  • Time capsule for iTunes and photos

    Hello

I'm looking to use a time capsule as a library for my media such as iTunes, photos and videos, and have more than one mac to access all records.  Disks hard on Macs at home are getting clogged with this type of file and I would like to have both machine to be able to add to or reading of the time capsule.  I hope that this is possible, as a proper storage solution.  It is possible that I have buy another mac with a smaller SSD drive and such shame to not be able to access or control my support of it.

I hope this is the solution you are looking for.

Unfortunately supports for photos is all local computer or iCloud.

What happens if you move the library to the CT and open it it is unknown..., ask people in the photos section.

iPhoto have a part with network functionality, at least until the latest version... but note... it was never to be shared on a TC... Apple said he explicitly did not load the libraries of iphoto on the TC as they have damaged. It could be shared to the network from a computer.

You can store pictures in raw form, of course... but you can not use a central library on a local network device.

iTunes is a little different... library of the CT should be ok... I doubt, however, that several computers can do at the same time... You can have several copies of the library maybe... Although apple do try and control... every computer and device must register via iCloud... and up to 5 devices is allowed.

Apple do not have a server edition of pictures or iTunes... strange that sounds... and a lot of sharing with the local network moved to iCloud, which is another way for apple to make money... but unfortunately even if you can pay for it... It is only for the rich internet... Ie download and upload speeds for the vast majority of people internet speeds are still to achieve anything beyond race snails in a wall.

  • Backup in videos and photos as iTunes backup

My son has a ton of pictures (and videos) on his iPhone 5s. There are currently on IOS 8.x. I want to upgrade his phone to the standard ISO 9.x. If I connect to iTunes and do a "backup", everything on the phone (including photos and video) gets backup upward? I know that when I connect my iPhone, the Photo app opens asking me to download my pictures from my phone. I know that it is a good idea as well, but if I skip that step and JUST do the iTunes backup, I know where I have to erase and restore the backup? I will answer all my photos as well?

    Thank you.

A particular interest should be 10 point above which explains how iOS and iTunes backups differ. Normally, the photos are stored on the computer or in a pictures/iPhoto library, rather than in iTunes or iOS because of concerns of the storage space. It's the same for videos. Both, however, can be stored in your iTunes for syncing your devices.

  • Is it possible to synchronize music and photos from iTunes from multiple computers?

We have two MacBook Pro - one for me and one for my children.

Currently, I manage all the music and pictures via my Mac (synchronization of iOS devices), so there is a place for all the music and photos.

However, children now want to be able to manage their own music and photos.

Is it possible to synchronize music or photos from multiple computers? for example:

-Sync Mac and pictures of the other music

    -Synchronize Mac music

    Thank you

The key thing here is not the machines it's libraries. Devices can synchronize an iTunes library at a time. You have to arrange if both computers have the same library (problems with maintaining them synchronized or using at the same time), or seek a centralized service such as game or music from Apple (with her own set of questions).  The key is that the media distributors wish to exercise tight control over how music and movies can be shared (they don't care about your photos).  You can do things with the homepage of sharing with family.

Family shares - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT201060 - "family sharing makes it easy for up to 6 people in your family share of each and other iTunes, iBooks, and App Store purchases without sharing accounts.» Families with the same credit card purchases and approve kids' expenses directly from the device of a parent. And share photos, a family calendar and more to help keep everyone connected. »

«Sharing content with sharing - http://support.apple.com/HT201085 - bought family"with the participation of the family, family members go immediately to each and any other music, movies, TV shows, books and applications and can download to their devices at any time they souhaitez.*" ' * not all content and content types are available in all countries.» All members of the family must use the same iTunes Store country or region. Music, movies, TV shows and books can be downloaded on up to 10 devices per account, of which five may be computers. Apps can be downloaded from the other facilities, family member owns or controls.

If you do not see your family sharing content - http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5449 also: http://apple.stackexchange.com/a/146077 - exit iTunes Store and App Store apps and start over.

  • Videos and photos full resolution will not download

My iPhone has the option 'download photos in full resolution' is enabled. I decided to do the same thing for my iPhone but when I went to the photos app on my ipad, he said not "enough space". I had 22 GB of free space on my ipad. My library is only 17 concerts. But it refuses to download videos and photos in full resolution. I even tried turning off iCloud photo library, remove all local copies of my photos and videos, turn it back on and selecting 'download full resolution '. Same question. My next option is to restore my iPad for a clean install, but I rather not do. Any ideas?

Performing a restore of backup can erase some extra storage space, but...

Download a library of 17 GB, the memory load to the Photos app, on a device with only 22 GB of free space will leave enough space free work, so the warning is OK - you have not enough free storage.

Go to settings > general > storage & use iCloud > storage management and see if you can remove some unused documents and apps to create more free space. Otherwise, use an optimized library and full resolution images will be downloaded when you need to view or modify.

  • Passing of iTunes and iPhoto Library of 10.4 Tiger in El Capitan

I have an old iBook running Tiger and want to transfer music and picture which is held in the iTunes library and the library of iPhotos on my new iMac El Capitan.

I realize that the Migration Wizard does not work between these two machines and I was wondering the best way for them to move so that they are imported into the new iMacs attendance.

    Any help greatly received.

I think the easiest would be to export music and photos in folders on an external hard drive, and then import them into their respective applications. There was too much change to each app to simply move the libraries and expect everything to work properly I think only.

    Hello

My Maps app is corrupt, so I was offered by Apple supports to reset to factory settings with ' erase all content and settings. "

Once I have my 'new' iPhone restore back upwards as I did previously erase all content, the problem is that as soon as I restored it maps is always crashing so what I want is a way of:

    1. Back up and restore my photos.
    2. Back up and restore all the apps I have (and on the screens of the post if possible).

Is there a way to selectively restore the photos of apps, but not full restore image n?

    Thank you!

  • Movies on iTunes vs Photos streaming on apple tv

I want to see home movies of a canon camera loaded on my iMac through my apple tv.

It seems that I can load into iTunes or Photos to achieve this.  So which is a better way to go?

I noticed that if they are Photos, iTunes must be running on my desktop.

I noticed that apple tv recognizes only 600 videos in my smart video album even if there are 1300 videos in this smart album.

So, I guess I don't really have a specific question, but I'm looking for advice on the best way to do it.  Y at - it an advantage to put them in a single application against each other?

    Thanks for your advice/suggestions.

  • I'm told my iPod classic is not compatible with the latest version of iTunes and I need to buy a new iPod

I have an iPod classic, 160GB, 2009 (I think that I bought in 2011, but they say it's a 2009 version).  I took good care of her, and it worked wonderfully for me.  Recently, with the latest updates of my OS, iTunes, etc. on my MacBook, I got the iPod synchronization problems.  This last time I tried, the iPod has not been recognized by iTunes, or it would be recognized and switch between connected and synchronization, but never go further.  Finally, if I left it long enough that, it would eventually be sync, but then he would go back and forth between sync synchronization, connected and finishing.  After leaving he did that for a while, he would finally come with an error message saying that the iPod could not be synchronized.  Then my iPod was erased at all to this subject (everything is always on my iTunes at least library).  I tried to restore my iPod, which she did, and then synchronize everything again.  He went through the process of synchronization, only to say in the end could not be synchronized.  Sometimes my iPod not even be recognized by iTunes.

So I called Apple Support and they told me that my iPod software is not compatible with the iTunes software.  Both were up to date, so I think I 2.0.4 on my iPod and 12.3.2.35 on my iTunes.  Apple told me that I can't go back to an earlier version of the iPod software because I have no iPod backups on my iTunes.  Therefore they told me the only solution is to spend $ 400 on a new iPod, which I can't afford to do it, nor have you I feel it's a reasonable solution, since my iPod is perfectly good and I was very careful care of her.

Is there anything that can be done to make the two compatible?  Can I download an older version of iTunes?  I'll be able to get my most recent iTunes library on the older iTunes?  Should not continue making it compatible, the iPod classic and iTunes since so many people use iPod classic, and they are the only thing like him around?

I looked in the other forums on the topic, but nothing seems to talk about this compatibility problem and provide a solution.  Someone at - it ideas?  Can you manually manage your music on your iPod, even if the two are not "compatible"?

    Thank you!

So I called Apple Support and they told me that my iPod software is not compatible with the iTunes software.

Seriously...?  My 'classic' 3rd gen iPod in 2003 still works fine with the latest version of iTunes and the latest OS X.  Even the original iPod should still work (assuming the iPod itself still works).  Your iPod classic 2009 is certainly consistent.  That support the needs of the person coming back through training...

When you connect it now, it seems in iTunes?  Are you able to select in iTunes, go to the settings screen, where you see the iPod photo and name in the upper left corner of the window and a box below that?

  • How to recover missing files that are still on the hard drive. iTunes and VLC Player can still read the files.

I had a restore of the system without success and now all my files (music, photos, documents, PDF files, vids, etc) are missing.  My itunes still recognizes the path to music and can play everything.  Same thing with VLC player and photos.   For example, if I go in VLC player and watch my playlist, I see that info a video is C:\Users\kevarendt\Desktop\Vids\... and the player will play the video.  However, I can't file my own.  He is no longer on my desk, where he was saved, but the path always displays it's there.  My drive is still in his usual capacity, so none of my files have been deleted.  I can't even to my user account.  All I see is a Public folder in C:\Users\.  What happened to my user account?  All the paths to my files have nothing to show, but it's still there but invisible.  How can I access it.  I use Vista Home Premium.

    Hello

I suggest you to check that the same in safe mode if you work, try to perform the clean boot

Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

If not work then suggest to activate the hidden files and folders and then check if it works very well.
