  Hi all!

  I grabbed by BB Curve 8520 just now and even if I like it, I am not completely satisfied with it. I use my BB on the carrier of Vodafone here in Germany, I have the newest OS installed (v4.6.1.286 (Platform 4.2.0.122)), at least the continuous update tool to tell me there is no update available for my device.

  I have a number of problems with it, namely:
  -When I watch videos on YouTube, my BB often ends the reading after precicely 01:18 minutes of reading, saying that the wireless connection has been disconnected. I can resume playback again immediately, but it is still very annoying.
  -Playback quality on YouTube is sometimes poor. The image is blurry or distorted with previous keyframes (apparently, the media player lack sometimes keyframes). Also, when I look at mode full screen, and playback will stop for buffering, it does not return mode full screen automatically. I have to click on the menu button and click on "Fullscreen" twice.
  -After receiving several messages on ICQ, the red light flashing, if I read the posts or not. I can only erase the LED of a single message and its reading.
  -L' device is generally quite slow. It keeps stalling sometimes for a few seconds and is particularly slow when rendering of the sites a bit more complex. (The browser repeat me "Requesting the script", "execution script...'"). Sometimes I wait some minutes before I can start browsing a Web site.

  I hope someone can help me with this, or at least tell me that those who are known issues that RIM are trying to fix.

  From what you have posted here, you have not yet tried what I recommended above. With this process, you are free to use any carriers OS package. There is nothing about the use of a carriers OS package that locks your BB to them. If you use one that is not your 'home' carrier, then simply insert, between steps 1 and 2, the deletion, on your PC, a file named PROVIDER. XML.

  First check this page from catalog and do not forget that your country is on the list of countries supported that supports BBM7 http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/3729/?lang=en .

  If you are able to see your country in the supported list, then you can try again, for this first uninstall or delete any existing verson of BlackBerry Messenger. On your home screen, go to Options > device > application management > delete BlackBerry Messenger from this list.

  Once it is perform a battery pull reboot by removing the battery while your unit is powered, wait a min, then reinsert back. After the reboot of your Explorer browser BlackBerry at www.blackberry.com/bbm and the most recent available for your device. After reinstalling see if that helps.

  I think you can try two things: the soft reboot, and if it does not, the hard reboot. Don't worry, you can not lose data with these two reboots.

  Soft reboot:
  1) struck the following three keys at the same time:
  -Alt
  -Left shift
  -Remove
  (2) wait 2 minutes for the Blackberry to wake up.

  Hard reboot:
  (1) your BlackBerry smart phone is on
  (2) remove the battery and wait a minute
  (3) replace the battery
  (4) wait 5 minutes for the device to wake up.

  It must be given to the BlackBerry device. Call your Orange customer service and ask if your data plan for BlackBerry. There is a difference.

  Have you tried to resolve your profiles? The icon is on the desktop of Blackberry Handheld. You can go to the icon and ADVANCED to edit your profiles or create a new profile.

  Suppose you want to keep the 320988 password as you mention on your old post and never entered alt for the password key leaves the initial configuration will be:

  Ah thank you very much. I tried safe mode, but it does not work. I guess I'll have to reload the software, this is actually my second 9360 within 2 weeks and the previous had exactly the same problem. Could this be a problem with OS 7?
