong. The fact is that WLAN card must be turned on in the same way on all Toshiba laptops.

At the first switcher WLAN to on the situation and after doing this light WLAN must be turned on. After you do this using FN + F8 key combination and make sure that the WIFI is enabled.

So now you should be able to use the wireless network on your laptop card. Open ConfigFree application and choose RADAR to locate the WLAN in your area.
I do the same on several laptops at home (old and new models).
