Uninstalling software WRT54G

Hi all

I have been using a WRT54G Router for many years.  Great router!  I have upgraded to an EA3500 and need an answer to a question.  Is there a software for the WRT54G that must be uninstalled before installing the EA3500?  I remember an installation CD for the WRT54G running which I did more.  I looked to uninstall all over my computer and cannot find anything.  I am running Vista.

I'd love to help appreciate with sunrise the new router and running.  Are there any problems that may exist to upgrade to the EA3500?  I have so many devices connected through the router noiw I thought it was time to upgrade.

Thanks in advance for your help.

No no software to install.  Install the new router.

HOW TO UNINSTALL software distribution service 3.0

    Why would you do that?

    You use Microsoft Security Essentials?

If you see Restore Points in your system restore calendar who say:

    Software Distribution Service 3.0

Restore Points see you who belong to the Distribution of software Service (SDS) and are created when Windows Update detects something to do.

Windows Update will download the updates in the folder c:\windows\SoftwareDistribution and once the download is complete, and at the start of the installation of updates (automatically or stop or manually - depending on your configuration) a new SDS Restore Point is automatically created before updates are installed.  After that the SDS Restore Point is created, then the updates are installed.  It works this way so you can still use a Restore Point to go back to a previous time before the updates were installed.

The updates could be the usual things like updates to security updates of the operating system XP, patch, or if you are running Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) and it will update its definitions, you will see a restore SDS everytime MSE Point updates (because it is considered as an update from MS).

If you run MSE, you see a Restore Point of your configuration / SDS each day or more a day depending on suite how often updates come out.   The appearance of these SDS Restore Points can be worrying if you don't know what they mean, but you can always find what it means if one needs to solve a problem.

If you run MSE, expect to see the restoration of the SDS shows up every day or so and that, usually just means that your MSE got an update (not a problem).

Now do you really want to uninstall your SDS 3.0?

  • Uninstall software update Apple says error in seller contact package package unstaller

Try to get itunes working to make a backup of my faulty iphone before repair.

First-itunes does not start says error. I'm trying to fix it, who said success but same error when you try to start it.

Then uninstall completely worked. Then reinstall that seemed to be over except for a message "an older version of Apple software update already exists" then he went down and install itunes apparently had not been completed.

Then I try to remove the update from the apple software and executed by an error in the installation program - it says there is an error in the installation and contact the supplier of the installation package. Same error if I run the uninstall command line program.

Try to repair the Apple Software Update of programs & features Control Panel and then try to update iTunes again.

For general advice, see troubleshooting problems with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.

Review the other boxes and other support documents list to the bottom of the page, in case one of them applies.

The more information box has direct links with the current and recent if you have problems to download, must revert to an older version or want to try the version of iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) as a workaround for problems with installation or operation, or compatibility with third-party software.

Backups of your library and device should be affected by these measures but there are links to backup and recovery advice there.

    Hello

Should give us a little more information than we can help so that notebook and OS make you have?
    What mouse do you have?

Normally, you can uninstall a software application if you go into control-online adding Panel & remove programs. Select the software for the mouse then click on uninstall.

If it doesn t work you need a special program. Therefore, I prefer CCleaner. You can also remove programs with this cold, you can clean the Windows registry and system files. It s very useful and can make your Windows faster.
    Check this box: http://www.ccleaner.com/

If the normal uninstall in Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs does not work, either

    1. use the Windows Installer Cleanup utility to remove damaged your system installation.  It is no longer supported by Microsoft, but you can always download it from download sites of 3rd party like http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459 N.B.: Microsoft stopped supporting this utility because it sometimes damaged other components installed on the computer (Microsoft has provided no details about these 'damage').

    Hello

1 tried the option to uninstall in the HP folder - nothing.

2 tried the Remove programs in the control panel - nothing.

  • Uninstalling software

I managed to uninstall all the HP software with the exception of the basic software, which cannot be uninstalled using the Windows XP Add or remove software, so I have to manually delete the files. I managed to delete all the files except for HPStatusBL.dll and HPStatusUI.dll, which are defined as access denied. How can I get rid of these 2 files?

    Hello

The only way now is to remove these is to boot into safe mode. What is happening is that these two dll files are loaded in memory. Once you start in safe mode which load only the system drivers that you can remove the HP folder. May I ask why you want to remove the software?

To start in safe mode, do one of the following:

If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you need to try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then stop and restart your computer.

If your computer has more than one operating system, use the arrow keys to select the operating system you want to start in safe mode, and then press F8.

In the display Advanced Startup Options, use the arrow keys to select the option of safe mode you want and press ENTER. For more information about the options, see startup options (including safe mode).

  • DeskJet 2050 has. Windows 7 does not recognize not the printer. Cannot uninstall software.

I installed the software using the supplied floppy.  However, when the printer is connected via USB, windows 7 doesn't recognize it.  I tried all of the solutions posted on the internet.  I cannot remove the software, the 'Impossible' receive following message now

2081883398 error: failed to uninstall the device CN14G1NF505D1

In fact, I want to install this printer... but could not find a way to do it.  I tried using the manual "Add a printer" option but get the message "access denied."

Finally, called MS support and they spent four hours in the control of my PC trying to solve the problem. Cost me $149. But they get get than this sort in the end.

Seems there was some sort of printing software "ghost" taking up the port... Probably from the HP930 that I had before. Once they have cleared that, everything worked as it is supposed to.

I still have a ghosting of the 930 in the dialogue of the printer, but it does not hurt so I'm leaving it alone.

Thanks for your suggestions. Wish they had worked. It would have saved me $149. ;-)

  • Remains after uninstalling software C3180

    Windows XP home SP3

I uninstalled the printer C3180 and removed from printer settings and files removed manually from HP, but at startup, I get 3 messages as follows:-

    «"Windows cannot find C:\PROGRAM HP IMAGING\BIN\HPQTRA08."» EXE ".

    «"Windows cannot find C:\PROGRAM FILES\HEWLITT - Packard HP SOFTWARE UPDATE\HPWUSCHD2."» EXE ".

    "" Windows cannot find C:\PROGRAM FILES\HP\HPCORETECH\HPCMPMGR. "" EXE ".

Can anyone tell me please where I can find what appeals to these executables and how to stop them?

    Kind regards

    Rog.

Once again, thanks a lot for your response Bob.

I seems to have cured the problem. As is often the case, that it was all down to the stupid user rather than an eccentric system. I forgot to remove these exes of starting grid of "Win Patrol."

Thanks for the tip on the files on the disc to instal and I apologize if I caused unnecessary work.

    Best regards

    Rog.

  • Do not use and uninstalled software

I uninstalled my Adobe Elements 10.  I do not use it and he's sitting on a shelf.  I want to give my friend the software but it is for me.  It really seriously is not used on any computer I own.  I can do this or it will be problems to register the software, it is against the rules/law?  I do not know the rules and want to do the right thing.

I have a Dell Inspiron 600 m, XP SP3 and can operate in Mode without failure.

    Thank you very much.

    Yes, you said that... :)

In Support of Comodo Forums, there are many, many uninstall problems which go back several years and go on for pages and pages and pages - try things, perhaps, could be, could be, etc.

Some type AV programs have their own special uninstall tools.  I don't know whether or not the Comodo.  I checked my notes and I don't have to Cómdo.

When uninstall fail, some people have luck with this product:
    http://www.GlarySoft.com/products/utilities/absolute-uninstaller/

Some people seem to reinstall everything and then try again to uninstall, and sometimes it market.

I found this link on their forums that has a few Comodo uninstall ideas:

    https://support.Comodo.com/index.php?_m=Knowledgebase&_A=viewarticle&KBArticleID=10

If none of this works, you can continue this Comodo problem in their forums.  Tell them you found this BSOD, here is my info, here is my report discharges BSV, etc. and how uninstall you Comodo, during the uninstallation has failed?  Clearly your BSOD come from their product.

I hope you understand that I am not a great help because I do not use Comodo and won't install to try to understand why it does not uninstall it and what to do about it.

Right now, I would say that you have a problem with Comodo - is not an XP problem.

If the links above do not help, I would take it to them in their forums, where they have the Comodo product experts who work on this stuff throughout the day.
