Unknown caller, leaving voice messages

Does anyone know how to prevent a caller to leave voice messages? Initially it was a normal number that I blocked. Now, it appears as Unknown caller and leaves voice messages all the time. I think it's one of these robo-dialers as voice messages, it leaves is just constant beep like a fax machine. I get about 5-7 calls from this number every day and it leaves a virtual machine all the time. Quite boring. I think that this beyond the normal settings on the iPhone so maybe there is an application that can do?

You can block someone from calling or texting you in two ways:

To block someone who has been added to the Contacts on your phone, go to settings > phone > blocked > add new. All Contacts window appears where you can scroll through the names and type the name of the contact you want to block. You will be taken back to the window blocked with the name added to the list of blocked contacts.

Parameters, contacts can be also blocked selection of Messages or Facetime and then following the instructions above.

In the case where you want to block a number that is not stored as a contact in your phone, go to the phone application > Recents. Watch the number (or name) you want to block and tap the blue 'i' with a circle around it to the right of the number. Scroll to the bottom of the plug contact that appears and select "Block this caller." The message "You will not receive FaceTime, messages or phone calls from people on the red list" appears with two options: block contact or cancel. Hit the block Contact to add the number to the blocked list, bad.

Block Messages by selecting the message with the contact and typing Contact thread in the upper right. Select the information icon and move forward with the same instructions as in the most recent in the phone tab.

  • Listen and call pick-up during the recording of the voice message.

Is it possible in the 4.0 unit (4) with the Callmanager 4.1 integration (2) to implement the following feature?

A caller call out for the recipient, but the recipient does not meet the call. The callmanager before the call to the voice mail pilot unit, but when the unit starts recording the message to the recipient can hear it during the registration phase and if it then takes the phone tracks back to his phone call, and they can start the conversation. If the recipient picks up the phone during the recording, the unity server automatically removes the voice message. It is the same functionality that is old voice message recording devices in the PSTN.

This feature is planned for version 4.2 to come next year at the beginning - it is called 'message monitor' - you can listen to voicemail as they are saved and select to pull this caller out of voice mail and talk to them live if you wish.

  • IPCC Express, option for the appellants out of the queue and leave a message.

We are running 4.0 (5) IPCC Express improved. I need to configure our current ICD script so that when the appellants are held in the queue, they can press 0, out of the queue and leave a voice message. The ICD script we use is an exact copy of the script icd.aef by default on the system, it has just been copied and renamed. My question is, what are the steps I need to use the script to enable this feature?

Two options. Option 1: Use the IPCC completely to save messages and manage messages as you seem to did so. Option 2: Transfer the caller to your voicemail number pilot and use your voice mail system to record the message.

    Steps to Option 1:

1 early on in the script, use the step to read the Contact information call to capture the called number and save it as a variable.

    2. use the step to get a string to allow the caller to press 0 to leave a message. On the Filter tab, allow only the key 0 be hurry.

    3. in the leg successful step to get a string of digits, add the following steps.

    a. contact Dequeue step.

    b. reading quick step that contains a prompt that asks the caller to record a message after the tone.

    c. step recording, which records the message saved in a Variable of type "Invite".

    d. use the Terminate step to end communication with the appellant (you can add a quick step before that game if you want to tell the caller that the message has been saved).

    e. at this point, you can either use writing document step to record voice messages in a folder on the server of the IPCC, or you can use a series of other steps to place a call to the queue and play the message the following agent that meets, or you can attach it to an email and send it it make the address email of your choice (or a combination).

I have this HUGE warning. I had several problems with what I've been able to overcome, but it requires a bit of diligence.

-L' registration step requires a termination character (# or *). If the caller hangs just straight up, the script returns an exception and drop dead. You can manage the 'contactinactiveexception' using a step on the Exception and have it go to a label that you can put it as the first step under the leg successful registration step. In this way, if the user hangs up, the script handles the exception by going directly to the successful step. You can clear the exception just after that.

-You will also want to handle this exception before Terminate step. If the caller hangs up and you try to put an end to this contact when he is no longer active, the script will always die, and the remaining steps will not run.

We use the option to place a call in the queue. In itself, this requires a lot of thinking to make sure that the script is not die when an exception occurs. I ended up putting some exceptions in place where if there is a problem and that the recorded message never makes it to an agent, a log file is stored on the server as well as messages stored in a .wav file. Then, an email is sent to the contractor with these attachments also.

Thus, it is as effective as make you it. Try to keep things simple at first, and then build on that to improve the experience of the appellants.

    Steps for Option 2:

    1. use the step to get a string to allow the caller to press 0 to leave a message. On the Filter tab, allow only the key 0 be hurry.

    2. in the leg successful step to get a string of digits, add the following steps.

    a. contact Dequeue step.

    b. call no redirection to the number voicemail pilot.

I have not used this option, so I can't say with certainty how Callmanager will handle this call. The voicemail system will need to see the call as transmitted from a number that has a voice mail on the system account. If this does not work, you can use a dummy CTI Port with a fake extension that is configured to transfer to voicemail, then the voicemail box must be associated with the wrong extension. If you use Cisco Unity, you will also be able to use a routing rule to force the IPCC calls to a particular mailbox. Call the Viewer from the unity tools depot allows you to see the way in which the appeal is made to the unit.

I hope that helps you and that it is not too verbose.

  • Play a voice message before receiving faxes

I have a HP 6500 has connected to my desktop computer that is connected to a telephone VoIP (MagicJack) system.  Through the MJ I can receive faxes, that part works fine.  My question is:

Is it possible to have the HP (or my computer) answer the call, then play a voice message before receiving faxes so that callers 'voice' can be a warning that they called a fax line until they get a blaireing beep sound in their ear?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

  • Respond to a voice message to another Subscriber 4.2 (1)

I noticed that I can't answer another Member who left me a message

    -box of the unit

    -response from Subscriber to Subscriber

It was the option '4' to respond to voice mail with a voice message, but no luck. I also tired of "44" to call the Subscriber back, no chance.

Has it been replaced by Live recording? or I do something wrong?

    Thank you

    Tommer

    couple here things.

Simple answer (4) is always void messages. Period.

Live webcam response (44) can be lit in the COS.

Neither is offered if the message is not labeled from another Subscriber. So I guess that the voice message from an external caller.

Is there a setting where I can have a beep or vibrate every 1-5 minutes when I get a voice message or a missed call, so I know (not counting the blinking led)?

It is not a setting in the operating system native, other that to your SMS messages to inform you audibly when you receive a message voice (your carrier VM notifications are sent by SMS). And who don't you like every five minutes.

For this function you will need BBAlerts of Handango.com

  • Please share your entries on Eg1 and Eg2 dependence of voice messaging port to be hardware based or can be added on a basis of carta ala?

    Hello

Please share your entries on Eg1 and Eg2 dependence of voice messaging port to be hardware based or can be added on a basis of carta ala?

1 pls correct if wrong, the number of voicemail ports depends on which model of supported connection of the unit hardware is selected. In addition, the number of voice messaging ports cannot be added as a carta ala and it comes with the hardware.

Eg1; with the unit Connection8.6 on MCS7845 standalone server would support 250 voicemail ports and if the connection of the unit is used in active-active mode then total 500 voicemail ports would be available with the cluster of connection of the unit.

Eg2; On a platform of the UCS, the UCS C210 M2 Server connection unit 8.6 with capacity of 10,000 EGGS of voicemail, the voicemail ports would be available:

(i.) the limits of stand-alone Configuration:

    • 150 ports G.711 and G.729a (combined TUI, VUI or TTS)
    • 35 ports iLBC or G.722

(ii) limits for the active/active Cluster Configuration:

    • 300 ports G.711 and G.729a (combined TUI, VUI or TTS)
    • 70 ports iLBC or G.722

(iii) EGGS during model for the Connection8.6 with 10000 EGGS Voicemail capacity 300 GB HARD drive unit is installed on UCS C210 M2 server, he would in his own assign vCPU = 4, RAM = 6 GB, vHDD = 300 GB 150 ports of voicemail and.

If more than 150 voicemail ports are necessary, then we can have the Connection8.6 of the unit using the active/active mode, then 300 voicemail ports would be available.

However, if the number of necessary voicemail ports is more than 300, then need to install, Connection8.6 20 000 unit model voicemail OVA on UCS C210 M2 Server capacity. This model has according to the capacity of voice messaging port:

    Stand-alone Configuration limits:

    • 250 ports G.711 and G.729a (combined TUI, VUI or TTS)
    • 60 ports iLBC or G.722

Limits for the active/active Cluster Configuration:

    • 500 ports G.711 and G.729a (combined TUI, VUI or TTS)
    • iLBC 120 ports or G.722

    Concerning

    Sumit

There is a hardware support and licensing aspect for the number of ports.  From a support perspective, the number of ports is limited by the physical server hardware (e.g., platform) or virtual resources (i.e., as specified in the files of EGGS).  However, the number of ports, you can configure is also based on how many ports you are licensed for the.  For example, you can have a server that can support 250 ports but if your license file contains only 16 ports then you will only be able to configure 16 ports on the system.  I have a scenario where a customer needed to add more ports; However, I don't think it would be a problem.

When you talk about port capacities for the connection of the unit, I would recommend that you focus more on the ability of the server port unique compared to the ability of the cluster for normal operations.  Connection of the unit is designed as a cluster in active / active in the intention to provide 100% failover of services if a server is offline.  The recommended design is that the Subscriber must manage all calls with the possibility of overflow to the transformation Editor.  IOW, if you want to support 500 simultaneous calls on a consistent basis but each server is capable of supporting 250 ports on its own then only a failure of a server would immediately block 50% of services.

    Hello

    Let me rephrase your need:

If I call you, you hear me something ("Hey I'm not here, do not leave a message '), but you don't want to leave me a message.

I think that this must be configured in your account at the level of your carrier. This is not your mobile phone, it's on the servers of your operator.

  • Connection of the 9.1 - Option to leave a Message without phone Rining unit

We are replacing an old system of Siemens which has an option to leave a message for a user without sounding all.

I won't be an all the time thing, so I don't want to set the transfer of rules never ring.  I would like to create an option off of a call handler which gives the caller an option to select a mailbox - by extension or leave a Directory Manager - to leave a message for, record the message, then send but never ring the phone.

Is this possible with the connection?

    Thank you

  • Can I listen to a voice message then save as a new voicemail?

Can I listen to a voice message then save as a new voicemail?

I need to be able to listen to a voice message, and then save this as new voice mail as a way to remind me that voicemail requires further action.  Is it possible to do?

I'm on AT & T with an iPhone 5s.  Latest iOS.

As to listen to voice messages via the carrier's own analog servers, it cannot be marked as not read times read.

One idea would be to save them as voice memo, or share, as offered here - How to save voicemails on your iPhone - Apple Support

Is it possible to block calls "Unknown Caller"?

I know how to block calls from numbers that are unrecognized, but when no phone number is detected, it doesn't seem to be a way to block these calls. (When you click on the "I" (information) in the histoet call, no option "call block" does exist.

It is not possible on the phone, but contact your wireless carrier. Some offer this choice to their end, until the calls are even connected to your phone.
