Unknown device - ACPI\HPQ0006\2 & DABA3FF & 0 on Compaq 8510p

Because of a rootkit I had to reinstall Windows XP Pro on a laptop HP Compaq 8510 and now I have an unknown device in Device Manager.
It's a device instance ID and it is ACPI\HPQ0006\2 & DABA3FF & 0. (it is certainly NOT the TPM :-)
The driver may not even be located on the driver and application recovery DVD.
Download driver to resolve this issue, do you have ideas? Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hello

Download and install the driver for buttons to quick launch on the link below.

FTP://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp49001-49500/sp49104.exe

Once the installation is complete, restart the computer and check if this solves the problem.

Kind regards

I m not 100% sure, but I think that this unknown device is * Toshiba HDD shock protection * and you would need such driver to make it work on Win XP.

    Hello Christof

AFAIK ACPI has something to do with the power interface. I found an info where is mentioned that ACPI establishes standard interfaces based on the OS configuration and power on laptops, desktops and servers.

In my opinion, you should check the BIOS settings. Very important is that the configuration of the device option is set to Set up by BONE. I had a similar problem. I didn t know what it may be, but I had no problem using Notepad.

  • Unknown device - ACPI\CPL0002\2 & DABA3FF & 2

Hello! Can someone help me please. I am running Windows 8.1 installation clean on my Alienware m17x R4 and noticed the unknown device. I already tried Googling and downloading various driver to try to fix this problem, but still the problem persists. I tried updating the drivers for the application of the OSD, free fall sensor, Chipsets... Nothing seems to work... I read that it can be a network without wire/pilot judgment, but I have already installed the airplane mode ON / Off one that works perfectly. Any help will be much appreciated.

    Hello!

The ID of the hardware seems to be for the pilot of the OSD, try to re - install using the latest version of this link. I also recommend that you consult this section to ensure that you have installed all the drivers in the correct order.

Let me know how it goes!

  • Unknown device ACPI/HPQ0004

    Hello

I installed the 64 bit, win 7 on my dv8-1190ef, but there is an unknown device (ACPI/HPQ0004).

Please help me solve this problem!

That's the guard HP 3D drive.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-76187-1 & LC = on & DLC = in & CC = US & Product = 4011375 & sw_lang = & os = 4063

This is a slightly different model of dv8, but it will work. I guess HP forgot a list for your specific model number. I couldn't find FRO your support in any case page.

And here's a more recent version

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-82853-1 & LC = on & DLC = in & CC = US & os = 4063 & Product = 4229850 & sw_lang =

I found this one for a HP Envy, but as mentioned, it will work fine for a dv8, or any other laptop with burner HP hardware 3D of the guard.

    Hello

I just finished a * CLEAN * Vista install on my Satellite A105-S2091.
    Installation was smooth and clean.

After installation of all recommendations * DRIVERS * (I chose not to install * ANY * Toshiba utility).
I was left with two unknown devices in Device Manager.

    One was ACPI\TOS1901.
After searching the forums, I found a thread that indicated that the installation of the supervisor of the Toshiba password utility, would be fixed
    This device, which it did.

I stayed with unknown device ACPI\TOS1900. A search here havenot been useful forums.

  • Satellite P70 - Has: win 8.1: unknown device ACPI\TOS620A

    Hello

I installed the Version of Enterprise 8.1 Win on my P70 - A Satellite. All devices in addition to ACPI\TOS620A\2 & DABA3FF & 2 are supported with the right drivers.

Does anyone know which device is, for example the Bluetooth Driver?
The Device Manager confirms that I have Bluetooth for Andoid, generic Bluetooth and Microsoft Bluetooth devices.

I have downloaded bfdp - 20131011113844.zip and run the exe file. I wonder this exe is not shows something like "Installed successfully" or more.

So I don't really know if Bluetooth is really installed and if Bluetooth is the question.

    Your
    Stephan.

The ACPI\TOS620A unknown device seems to be related to a Toshiba HDD Protection Utility.
Visit the page of the Toshiba UE driver and download the HDD Protection Utility released for Windows 8.1

    Your problem should be solved

  • Satellite C850 - 19(d) - unknown device ACPI/TOS6205 Windows 7

    I am a unknown device in windows 7 on a toshiba Satellite C850 - 19(d).
    The hardware ID is ACPI/TOS6205.

Suggestions of Al in the forum and the net did not work:

It is not bluetooth: the two drivers in the drivers download page, none has solved the problem:

    Can anyone help with this?
    Thanks in advance

    Hello

The ACPI/TOS6205 seems to be the Bluetooth device.
    Satellite C850 - 19(d) was equipped with a Realtek RTL8188CE - VLSA WLan / Bt combo card.
That's why I m sure its BT device.

You said that you have installed the driver BT but it didn t work.
I think that you did it wrong.

The point is that WLan / Combo cards needs a filter driver BT package.
IF you need to install: Realtek WLan driver, then driver Realtek BT filter package and, finally, the battery Toshiba BT.
