Unstable update after execution of NeroFirstAidKit

On my Windows 7 64 bit, I had Nero and Nero multimedia 2010 Platinum 2015.  Because of the bad burn video results in the 2015 version Nero forum advised me to contact their Technical Support.  They provided NeroFirstAidKit to remove all Nero to reinstall later.  I think that the process of removing Nero may have made Windows Update unstable.  Too often I found myself closing out of it when the program shows that he was unable to run.  By clicking on the try again button does not work.  I have to close and restart the update.  This reddish screen with the Try Again is too often.  If usually, I set the system restore points, I have only one; but I have a backup of the registry file.

Hello

Thank you for the update.

"Since you mention that'after closing and reopening, update is OK ' is the fixed number?

If this isn't the case, then I would ask you to reset the Windows Update components and check if that helps.

How to reset the Windows Update components?

Important: this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

  • Tests for insert after execution of the ApplyMRU

    Apex 4.0, tabular forms.

I have 2 tabular forms. First is a master. Second is a detail. On pages separate.

I would like to automatically redirect to the detail, if a new record is inserted on the master.

I thought that maybe I could test #MRI_COUNT # for 1 after execution of the APPLYMRU.

    So I.

    1. establish a process after APPLYMRU that retrieves the high key out of the master and update a page with the value element.

2 set up a branch to call detail and set a page element in detail to the master page to the #1 element.

Tried to make subordinate them to point value #MRI_COUNT = # = 1. Neither the fire.

Is the concept of test #MRI_COUNT # wrong? Is there a better way to do it.

    Thank you!

I came up with a solution that works. Not very elegant. A little brutal. But it works.

1 insert a PL/SQL block process that runs on submit before ApplyMRU. Captured key high on the table. Moved to Pxxx_OLD_KEY.

    2. Insert a PL/SQL block process that runs on submit after ApplyMRU. Captured key high on the table. Moved to Pxxx_NEW_KEY.

    3. put a branch to the detail page that has unwound on condition that Pxxx_OLD_KEY! = Pxxx_NEW_KEY and SUBMIT button. Past Pxxx_NEW_KEY to the details page.

If there were updates only the front and after the key would be the same. If REMOVE the button has been pressed the direction would not run.

Not particularly proud of it. But it works so far.

  • TestStand 2014 F1 Patch removes the report itself after execution of finishing

    Hi all

today I installed the patch 2014f1 TestStand and after that, I recognized that TestStand removes my reports of ATML5 by itself after execution of finishing.

I'm active On-The-Fly Reporting and store reports in different places for each sequence. This place, I determine in the PREUUT callback.

During execution, I see that the report is generated exactly at the specified location, but if the execution is complete they will be removed immediately. I don't know why?

Do I have to remove the f1patch? Someone at - it the same problems?

I will be happy if someone has a suggestion what to do.

    Thank you very much!

    Hello

I created a sample file to show the effect (see attachment). I think I found the problem and it's my fault.

I have seen that it is me who deletes files (SetReportPath.vi). Before you begin the statement I want to erase the reports directory.

When I work with my custom GUI LabVIEW (uses parts of the SimpleUserGUI-example of TestStand, singlePass-execution) everything works fine. The SetReportPath.vi removes the old reports and after the execution of this new report remains in this directory. PreUUT-reminder, therefore, seems to be executed only once. The same thing happens if I use TestStand SequenceEditor for the execution of the sequences and use there "SinglePass.

When you use the SequenceEditor TestStand to perform sequences in Mode TestUUT the new report is deleted after that first Test USE ended and I click on stop in the USE Information-dolls. I think the PreUUT callback is called here and SetReportPath.vi deletes my report. This seems logical.

With this routine I'm working now for two months and I noticed that the "deletion" just after the installation of the Patch TestStand2014f1. So I think that there are some changes by calling PreUUT-reminder, but I'm not sure. Maybe you can check this.

    Thank you!

    Hi Josele69,

Whenever you install a new update, it contains the updates released before. If you will get only the recent updates. When you run windows update, you also receive only for new updates when you're done with the updates offered. This might be a reason you found less updates after formatting windows.

  • need to reinstall updates after reformat

I have to go to the cumbersome process of reinstall all updates when I reformat the hard drive of my laptop?

Lenovo has created three partitions on the hard drive installed. The smallest drive C contains Windows and software pre-installed. And I was told that the C drive should NOT be resized if not the OneKey recovery no longer work. But we are given the D drive which is MUCH bigger to contain all my personal data.

updates take up a lot of my disk drive of the insignificant C, 19 GB space, which, in the end, let me about 700 MB to work with installing progs more. with do I find n reinstall every single update after reformatting the hard drive or do a system restore point? in this way he doesn't eat any more space in my C drive good?

If not, grateful if you can advice me how to handle this accordingly.

    Hello Vanity.sha,

Thanks for your reply.  A new installation of any operating system takes about 2-4 GB of space in the partition & after OneKey recovery on system should have been about 75% of free space available. I think there could be some unwanted files & folders on your system, so try to free the C: drive & then try to deploy the update for Vista.

In addition, Microsoft & 3rd-party application has the ability to store the program files on all available disks, you can install these applications depending on the free space.

    I hope this helps.

  • MS Win XP SP3 Tech support ends in July 2014, they will still provide security updates after 07/2014?

Fact average email for technical assistance to MS Technology Services / and or chat live with MS Tech, and that's what will be abandoned after 07/2014. I need the security updates after this date for Dell M6300 (Business / Govt.) laptop. Is there a new OS MS (Vista, Win 7?) that runs on the machine Core Duo T7500 w / 2 GB SDRAM. It's my personal machine I use at home, connected to the Internet. I can't afford to buy a new machine.

We are currently in the final phase of support for Windows XP. It is called "extended support". As you can see on this page:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/products/lifecycle

... There will be no security patches released after April 8, 2014.

You should be able to run Windows 7 just fine on a PC with processor and memory that you specify. For more information, see:

    Q

Start by installing the latest Service Pack (see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935791). You'll have so far fewere updtes to install.

Also note the following regarding your answer to the question of PA Bear "clean install has been through choice. After 3 years machine has become bloated and slow, and I decided to wipe them fresh, start over and give up unused programs that seemed a good idea at the time. » :

In my view, it is usually a mistake. With a minimum of care, it should never be necessary to reinstall Windows (Vista or any version). I ran Windows 3.0, 3.1, WFWG 3.11, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 now, each for the period of time before the next release is out and everyone on two or more machines here. I never reinstalled none of them (with one exception--a problem that I worked on for weeks without success), and I've never had anything more than an occasional minor problem.

It is my belief that this erroneous notion comes from the technical support people in most of the major OEMs. Their solution to almost any problem, for they know not quickly answer is "reformat and reinstall. It is the ideal solution for them. It gets you phone turned off quickly, it almost always works, and it does not need to do any real troubleshooting (a skill that most of them has obviously not in any great degree).

But it leaves you with all the work and all the problems. You must restore all backups of your data, you must reinstall all of your programs, you must reinstall all Windows and updates of the application, you must locate and install all the necessary drivers for your system, you will need to recustomize Windows and all your applications to work the way you are comfortable with.

In addition to all these things being long and painful, you may encounter difficulties with some of them: you will find all your CDs application? You will find all the necessary installation codes? You have data backups to restore? You still remember all the customizations and settings that can be installed to make everything work the way you like it? Sometimes there are problems that are so difficult to resolve that Windows has to be reinstalled properly. But they are few and far between; RESETTLEMENT should not be a substitute for troubleshooting; It should be a last resort, to do that once all other troubleshooting by qualified person attempts have failed.

And perhaps most important: If you reformat and reinstall without knowing what caused your problem, you will most likely repeat the behavior that caused it and quickly find yourself in exactly the same situation.

    Hello

Often we see weird behavior as the result of a program of loading during the startup process.

To solve these, we use the clean boot troubleshooting.

The following article describes this process:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Please note that after refine us the cause, it is important that we return to a normal startup and manually delete the startup program.

We'll do this before uninstalling Service Pack 2.

If the behavior persists, then we can clean boot, uninstall and reinstall Service Pack 2.
